Storytelling is really amazing! Like how you talk with others. It's a well-done short game!

Developer

Thank you! I'm really happy with how the story came out

This game feels really polished, great job! The scene transitions, the ending credits animation, all feel very smooth. This game could definitely benefit from a continuation, it has lots of potential! I also really like how you made the fullscreen button built-in to the game, that was a nice touch!

Developer

Thanks! I'm glad you liked the game

Really well done! It's really charming. My first time fighting the hero, my friends weren't with me, but hey they came back during the second try. I'm sure they were just late haha

Developer

Oh gosh, yes, for some people they seem to run a bit late! πŸ˜… But thanks for playing the game, it means a lot to me.

I really love the story, what nice idea :) The overall game play was fun and the graphics and music were great too! You did an awesome job here and I would love to see a sequel - we can't let the hero get away with that! :D

Developer(+1)

πŸ˜‚ I'm really glad you liked the story, I had so much fun working on it! I'm thinking a sequel is necessary at this point!

Wow o.o

Your game is perfect. Like, really. For me, it has no flaws. It is definitely the best game of this jam I have played. I love the theme, the artwork, the animations, and the little story that you guys made, oh! beautiful!

Congratulations! n.n

I hope you can try out my of course not that good of a game if you got the time.

Developer(+1)

Oh my goodness, thank you so much! I am so glad you enjoyed my game that much, it means a lot to me.

Just checked out your game, your art is so so cool! Love your style!

The story and animation in the game is great!

Developer

Thank you! πŸ˜Š

Really liked the premise and the art and music were used really well. This could be easily expanded on into a roguelike or Metroidvania where you find different monsters to join your team. Great Job!

Developer

Thank you! I think the story definitely has potential to go further!

Submitted(+1)

I really liked the premise of this game, it was really unique. The game also looks amazing! That is the pixel quality I strive for in my games and will probably keep working towards for years lol. Fantastic job!

Developer

I'm really glad you liked the game! I also think the art is amazing, it was created by the very talented RunninBlood!

I loved it! I really like that sort of play on fantasy themes, and the art is really pretty ^^ I also liked the boss battle music, it went really well with the game.

I had a bit of a bug for the boss battle as in I was alone (so I got killed) but when I respawned my monster friends were with me so I still had the appropriate ending. Also I know it wasn't the point but the fact I had to respawned before I managed to win set kind of an interesting parallel with the ending (heart-wrenching ending, I might say, good job) and now I have this little headcanon that both of them will respawn again and again in some sort of purgatory manner and maybe at some point they get tired of it and become friend, right?

Anyway xD I really enjoyed playing this and the actual story was quite nice! And so were the characters dialog and interactions.

Developer(+1)

Haha, I'm sorry the first attempt you had no help from the monsters, I seriously don't understand what causes that to happen sometimes πŸ˜…. Also, I hadn't really realised that you, the player/monster, do respawn. Soo maybe it does end up being an endless battle πŸ˜‚

I like your take on the monsters point of view! overall good work! it would be cool to see this continue to be developed!

Developer

Thanks! Yeah, I really like the idea so I am thinking about taking it further πŸ˜Š

Submitted(+1)

Really cool take on the theme and i loved the story,  the attack felt a bit short and my initial version of the boss fight the other monsters didnt turn up but overall i still had fun :)

Developer(+1)

Oh dear, I haven't figured out why sometimes your fellow monsters just don't turn up to the end fight πŸ˜… But I am glad you still enjoyed it!

Submitted(+1)

Very unique premise! I think you used the assets super creatively and you really brought them to life! Loved the little story :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much! I try to do the amazing art justice πŸ˜Š

Submitted(+1)

It's a good game! You really told a lot with the story in a very short amount of time, good job!

Developer

Thank you! I'm really happy with how the story panned out in the end πŸ˜Š

Submitted(+1)

Wow, such an amazing game made within a week, simple pixel art and sound effects fit your game perfectly. Great job

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I'm honestly surprised it all came together within the week. But I'm really proud of it so it means a lot to me that you enjoyed it πŸ˜Š

Submitted(+1)

WHY MUST YOU BREAK MY HEART SO!!! omg! The first scene was already tragic enough, and I got attached to the goblin!!!!!!

I love it, the art is adorable, the story is great in this format! I really don't have much to say in terms of criticism, good job!

Developer(+1)

Awww, thank you so much! My favourite part of making this was watching everyone who play tested for me's reaction to the story πŸ˜….

But I am really glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted(+1)

Really great game! I love the art and the game is also a lot of fun! :D

Developer

Thanks so much for checking it out! I'm so glad you like it πŸ˜Š

Really nice looking pixel art! A bit short but still very fun. Impressive to see how finished and polished this game is while having been made in such a short amount of time ! I would so much like to see more of this world where monsters are the good guys and have a personnality

Developer

Thanks! Yeah, it did end up being really short, but I love the concept so much that I plan on redoing the game with more time so I can really go in-depth with everything.

Submitted(+1)

Then you can you can count on me to be there for the full release!

Very cute art style! One of the few with a story so far, quite nice!

Developer

Thanks! I've never really done a story-based game, but I had a lot of fun working on this one! πŸ˜Š

Submitted(+1)

Wow! this is an AMAZING game for just a week the art and audio are stellar! I would give some critiques but I don’t have any except it would be nice to be able to skip dialog if you are a fast reader

I would really appreciate it if you tried out my game too :D

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I still can't believe it all came together in a week...

Near the end (and after having to run through it a million times for bug testing) I realised that a skip for the dialogue would've made it much more enjoyable, but sadly by that time I had left it too late. But if I keep working on it afterwards I'll definitely add that!

He's really going to come in and do my family like that?

Love the Art and audio in this! Could have done with a health bar for the hero in the end, started to think I was suppose to let him kill me.

Developer

πŸ˜‚ Yeah now that I think about it, I probably should've added a health bar for the Hero. But thanks for playing my game!
