Good game!

I enjoyed the design and ambition of this game. I also liked the simple pixel art and 8-bit sound. Exploring was a good amount of fun. The main mechanic has a lot of potential that you could build upon. I wish I could fire the projectiles faster, though. With how slow it was, I found enemies to be very frustrating, and using the bullet for exploring to be kind of boring while I waited for the cooldown.

A minor and very fixable complaint, though. Well done.

Nice, I really like the mechanics and the characters great job!

Cool game! I like the revealing bullet idea and also all these levels to explore. Would be nice to have a faster fire rate when the bullet hits enemies, especially since bats seem to really like the player haha. It's a great job well done

I like the idea of having a projectile that's necessary for exploration in this kind of game. But when you also make it tied to combat, I think it needs a faster fire rate than what you have here. I would also suggest not having diagonal straight lines as a texture, as they hurt my eyes a bit when the camera moved. Overall good job!

I just love the base gameplay loop - discovery bullets are really nice mechanic! And the fact that the game has different area types (different interactions underwater) gives the game a deeper, more enjoyable, level. A job well done!

Wow, this was awesome! The level design is great! I did notice that the "Bats" don't really attack you, they just have no concept of personal space, and now I kind of feel bad for killing them all >_< Awesome game, great work!

Thanks a lot!

The discovery bullets reminded me of Sova from Valorant haha very cool game!

Shooting a bit hard. Maybe if an indicator shows where the bullets go would be nice but overall it is fun to play. Loved it!

Hey, I just played your game and I really loved it. I like how you used the sprite mask. BTW I would be really happy if you playtest my game and rate it!good luck with the jam

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah, I used the sprite mask :)

The core idea with the discovery bullet is great, the look of the game is cute and consistent and the sound-design fits. The levels are also interestingly designed. I also found the bullet mechanic itself a little hard to use; If you decide to continue working on the tittle, I would try fine-tuning it a little. (I found the reload time to be too long.)

It's a great project, I had fun playing!

Great! Thanks for your feedback!

This was a very interesting game. I like how the bullets acted as a light to show you hidden areas or guide you through said hidden areas. Very simple game, but easily enjoyable!

Developer

Thanks! I am glad you had a good experience :)

A lot of good ideas here. I think the art style works mostly with a couple of objects that were hard to decipher (like the portals to areas). My biggest gripe with this is that the bullets are difficult to use. They don't go very far, it's difficult to aim, and they don't last for very long. And combine that with the fact that there's a hefty cooldown between each shot means this is more diffcult then it needs to be.

I'd say fix that piece and this would be a really solid title.

Very cool and cute. So many great ideas. I like that it is possible to redirect the projectiles of the enemies :)

Thanks!

Very well done and polished. I did seem to soft-lock myself in an infinite black void, but I'm sure the ending was fun.

Developer

Thanks! I don't know how did you break the game, sorry about that.

This was a very well-rounded game! Had some nice graphics, particles, and sound. The enemy deaths were incredibly satisfying.

I found myself feeling impatient due to the slow attack speed of the character - a lot of the early gameplay ended up being me standing around waiting for my attack to go off of cooldown. The bombs you get later on alleviate that, but until that point the gameplay feels attack-speed gated.

Developer

I am glad you liked it. Also thanks for your feedback!

The game fits really good to the theme, your level design was also really good.

The graphics were really simple, but the style was still good.

I liked it.

FYI: When you dont move, and enemys stand next to you, you wont get hit, really weird bug.
