How does you game fit the theme?
This was my very first game jam and I'm quite proud with how much I learned making Pimenton. The theme was inspired by the film Paprika (which had a lot of dream scenes and surreal scenes of the world falling apart that created a lot of uncertainty of what was real) and so I tried to capture that feeling a bit through a game where the levels end up being fake and falling apart. Hope you enjoy!

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I watched a lot of unity tutorials and followed a lot of them for how to write code, but everything was made from scratch. I also used FEEL by More Mountains, which I own from the Unity store. The art and audio are all made from scratch.

This game is soo good! I really enjoyed the challenges and slight difficulty to get be able to exit the game. The character is super cute! Hope to see more.

Please take a look at my game and rate if possible: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-7/rate/1419398

This is really, really good. Especially for a first game jam game. The transitions between stages were particularly impressive.

The player character is very well animated. Good use of color and shapes in the environment.

The levels, despite hiding things from the player and changing mid-gameplay, never felt confusing or frustrating. They are very well designed.

Loved the singing at the end. Fantastic.

Biggest gripe was that it was too short. I wanted more!

Greate game, this was a very well polished game.

This game was both engaging and hilarious! The use of fourth-wall breaks and the interactions with the narrator were great, and the platforming itself felt nice to control. There's very little I'd say needs improvement, but maybe some background music would help liven up the already funny voice acting. This one is a winner in my eyes; congratulations!

God damn this game has the funniest audio I've seen in the jam so far. The whole experience definitely feels like I'm traversing a weird dreamscape so if that was your goal then you absolutely nailed it. Congrats on the first jam submission! I hope you're encouraged to participate in more because this was excellent.

Filed this under “Story driven and discovery like game.” only because I can’t really tell what genre can hold this sort of trippy game. Technically I finished the game, even though I still can’t see with my mind. 😅 Hopefully another run-through and I’ll get it? Or maybe there needs to be some tweaking here and there in the level design?

Congrats on getting this out there during the game jam!

Nice platformer, great banter, and surprising mechanics! I can feel some Fez influence but you have something awesome here, keep exploring the concept.

Amazing game! Love the back and forth interaction with the narrator! The level design was perfect, it got me gradually used to everything and the gameplay just went so smooth throughout.  Love the sound effects too, and the whole ending scene! Very quirky and fun!

Lol I was cracking up at points of this game, great job! Also the dubbing you did here was spot on. The applause at the end really got me! Cool concept and liked the kind of horror element to the platformer. Great job and keep it up!
