It was nice game. The one thing I didn't like was the fact that your health would go down every time you shot.

Love the look, had fun killing zombies, Good Job!

looks cute, the music is nice. it's a fun little game.

Fun and quick game, I have not played a lot of action games in this jam, you did good. Keep it up!

A nice take on the theme. Good job :)

Good game! I love the art and music

I was very confused about how the real/fake system worked. Im not sure if there was supposed to be some other enemy detector other than the blue bar at the top because just using that was kind of weird because you ended up just waiting for the bar to fill up then clicking it and shooting the leftover zombies. I also think some way to get ammo back would be good (unless that is in the game I could not tell).

Overall nice job for your second game jam game!

Developer

Thanks for the comment, A lot of people also mentioned that the enemy detector thing was weird, I'll probably add another way to differentiate between real and fake zombies when the jam is over.

It was a bit confusing at start about how the real/fake system works but once you take the grasp of it, it's actually pretty cool !

At some point, some bullets still touch the fading ones, wasting ammos.

But on overall, really nice sounds and visual feedback and well made game (>w<)/

Good job on this entry ! (°w°)b

Thanks for the comment, I'm glad you liked it. I am aware of the bullet issue because someone also mentioned it and I actually fixed it, I'll publish the fixed build after the jam is over.

Neat game. I like the sprite art, it's simple but pretty effective. I also thought it was cool that the fake and real zombies had different death animations, nice touch. Like someone below already said, the level of polish is pretty high with the alerts that the disappearing bar is full, ammo upgraded, etc. Very clear with sfx and everything.  Also made pretty clear that ammo = health with the sprite work on the health bar. Well done.

If you wrote the music (which was cool), you could ramp up tension between waves by adding elements over time. Same composition and all, but add some percussive elements later on, maybe new melody, etc.

Developer

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. I made the music in like 10 minutes, but I think I'll go with your advice and change it up a bit

Cute game! The artstyle was not bad, the music and sound effects were also good enough. Very well-polished game, giving appropriate feedback when reloading, killing fake enemies, upgrading, and when the bar is full... Well done. The interpretation on the theme is similar with me XD which I really like... Didn't manage to beat the game, but great entry... Good job!

Developer

Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it!

Cool game! The art was pretty cool and the take to the theme was great!

I rated your game, it would make me very happy if you rate mine :)

I think it's just impressive that you managed to create this game by yourself. Doing a jam by yourself can be challenging and I am so glad you pulled it off. I still have some suggestions for this game, I wish there was another way to tell if the zombies are not real and I'll explain why. With the current system in this game, the best time to use the detector is always when there are a lot of zombies on the screen, and it doesn't add too much "strategy" into the game. If you can tell that there are "not real" zombies on the screen by their looks or the way it walks, you can save your detector and not waste it when there are a lot of zombies on the screen and only 1 or 2 are not real (maybe even 0). I think you created an awesome game, I can't wait to see what you come up with in the future, keep up the good work!

Developer

Thank you for this great feedback, I was considering that the fake zombies make a different sound when on screen in addition to the detector mechanic, but I didn't have the time

Good idea, fits the theme and good execution ! The game is simple at first, but the later levels can be a bit tricky and make use of the "detector" mechanic., that's a good difficulty curve.

That's a good entry, especially if it's your second game. Congratulations =) ! Did you also make the music ?

Developer

Thanks for playing the game, I'm glad you like it and yes I did make the music.

Well done, I really like the idea! Great job!

I just rated your game, maybe you can do the same on mine ^_^

Great job on this game! I really enjoyed the gameplay loop and was trying my best to conserve and not shoot the fake zombies. I agree with others that it would be nice if you could get health back, but I actually enjoyed the challenge. Great job on this game!

Nice game! It would add a lot if you had a way to tell which zombies were real before using the real detector, like maybe they have a different skin color or hair color, and also if they became intangible right after they die, instead of being able to be hit while they're fading. But for your 2nd game? Not bad, not bad at all.

Submitted(+1)

Nice and simple. Only thing for me would be just an opportunity to recover health. Great game though!

Submitted(+1)

Nice game,

would be nice to have a way to replenish health every now and then, and maybe get other weapons, etc.

But fits the theme nicely

Good job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you, I was considering adding new weapons but I didn't have the time,  instead you get a damage upgrade on your gun for every 15 kills

I really liked the idea of the game, however, it would be better if you make the scene a bit bigger..

Developer(+1)

if you press the blue fullscreen button it'll make the scene a little bit bigger, some of the player still gets cut off but it's still better. Though, I'm glad you liked the game.

Submitted

Nice, I didn't notice that. You can try my game and give me your feedback though.

Developer(+1)

will do :)

Submitted(+1)

Thats a really interesting game, everything fits the theme and its enjjoyable.

I suggest adding a shop so the player can buy medkits, weapons and shields. Other than than good job you made an awesome game.

Developer

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it

I like the concept of having to identify fake enemies to conserve ammo. it would have been cool to have some other way than trial and error to detect them though

Developer

Thanks for the comment, you can spot fake zombies without trial and error by pressing space when the blue bar at the top is fully loaded. It eliminates all of the incoming fake zombies. Is that what you are referring to?

Submitted(+1)

yes, i was saying that it would be nice to be able to spot them visually or something, that way you know when spacebar is necessary and when it isnt
