Really neat speedrunning game, to drive the theme home it would have been interesting to have real leaderboards.

Turrets are a little too difficult, but controls and gameplay is good. Good job!

Not really feeling the theme. But good concept for a game!

Too unforgiving for me, but I like the style!

Really nice game, in perspective of gameplay and concept, I love it. As of difficulty, I hate it. Is to hard. But after acomplishing something, you will feel so good. Until you die, and realize you going to begining :) Great game

i liked the rope swing ability and the mechanics were introduced in an easy to understand way

The art style was very nice and the grappling system worked like a charm! I did have a problem with getting past the turrets and them bugging out if they see me and then turning the other way to shoot. Definitely a challenging game and has potential! Good work!

The concept is interesting and it's a pretty nice game but a bit hard to control and manipulate. I feel like if you improve the walls placing and controls you could have a really fun product !

The dash/grappler items are so small that it's hard to see which is which and I went into a level and just used what I thought was the dash and died haha.

The game is good albeit a bit too hard for me.

I think this game would really be top notch with a controller!

nice mechanics! not sure why but i need to refresh my page again before i move, player movement feels heavy but everything else is good!!

Awesome game and a unique idea! Was definitely challenging, but the levels were designed in a way that it felt intuitive and fair. Also cool pixel art :)

Good work!

Fun game! was overwhelmed by the turrets a little, was hard for me at first, but it was definitely cool

Excellent game! Quick to learn, hard to master. I completed all levels ans even beat 10 seconds on level 2 ^^ Very good work! But are other peoplse real scores in the game? Didn't seem so to me?

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you!

I didn't have much time to implement online scoreboard, so there are only some predefined scores and yours :(

Submitted(+1)

I suspected that, but if you add it in the future that would be really fun :) The game lends itself to speedrunning - especially if you have separate buttons for the two powers, as others have suggested, so you don't get stuck checking which one is selected and switching ;)

Love the game, have to practice more to beat it

Great game, nice work!

This game is so fun! I'm not very good at it, but I love the graphics and the level design. The controls felt exactly as they should for gliding around on a hoverboard. Great job!

I really like the concept and mechanics of the game.

But the grappling hook as others have said is super hard to use. Also when you have multiple skills all of them map to space so in level 4 (i think) I thought I was dashing, but somehow it used the hook

The art is really nice and the game has potential but it needs some polish here and there

good job!

Well done on the pixel art! (sorta reminds me of the end dimension from minecraft lol) The movement felt pretty good too! Although, the grappling hook is a bit too slow and i wish you can see how much ammo you have on it. It's a bit hard to control too. Also, i found the enemy drones to be too accurate and hard to get past. The sound effects are significantly louder than the music, too, and i dont really see how this fits the theme. But you have a pretty good concept with really good potential, great job!

Developer

Haha, didn't thought about the End, before your comment :D

Yeah, I've messed up with the sounds. The drones are intended to be so accurate. You can see amount of charges of every ability near with its icon in bottom left corner of the screen. Controls are a pain, I agree. I wanted to make movement more inertial to encourage players to keep their momentum (and to make a good use of abilities), but it feels not so good and seems to be too hard to control. Gonna experiment with it after the jam will end.

Fitting the theme is quite a loose. I wanted to add a "shadow player" which will show something like a hint, how to beat the level, or maybe will repeat the last player's try. However, I was out of time at that moment :(

Thank you for your feedback!

There's a lot of potential here, but I found the grapple mechanic super hard to get right, and the enemies are very unforgiving. I got two good swings in a row once, but most of the time I failed horribly. I felt like it might be easier if the player had lots of momentum so you could focus just on the swing and not also on pressing the right direction as you go around the corner.
The pixel art and music are solid. Nice work.
