How does you game fit the theme?
The game is about deceiving your enemies with fake versions of yourself! Distract them, make them solve normally impossible puzzles for you, and more!

❗ The game closes when you press Escape!

Move around while holding shift to create a fake version of yourself. The clone will perfectly follow the movements you record!

━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🎮 Controls 🎮 ━━━━━━━━━━━
▪️ W, S, A, D - Move
▪️ Space - Jump
▪️ Shift (Hold) - Create clone
▪️ Ctrl (Hold) - Focus camera on clone
▪️ F11 - Toggle Fullscreen
▪️ Escape - Quit

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yep! All the code (except open-source code libraries), music (used the Serum synthesizer and the SGM soundfont for the instruments), sounds (public domain Freesound samples were used only when mixed in with my own recordings), and graphics were made from scratch! :3

Interesting mechanic and very polished looking game. Great job!

A really interesting idea for the puzzles I like them very much! Also very polished, very nice looking and sounding! Can't complain about anything, had a lot of fun playing it!

A clever game making good use of the theme and an innovative approach to solving puzzles. Not too much of a fan of the precision jumping and single-life for each level.

That was great, I really enjoyed that game. The music and ambiance work really well and the overall gameplay felt polished. Good job :)

This is a very cool game. The concept is very cool and fun to play with (once I figured out you have to hold shift), and the execution is well done.  Great work!

probably the best game i have played for the gamejam. the controlls are tight fast, the graphics are beautifull and i like the contrast between the glowing blue dungeon and the red mage and the polish is amazing. my only very slight problem with the game is that the last level felt a little too long(thats probably my fault for just being bad at puzzle games, but still)

Quick question: wtf?

This is on another level. Get more levels, get it a bit more difficult. You can easily build a full on decent indie game out of this. Crazy!

OK, seriously this is freakishly well-made for just a week. This game looks gorgeous and the gameplay is so much fun. Love the puzzles and mechanic used to solve them.

The pacing and introduction is really well done! You excellently introduce the clone mechanic and display to what it's capable through the design of the levels. It teaches you perfectly how to play the levels without telling you how to solve it, if that makes any sense.

The platforming is also really nice and snappy. The movement feels polished but sometimes I think i lose jump height.. sounds weird but I feel like sometimes I jump higher then other times and I did try if if it's connected to how long you press Space but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Regardless, this game is astounding to me. Great job, mate!

The game is amazing ! Really innovative and the gameplay is so good !

Seriously this game is already insane and has a lot of potential, imagine just working on it a few more weeks, this could lead to something amazing.  It really looks like you began exploiting all the possibilities you have with this gameplay (which you did pretty well considering the small time for this jam). But still, I think there is so much more to get from this game.

Good job on this one !

A very well executed puzzle game with clones, which is always an interesting one to see, since there's been quite a lot of spins on the premise before.  This one was pretty well executed overall, and I do think it's a bit of a unique spin to see the main mechanic centered around clones kiting enemies to locations.  Adds a bit of strategy to the gameplay

Although I do have to say it does remove a lot of the danger because the enemies will always just follow the clone and then stay there which means that playing as the "real" character is generally more danger than it's worth.  Leading to me essentially just entering every area with the clone unless I forgot and never really having to face any of the danger personally, just leaving the magic clone to stand there ignoring everything forever.

Some feedback I would give though is that the ingame control prompts are a little vague. They don't have any sort of indication on what they do, or whether they are a hold or toggle key etc.  Which lead to a few situations of me not quite understanding what exactly I was getting by hitting a key, while being right next to it's introduction prompt.

It would be nice if  maybe there was a diagram of what it does?  Could give a interesting way to quickly tell people what each button accomplishes.  Same for some indication that you are supposed to hold a lot of the buttons (or possibly switch to toggles to make it clearer ?)

Overall though, a nice quick puzzle game with some very decently designed puzzles and a relatively interesting base set of mechanics for more.

simple game that fits the theme nc. do you mind rating my game too thanks!

A 5 stars everywhere, I can't believe you made that in just 7 days. Congrats! this is amazing! I f I would have some feedback, I would say to make something to change the shift control because I was always releasing this touch too early and it was frustrating.

I'll try to leave useful feedback, but I will note before that this game is very polished, visually appealing and the core mechanic is very powerful and can allow for so many unique "a-ha!" moments when figuring out the catch to each level.

Game design itself was perfect. Bar these tiny nit-picks.
the 1x1 platforms were sometimes very high or awkwardly placed, maybe I'm not great at platformers but I felt a lot of the challenge I faced in this game was just landing on little platforms correctly which distracted me from the fun in-depth puzzles you had put the time into.

The flying enemies were a death sentence unless you send out an alter ego before they're on screen basically. I did find myself wishing for the ability to make them switch targets to my alter once they had already started chasing me.

I see how it fits the theme, but maybe room for slight improvement in that area.

Audio was great and art was awesome. Bonus points for making it yourself.

Overall it was actually hard for me to think of things to be critical about, you have done very well and I had lots of fun! Keen to see more from you in the future.

P.S Next time PLEASE build to web, you have a incredible amount of comments and ratings as it is, but I could have seen this blowing up if there was a web build. They just get so many more clicks.

thank you so much for the feedback! the 1x1 platforms were created since the play-testers complained about the levels being too easy (they can still complete the whole game in 2 minutes ^^')

the flying enemies can actually lose sight of you! in the last level you can out-run them, but I understand how that can be unclear since it wasn't explained anywhere in the game :P

i'm glad you had fun playing my game, and thanks for playing! :D

Ahh makes sense, I don't play many platformers so that one is probably on me anyway. Keep up the good work!
