How does you game fit the theme?
Although the name is Alone with Cats, you can actually find it heart warming to look after the stray cat.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
The music was created by Franz Gordon. The title screen pixel art was Nala Ortiz. I wrote all the code and assets from scratch.

Very cute and easy to play. Some of the drop targets seemed a little small though.
Nice and relaxing. Simple concept and could be polished up real nice - maybe unlock more rooms, and more ways to take care of your cats with evolving needs... - but still well done as is. When placing the kittens into the boxes, I had to place them a little higher than I though necessary, although if your intention was that you have to drop them in place, then it's fine. Good job!
The concept is good , I feel like it needs more features or game modes added to give the player more to do. But cute and peaceful game.
Others mention issues with the difficulty, but I didn't have too big of an issue with that. I suspect they took on too many cats at a time and got overwhelmed, perhaps you could do something to avoid over-adoption. Like perhaps each cat could cost $10 to adopt, so if you tried getting too many you'd run out of money and need to wait before adopting more. Or maybe you could only have only a few cats in the street which gradually replenish. Another issue could be that they didn't know what clicking on the cats was doing. The game asks you to click on the cat again to confirm, but it's not clear what you're confirming. If you were clearer with this, then the risks of over adoption might have been more obvious. Perhaps after confirming, some text could've appeared to say "adopted", and maybe it could show you how many cats you already have.
Otherwise though, a cute little game. I like that there is an ending, though towards the end was a bit slow as I had just a few cats that were waiting for spca. What does that stand for by the way? Did you make some funny acronym for that or just a random substitute for rspca?

Now for a more critical comment:
high score + your score at the end of the game was bugged for me, showed 0 in both; I quickly stopped having things to spend my coins in, upgrading nipples and beds for speed and not only quantity could be a fix so you have something else to spend money in; I found the fact that you can choose how many cats to adopt at any given point takes some of the challenge away, I played twice, the first one I adopted every cat at the beginning and lost pretty fast, the second one I took my time and it was dead easy, some middle point would be nice; one more task (like playing with something or a scratcher, whatever) could also help in doing the game a little more challenging. As other user said, the box triggers are a little finicky, I usually had to throw a cat twice to hit the boxes.

Graphics, gameplay, sounds, everything is well polished and really good. I don't have much to say because it's really well done. Maybe the zone where to put the kittens are not triggered every time. I had some trouble repositioning the cats sometimes. But appart from that it feel amazing, good job !!

The game looks, sounds and feels amazing. The idea is interesting and pretty fun. But the game really needs a tutorial, and it was not very clear if there was a goal.
I also think there is a bug where you put the cat to sleep, because after I have had a cat sleeping there I ´was not able to get any other cats to sleep there again. I know I tried to make other cats sleep on the sleeping spot when the cat slept there, and this might have made some kind of issue with the sleeping sport.
The icons over the cats that shall tell the player what the cat wanted/needs was not clear enough for me to just know what they meant. And I did not know where the cats need to go to sleep or where they need to go get fed.
You call it upgrades, but what it really does is to add more sports for sleeping and feeding, and it does not make the sleeping or eating better or faster in any way.
For me at least the difficulty was too high, and with the rest of the games very relaxing atmosphere I would have wished the gameplay was much easier and more relaxed.
Overall is this a good idea, and atmosphere alone makes the game worth playing, but like most other jam games is there room for improvement. But you have made a good jam game, and the game is so good that I also would have liked playing it it, even if it was not a jam game. So well done and thank you for sharing your game with us all.

I think it's the first game where I rate everything 5 stars, great work, beautiful sprites great transitions, relaxing music and beautiful concept, it absolutely deserves to be among the top positions of this jam. Well done!
