How does you game fit the theme?
You are alone for most of the time whilst collecting resources, but the test for survival occurs at night, where you will not be so alone anymore.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Mostly. Little parts of code were made by Googling online, and A* Pathfinding is used. The assets are basic, but fit nicely.

Thank you for the feedback

Nice game

This is a nice submission. Even if it is very simple, it has potential ! Some audio and a slight improvement of the graphism would be good, however it is still a nice job!

Developer

Audio and GFX may be something I look into post-jam, thank you for the feedback.

The graphics were clear, despite being very simple, but I don't know why you didn't just use free assets from itch/kenney.  The UI was difficult and needs some work.  But, overall, the game was a fun survival experience.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback, the UI is in major need for fixes,  I will look into the free assets for the future, but I do like trying to make assets myself.

Submitted(+1)

The game really needs some graphics. But it's not bad. Has potential!

Submitted(+1)

Game is nice, but tutorial in the game would be useful instead of reading everything in the description. The UI could use some work. Mechanics are great. When I figured out how everything works, the game was fun!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback, UI and tutorial are definitely in order post-jam.

Submitted(+1)

the controls feel very nice, for some reason the way you use the tools kinda reminds me of getting over it xd, the sprites mostly look fine but just a bit of detail would be appreciated to understand what the object really is, also i wish the ui was slightly less cluttered but nevertheless it is a good entry and in the end it is pretty fun

Developer

Thank you for the feedback, the UI is in the need for some work, even with the hammer icon hiding some of it. The sprites can be fixed, but for now they are colour coded. The getting over it idea is not just you, do not worry!

Submitted(+1)

The UI could be worked on because it felt really messy. But I liked it. Usually survival games are 3d so this is a nice twist. rated.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback, the UI is definitely in need of a fix post-jam.

I had hard time diving into the game so I may not have full expirience but I wasn't fun of things moving when gathering. Also UI is really messy, I don't mean graphics but more the placement of them. Making more space would make players be more aware what's going on and what option do they have, what belongs where and so on.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback, the UI is another thing I need to fix, it is quite difficult to understand, especially without a tutorial. The crafting UI can be toggled off with the hammer in the top right.

Really good game, but I must repeat what others have said: you have to put at least some description, a few lines, just basic instruction. I was about to quit trying, but found useful comment. Otherwise, I am amazed what you have put together here in just a week! It has grat mechanics and works almost perfectly. Great game!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback, a tutorial is definitely going to be added post-jam. But I do want to know what you were struggling with, because I thought I had added most things into the description of the game?

Submitted(+1)

Well, first of all, I wasnt able to realise what is UI and what is game world. Then, I try thad red scuare bottom right, and was teleported or pushed, then, colliders were mystery to me, I could go trough wals, got stucked a lot, had to restart because of that.

But I really appreciate your efort and I think this needs just a bit of polishing.

Developer(+1)

I think most of it is the absence of a tutorial, and the colliders I made were made to give a slightly angled perspective of the game, but lots of collider glitches will be because of the tools and their colliders linked with the player's. But thank you for the feedback and elaboration!

Submitted(+1)

Took me some time to understand, maybe in need for a better interface or explanations, but once I realized how to get through it was quite fun, I liked the mechanics.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback, definitely will be looking into getting a tutorial mead post-jam.

Submitted(+1)

Great game but the art kinda makes me feel bad for some great mechanic.

Developer

I wish I was able to add some art in, maybe post-jam, but I also do like the minimalism personally.

Submitted(+1)

I like the idea and concept of the game

I'm a fan of survival games.

I think the UI needs some work and a better explanation of the objective/idea of the game (in-game)

I also think with some art enhancements and some extra polish here and there this would be fun.

Using tools with the mouse although a bit finicky makes for a unique playstyle.

nice job!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback, a tutorial is definitely needed, and plenty of polishing!

Game felt nice to play, the resource collecting was done well and felt enjoyable. I was a bit stuck on how to craft but after reading some of the other comments I got the hang of it pretty quicky! would be to see some tutorial implementation if you continue development! good job

Developer

Thank you for the feedback, a tutorial is definitely something I need to implement post-jam, I knew that the description would be harder to understand.

Mining and interacting with the environment was fun, but the objective was kinda vague, I thought I could build something with the materials I collected but for some reason, I didn't manage to do that.

I think this game has a cool concept but needs some refinements.

still, good job!

Developer

In order to build you click on the object you want to place down and then press 'P'. But thank you for the feedback, a tutorial was something I sadly did not get round to implementing.

Submitted(+1)

An interesting prototype. I liked the minimalistic graphics, but the game needs a little refinement.

Thank you for the feedback!

This game reminds me of those .io games, which i used to play during computer class at school.  Was confused on what to do at first since there wasn't any tutorials (well there was instructions if i scroll down the itch.io page). I'm not a good artist as well so if i was in your position i would use basic shapes too. Good job though!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback, sadly I did not get round to making a tutorial, I may do so post-jam.

Submitted(+1)

Great work, a little more guidance in the game itself would probably be all it needs to bring it to the next level.

Developer

Hopefully I will implement that post-jam, thank you for the feedback.

The mining was pretty fun, I ended up mining almost everything, wasn’t too sure what to do after that, great job!

Developer

Wait until the time is between 0 and 6, then monsters will spawn, that is how you earn points and the reason for the walls and resources.

Submitted(+1)

It's always fun to mine!
