This is a very clever and well made puzzle game. Using turn-based, pathfinding is quite a unique and novel idea that works very well for the chasing mechanic and dog theme.

The level design is quite good, it introduces you to the basic mechanics before putting the player in more tricky situations. The last few levels in particular has the player needing to experiment and think outside the box.

My favourite level was lvl 10, the one where you had to make the two dogs "believe" that you had taken the only biscuit whilst making sure to position them between two pillars so they could not see the buffet of treats around them. Brilliant lol.

My only criticism is a minor one, the volume sliders don't carry over levels meaning I was blasted with loud music after beating a level I was stuck on for a while.

Overall, a very engaging and unique puzzle game. Well done!

Thank you for playing! I'm glad you liked the model and thought it looked cute since that's what I was going for, I was worried that it would look creepy and I started to hate the look of it myself tbh. Next time I might have it look a bit more neutral and than smile with an animation when needed.

I did mess around with camera quite a bit for smoother transitions and got it so that gravity would slow as well as slowing the camera when entering orbit. This only works about 50% of the time though lol, so it needed more tinkering but I ran out of time.

I wanted to add more "buildables" like the cannon as well as more modes of transport but it took longer than expected debugging the cannon. I like your idea of optional planets to explore, I think that would make the space setting a bit more immersive as well as breaking up the gameplay loop a bit.

Lastly, I'm happy you enjoyed the silly ending haha. I really rushed it and wanted some sort of cinematic but at least I got the dancing in. Thanks again for playing my game. Your feedback is very much appreciated!

Thanks for playing!

Simple yet addicting gameplay. I like the parallax scrolling effect you have with the clouds and the foreground.

Unfortunately there isn't much gameplay but I can see what you wanted to do. I really like your 3D models especially of the cat and its purring animation.

I can see what you were going for here, its a shame you ran out of time to decorate the level but the layout was good. I like the wall running mechanic you added and the little explosion at the end when you collect all the ingredients was cool. With some sound effects and some more models, this would be fantastic.

Overall, I had fun playing.

Cool platformer! The controls felt fluid and responsive and the platforming was challenging but not too difficult. There was a platform at the beginning that you could fall through but other than that it was fine. The music seems to cut out if you get too far from the entrance for some reason but it was pleasant and fit the game well. Nice work.

Nice work on the voice acting, even if it was a bit silly it added to the immersion of the game. I also liked your models and dialogue that you can eavesdrop on the family. The doors were a bit weird, I had to bash myself against them and hope they would open.

Overall I enjoyed it, bit of a tragic ending though lol.

This game is quite fun. Surviving waves of attacks, whilst getting weapon drops until the next area opens is a good gameplay loop. The shop system doesn't seem to work unfortunately, it just says "you're broke" regardless of how much money I have and picking weapons up is very finicky.

Overall I enjoyed it, not sure what happens at the end though as I couldn't get past the bald guys without glasses.

Wow this is difficult but also really good! I like the progression of upgrades as well as the difficulty increasing as you progress further. The gameplay loop is so addicting that I spent nearly an hour trying to get to the end (as well as dying dozens of times).

My main criticism is that the difficulty is simply too high, you start with 5 HP which is easily depleted as multiple enemies show up, although it can be upgraded. Also, I found it easier to just cheese it by dashing straight to the bottom rather than trying to get upgrades and inevitably dying.

After beating the armada I'm not sure what to do. The devourer showed up and killed me instantly the first time. The second time, it got stuck inside of me which I think is a bug.

Ultimately, the game is a very unique and innovative take on space shooters and I did enjoy it enough to play as long as I did. If you were to change one thing to improve upon the game, I would say to just tweak the difficulty a bit because what you have already is really good. Well done!

Sorry the game wont launch for me, it says there is a missing file :(

This is cool little game! The gameplay loop of hopping onto other frogs to win is simple yet very refined and addicting. I really like that you can play either versus against the CPU or with other players using the keyboard. I also loved the customisation of the frog models, that was a nice touch.

My only complaint is that it could've done with some more sound effects and music to liven it up a bit.

Overall, a very nice multiplayer game.

Yep its the defacto grace period lol, ill be doing that from now on.

"Game files are not locked for the first 48 hours" damn so I could've just uploaded a dummy and switched it out. I wish I knew that before.

My game is a space platformer, its short but uses cool custom gravity mechanics

I know bro, I swear uni is more forgiving with deadlines

I was on the submit page before the deadline and the long upload time went past it. Now I wanna die.

