How does you game fit the theme?
It fits the theme by incorporating illusions. These illusions teach the player to think outside of the box creating interesting puzzles.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I made every bit of code, audio, sprites. However, someone else made the thumbnail.

This dot graphics and concept are great! I had a lot of fun playing it.
Really nice game, it was fun and had an interesting story. My only complaint would be the position of the camera transitions, some of which were in annoying places, but that's my only complaint.
Really nice game ! Overall, the game is really polished and enjoyable, the story is nice and, for a 7 days jam, that's really impressive, good job ^^ ! I have noted 3 little that, in my opinion, you could improve ^^ :
- The illusion mechanic is nice, but is sometimes a little bit unfair : the character is able to detect fake blocks from a distance, but its slipperiness made me still fall a couple of times ^^'. It was not "trial and error", which is good, but sometimes felt like it.
- The ground detection on the pushable blocks is also very strange, it feels like they use a circle collider instead of a box collider, so, sometimes, the jump imput is "eaten" ^^'.
- Certain camera transitions are badly placed, and I died in holes I didn't knew were here.
But there are just 3 little things, the game is still very good like this, congratulations !
Also, I finished the game with, then without checkpoints. I was a bit disappointed to not have a "true ending" at the end of the "insane" mode, but for a 7-days jam, I won't complain ^^. You have a nice little concept and I would love te see more of it in the future =)
Great game, I love it!
I just rated your game, maybe you can do the same on mine ^_^
sure
Nice game! All of the puzzles felt fair, and I really liked the illusion mechanic.
I am glad you liked it!
Cool puzzle game.
ty
Really cool game ! Loved the art.
The puzzle where a little bit easy but still smart (especially the very first one <3) & making puzzles in such a short time is hard. :)
Tiny feedback : on the lava room i was kinda caught by surprise as i thought it was still part of the cinematic. and by the time I started moving the lava was already there. Maybe give it 1 more second before it rise so people are not taken by surprise ? And you can definetly make it rise faster.
Apart from that really good game. good work :)
Thank you!
Very interesting!
I like the story, but I don't understand exactly what the illusions are in the context of the story. Is it just the scientist messing with the robot? This is not necessarily something to add to the game - you can leave it ambiguous! It's just a personal question.
I confess I played in casual mode with the checkpoints - I feel that having the two options is a good idea, but I'm not sure I'd care to optimize the game for the non-checkpoints mode. Is there a difference in story? In any case, I'm positively surprise as to how well the checkpoints were implemented! I always felt that when I died, I returned to exactly the place I'd expect to return. Well done!
The puzzles are also very interesting. A lot of games have used the mechanic of walls/floor that is visible but it's not really there, but by making it a puzzle game you actually create expectations on the player on where the illusions may be. It's not just trial and error, I actually felt that I could predict where most of the illusions were. And the visual flair of the illusions is very polished.
I wish there were some illusions in the escape sequence!
Great game. Good job!
Thank you alot for the feedback! This is a testing facility for illusions as it states at the beginning where there is a sign in the background. It is very easy to miss though.
Good polished game. I thought the puzzles were challenging enough and interesting. I'm going to guess that the scientist is supposed to represent your relationship with the players, hahah.
Yes get experimented on. Lol
I don't know if this was intended but the ground felt slippery and it was bit difficult to stand over the boxes because if I moved to the corner i fell. Yhe story was entertaining and simple and I liked that.
I liked the game. Don't quite see the theme but that's probably more of a player issue.
Nice puzzles and love the wall glitch effect! Would be nice if the camera had a bit of movement to it to spice things up.
One of the best games i have played so far! fun short simple story that was very entertaining
I am so glad!
One of the best game on this jam! A bit too short but very well designed
Thank you!
Fun, short game. perfect for the jam. The only issues I have found in your game, checkpoints were a bit too rare, the color of the moveable box should be slightly different, jumping on the box was a bit weird.
I will look out for good contrast in colors next time, thank you for your input!
Awesome game. There are some game design aspect you can develop it later. Consistency for using unbounded sidewall. Also the introducing of ladders could be a bit earlier. I've reapted that part multiple times.
I've learnt a lot from your game. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much, I will keep those introduction aspects in mind for my next game!
As it turns out, I'm kind of insane ;) lets just say I'm now very good at the beginning section. This game was very fun! It really reminded me of the mobile game "trap adventure", if you've ever played that. I appreciated how you can't get the boxes stuck in corners too. The ending took me a bit by surprise, but I was all for it.
The only thing I would work on a bit is the jumping, cause at the moment it can feel as thought the inputs can be dropped if you're a fraction late. To fix this you can simply add a bool for the jump input, where its true when the jump button is hit, and when the player is on the ground and that bool is true, the jump occurs, also reseting the bool. Also if you really wanted to give a bit of leniency, you could add a small timer for after you leave the ground to still have the player be "grounded" so if the input comes right after you walk off of an edge, it'll still jump.
I hope this was informative, and good luck! other than the jump mechanic tho, I felt that this was a really solid project!
I honestly thought no one would notice my box system! That is a great idea, I will try that next time!
Very fun game and cool artstyle. Seems a bit short but I incentivize you to keep working on it in the future.
Glad you liked it!
