I liked the effect to show the cube being damaged, really cool. Maybe the enemies could follow the player in some pattern rather than making a straight line towards us, and I felt kinda slow, movement could be faster (and the enemies also, to keep up with the player). And really nice looking game, congrats!

In what way does your game fit the theme?
First full game and very difficult :D, good luck!
Note: because the build player prefs didn't delete on build there is no intro screen and everyone has the same id which is why everyone is on the same account/ leaderbord. You can still go to extras > intro to get to intro.
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes I made everything myself except for music which I used a generator for.

1.10.47 :D Interesting game! I think it needs hold attack its exhausting to clicking. Signs are faint in A D revese part i died because of it. Other than that good job (*•̀ᴗ•́*)و ̑̑
Amazing game, with big speedrun potetial :D and that sugar crumbling effect is really nice
Amazing! I tried to play it. it was really hard to jump next table. I couldn't do that. I think you might want to create an easy level. Overall, the UI menu, art, and sounds were unique! good job!
I love how it looks, and I think you can add some simple sounds not to overcrowded and ruin the overall feel. Maybe an intringuing track, witht the voice of the cube getting scare of been chance and change the pitch when is too close.
Overall a great entry!
The game feels very good, the core gameplay feels great and the level design is barebones but it fits the game the way it was meant to be played! What stayed with me from this game was how good was this game’s UI, VFX and the visuals of the game as a whole were astonishing, and all these main menu features and ingame fx gave it the feel of an AAA game! Awesome work, especially if you think this was made in 7 days!
The visual effects is definitely very extraordinary and beautiful. I love the calming tone of the game, it gives a little bit of hollow knight / cuphead vibe.
The disintegrating effect of the character makes it awesome as well! It acts like a time limit to how long your character can hold! Very nice game.
I loved the simple art style and calm music at the back and UI looks clean.
the only annoying thing for me was the "prefect jump" the screen shake felt a bit disorienting, I think it should be swapped SFX but other then that a really great game, loved it!!
Congrats on finishing your first game jam! I hope you learned a ton and had fun :)
You're not kidding - this game is super hard. I couldn't get past the (first?) gravity section. The tables that chase you are just a little too fast so that a single imprecise jump or hang makes them stick to you and you can't get away. There are exceptions of course, but most times you should consider making your game easier than you think is right. As you develop and test your own game, you'll naturally become better at it and have difficulty judging difficulty. Making a game hard can be fun, but for general jam audiences, making it a little easier lets more people play, finish, and give more feedback on your game.
I really like your sprites. The tables are wonderful and the little sugar guy falling to pieces showing your health in-game feels really neat. Well done!
Keep making games, you're good at it!
Thanks! While posting the game I already knew it was to difficult but I had no time left to playtest enough and make it easier. Ofcourse after the jam you begin thinking of ideas making it easier and more fun to play. Regretting that you didn't implement them sooner. But it is what it is and I'm glad indeed that I finished it and love to hear all this feedback. I will add all these wonderfull ideas in the post jam update :).
Superb game. Honestly. Really fun mechanics and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I do recommend fixing up the mentioned bug others have come across as well regarding getting stuck on the edge. But you could really improve this into a very fun full fledged game!
Love your game so much dude! Eyes on the table? It's so cute. The spotlight created a great atmosphere. The music is the right choice! The way you show the health point is genius. Really well done!
Some small critiques:
some times it sticks at the side of the table. It is quite hard to jump.
don't know at which point the control is gonna change. May need to add some clearer signs.
the music setting is a bit weird. can't hear anything below 60.
This was more chaotic than expected!
Interestingly spin on hit and run. I kept getting stuck on the side of the tables while trying to jump on them, but otherwise, had a fun time dying over and over again!
10/10 wouldn't mind getting another "Sugar Rush". :D
Pretty fun for a while once you understand what you need to do. Good job!
Gonna be honest, I skipped it, it was a bit too long lol. When it comes to game jams, nobody really wants to have to spend a lot of time doing pregame stuff like learning a long list of rules/controls so it's best to have the gameplay be intuitive or have a tutorial that blends naturally into the game
Pretty challenging but very interesting design! The chaotic nature of being chased by tables is pretty funny. I really liked the lighting effect, was that 3d or 2d?
A bit hard but really fun game, enemies are a bit wayy to aggressive. Maybe slow them down a bit? Moving doesn’t feel all that smooth but its good enough for the game, maybe that should be something to improve later on, but the concept is great. Couldn’t actually manage to finish the level tho… Graphics were amazing, especially the lighting, SFX were a bit muffled, but that is maybe because my pc’s speakers ain’t that good…
I struggled a lot with time management so I had to make the level on a few hours. Wich left me with little/no time for playtesting. I tweaked some values but never found a good speed for my enemies with left the game with a to hard difficulty. As for the sound for me everthing sounded good but maybe I'm wrong. Thanks for the feedback!