Great art comforts the disturbed and disturbs the comfortable. I felt both playing this game.

Looks great. I think the grassy tiles, bordering the snow should have a white snowy edge a bit like you have done with the water tiles already, then it would blend together nicely.

You've done a lot more than me then. Its day 2 and I've only got a few notes down on the idea

Yeah I think I just wont bother lol. I always score terrible with the theme anyway.

Do people really care if the game matches the theme or can I just make whatever I want?

I don't think I can fit the theme to any of my game ideas.

I do like the story so I'll try not to spoil anything. I find the concept of playing as a robot in a world dominated by machines quite interesting. I got as far as the part where you can chose to go, North, South, East and West and then I was lost.

My only criticism is that I would have preferred to continue the dialogue with a key press rather than a mouse click, as the button kept moving and became a bit tedious.

If you continue to finish the game, I would look forward to playing it again to get the full story.

Cool game. The idea of using coloured switches to shoot and activate platforms was fun and unique. Also, the fact that you did this in only a few days is very impressive. Well done!

Never played a game before where chickens were the main enemy, so that was different hehe. The game was interesting enough for a few mins but after getting more than 4 keys, it became a bit stale. If there was more to do, like activating switches, avoiding traps, the levels getting more elaborate and stranger looking over time, then I could see myself playing for a bit longer.

Quite impressive that you made it in a few hours though and it definitely has potential for more content with the randomly generated levels you implemented

The music and artstyle is very nice. Unfortunately, the biggest problem I had, is that the collision was very off. I was floating above objects and powerups can be stood on but only collected when you walk into them from the side. If the collision was fixed, this would be a fun, fast-paced platformer.

Overall, I enjoyed it. Collecting powerups to go really fast and using the jetpack at the same time was a fun mechanic.

I've finished it, if you are still interested.

Back again this year because I couldn't finish in the Brackeys game jam again. Tbf though, this time I was a bit more ambitious. Leaving this here so I have no excuse not to finish it.

Thanks for playing! I fixed the enemy AI so it stops within attack range of the player. I've been procrastinating modelling the enemies because I am terrible at 3D modelling humanoids but I'll get that done as well.

I'm glad you had some enjoyment with what I managed to do for the jam. I hope to get it finished this month at least.

That story was fantastic! The gameplay loop was very satisfying and became more engaging each time a treasure was found. The game itself was already quite fun as a simple fishing game so I love how the theme has a double-meaning, both diving deeper to fish and to uncover the truth.

This is a very good game, definitely one of he best I've played on the jam.

The models look very weird but in a cool way. I probably couldn't 3D model anything that good in a month, let alone a week, maybe one day. I don't really understand what the story is about but it seems to fit the theme of diving deeper into a person's mind.

Having a choice of classes is nice but the warrior is just a worse version of the mage and archer, I felt. Maybe if the warrior did more damage per hit or had more health, it would be worth it.

Overall, it is a very good looking game and was fun to play with no major downsides.

Wow this is the kinda game I wish I could make in a week, let alone 3 days! Well done for not only making finished game but also a good one. I like the non-literal interpretation of the theme, diving deeper into the past of the main character is more interesting than the ocean or mining.

Only problem I had, is that it is easy to fall off the edge of the world when exploring. Some colliders would have solved that. Although, I had no problems when sticking to the main path and it was overall a fun experience.

Keep the game simple, polished and fun. I tried to make a big game, that wasn't polished and was no where near finished enough to be fun. Still I learnt a ton I was otherwise convinced was too difficult, such as AI navigation, terrain building and animation.

For a week jam, this game was a bit too much for me to handle but I learned a lot in that time, so it was worth it. The combat and the enemies are very lacking but I aim to fix that and re-submit the game sometime this month. I also managed to get a basic quest and dialogue system going but obviously I wont update anything until after the jam ends as it wouldn't be fair. I had fun making the environment and music so I am glad to hear that you liked that. Thank you for playing!

Your team clearly put a lot of time and effort into this and it paid off. This is one of those games I would consider playing for fun in my free time, so seeing that it was made in just a week is very impressive. There was also no noticeable bugs that I could find, just a fun experience. Well done!

I got 9/10 and the creepy sharks got me. Good game.

Simple but solid game. Funny how I managed to splat the potato off the sky haha. The score system was confusing a little bit. I'm not sure whether it was the distance, speed or height that increases the score.
