How does you game fit the theme?
We are used to looking in the mirror and seeing the real world reflected back to us. In our Esher inspired 3D puzzler things are not as you might expect. You must explore the 'real' world and the mirror world and decide what is not real to solve the puzzles.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
First Person Controller provided by Unity
Models and Sound Effects by Kenny
Character Model and Animations by Mixamo
Textures by Pro Haven
Music by Jake Francis South
All other code and assets made from scratch.

Great puzzle with great concept, reminds The Talos Principle
This is an excellent prototype! I think it would work really well in VR, with some upgraded and immersive graphics. Consider also adding some more theme music throughout the levels as well!
The game was lagging a bit on my old Surface laptop. Consider downscaling the graphics for the older machines. (It’s probably all them mirrors.)
Happy to be your 20th rater! :)
So, I like the innovative approach of this game, it took me some time to learn the rules but it was pretty fun afterwards. I really liked the design of these rooms and the seamless gameplay flow. The audio was also spot-on.
When I read "Escher-inspired" I was expecting some more impossible geometry shenaningans, but I like the style anyway.
Do you plan on extending it after the jam?
Wow! Thanks so much for getting us to the big 20!
We really wanted to create a puzzle game where the player works out the rules themselves. We tried to build up the puzzles in a way that made that process intuitive. Although we definitely should have included controls!
Although we looked at Escher’s impossible geometry as an option we were really inspired by his candle mirror piece. The idea of mirrors showing something different to the real world really struck a chord with us.
There is still a lot to explore with this concept so we are definitely going to look into expanding it after the jam.
Thanks so much for your review!
A fun lil puzzle game! almost like a dungeon of puzzles! good work
Thanks a lot for giving it a go. I’m glad you enjoyed it!
An awesome puzzle game that I really liked! You could make a full release from this! ^_^
Thanks for giving it a go, I’m really glad you enjoyed it! As many people seem to like the game we are thinking of improving it and extending it into a full release. Thanks for the suggestion.
pretty nice game! good puzzle!
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Nice puzzle game. Easy to pick up and play and it scales reasonably well.
Thanks for giving it a go. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
This is a great puzzle game. Not only does it fit the theme perfectly but it also felt challenging enough to still be fun. The use of the character in the reflections was also very unique and I liked the ending. Well done!
Thanks! I'm glad we managed to get the difficulty level just about right.
This game is so fun ! I even lost in between, the puzzles were really good ! All the best ! The theme of using mirrors stands out !
Thanks for giving it a play. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
if possible do check out mine also :)
This was a very unique puzzle game! I like the use of mirrors to help tell you the colors you need to press on the door to open it, and it felt very satisfying to see that door open. The only minor things I noticed was your player controller still moved a bit even after I let go of the W key, and that the movement wasn't smooth and looked choppy. Other than that, great puzzle game!
Thanks for trying the game out. I'm glad you found the doors satisfying (It's one of the things I'm most proud of). The player controller was something we didn't really have time to perfect, but we will definitely make sure to focus on it in future. Thanks for your feedback.
Phenomenal! These puzzles were super satisfying to solve. I wish the mirrors were better lit somehow.
Thanks a lot for giving it a go. We had a lot of issues with getting the mirrors to reflect things clearly whilst still looking like mirrors and not flat images. Glad you enjoyed it anyway.
Funnily enough, I only noticed the lighting first time I played! I didn't really acknowledge that the reflections were not physically accurate. None the the less, the mirrors served their purpose, and your game looks super fancy!
Very good puzzle game, I loved how you took a simple concept and explored it in multiple forms! At first it took me a while to understand what to do, but in the end I was able to complete all the ten levels (and I know I'm not a good player :P), so I can say it definitely works!
Also, I really appreciated the clean graphics and the Escher-inspired arts and settings *_*
Thanks for giving the game a go. I'm glad you enjoyed it. We really wanted to focus on a single concept and expand from there. I'm glad that came across and we got the difficulty level right. Thanks for reviewing.
Pretty cool concept! I liked the animation of the doors and the character! I only wish there was a bit more variety in the gameplay.
good job!
Thanks for checking it out. The doors took ages so I'm glad you liked them!
This a simple and fun puzzle game. The introduction to the game mechanic was not always super clear to me, but it worked okay and I got all way to then end of the game. Overall a good jam game. Well done.
Thanks a lot! I'll go and look at yours now. The concept seems interesting.
Nice puzzle ! That was a good moment with a puzzle difficulty well balanced.
Only one think, a background music could be welcome when we solve puzzles.
Good job !
Thanks! Balancing the difficulty was something we focussed on. I'm glad it worked.
Very cool puzzle game, probably one of the best on this jam! Would be cool if there would be some backgroung music while you solving all this puzzles.
That's very kind of you! I'm glad you liked it.
It was really a good game. I like the idea and your execution as well,
Pros:
-> Puzzles are intuitive and you can find out how to solve it.
-> simple idea and rules to follow - core of a good puzzle game.
Cons :
-> some on-screen control prompt - for the first puzzle .
-> better sounds (the door sound and animation was good btw)
I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for the great feedback. We'll definitely keep that in mind for next time.
It was interesting, you should probably have the controls in the description or a simple tutorial. It took me so long to open the first door.
Thanks a lot for giving it a go and leaving feedback. I'll definitely be sure to include that next time.
Your game looks very nice! Good job, you did very well!
Thank you very much! I've given you a rating on your game too!
I loved the game and could have played it for longer. It's rare to see good puzzle games but you did an amazing job! My favorite game so far :)!
Thank you so much!
