In what way does your game fit the theme?
Using the power of friendship, the two pilots can use the laser beam of friendship.
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, I did.

Wow !! Simple but interesting concept .... Good jOb bro .
That was great fun to play! The visual style was simplistic which fit in nicely. As some of the other commenters mentioned, the time between waves could be decreased since there's nothing to really do in that time but, other than that, this is a solid submission :D
An autofire feature and a points shop for upgrades could be a great addition, but all in all, I really liked the game!
Hey there,
Really juicy game you got here, very well polished visuals also. Really liked the laser here.
My only concern is the mouse mash for the firing, maybe adding an auto fire when holding the bullet button would be nice.
Cheers!!!

It was a sweet little game, but I don't think just because you have two things right next to each other, it satisfies the theme connection requirement. I think more weapon options, variety in enemies and different level designs would greatly enhance the game.
Nice time-waster that is helping me procrastinate doing my job lol. I agree with the other comments that it could be a bit more difficult and the time between the waves could be less. Regardless, I spent more time on it than I should have so good job on that!
Hello Jammy,
I'm so glad my game was fun enough to help you procrastinate. You're my favorite comment so far lol. I'm definitely going to update the game as everyone's feedback has been so helpful and I think it's one of my most fun games I've made.
I'm gonna try your game now!
Very good game maybe it lacks a bit of difficulty but anyway good job love it!
also if you have time could you check out my game feedbacks are welcome :)

Solid game but feels a bit lacking in terms of difficulty. Some issues I saw when playing:
- The laser can be used when it is not turned on. If you turn off the laser and then immediately try to use it again, you can deal damage without the laser being visible.
- The time between waves feels very slow at the start. Maybe have the time increase the longer you play to speed up the start?
- There is very little reason to use anything other than the large laser. A cool-down of some sort would probably help to incentivize use of the lighter attack.
Hello Baconation,
Thank you so much for rating and trying my game! I know something felt off about playtesting it and I think your suggestions would be huge improvements to my game. I really appreciate the feedback!
Really fun mechanics and gameplay. Really nice sound effects. I do agree with others, I found myself just using the beam the entire time and ignored the single fire. Maybe a cooldown or burn out effect on the beam could force players to switch between the beams.
If you have the time, please provide feedback on my game :)
It was a fun little time burner, and I can only complain about the was that the shots don't always go to your mouse, if you're moving. I also think that the beam could be a bit more powerful, as I ended up using only the basic shot, for being more reliable. Apart from that, I really liked the game! Great job!
It was a great little time waster and looked very appealing. I enjoyed it
Fun little game. U should let the user know about the right click weapon. Almost missed that super laser. Sound effects and music were good. Maybe you could add a wider variety of enemies and make it so that you don't have to spam the click button just to survive through later waves. Still the game was pretty fun.
Nice game!
Was fun! Definitely, time well spent on the game! Noticed little features like screen shaking and particles as well! You can definitely improve the game if you wish to keep working on it (more enemies, less time between waves etc) but overall, nicely done!
It wasn't until my second go around that I found the super gun. This added a good deal enjoyment and allowed me to complete the game. I really like the little the way you made the screen feel like an old CRT.
Thanks for sharing your game !
Firstly congratulations on participating in your first game jam, I hope you had a good time 😃
I also like the music, thanks for making me search about Eric Skiff, he has good tracks indeed !
Your game good but very simple and could have many more things coming in,
Some ideas :
- The story, meaning of why we play is very abstract for now. You named Bob and Billy, use them to add some context / story and explain who, why they are, why do we need to protect the central cube. Some lore :D
- I found the beam weapon much more efficient next to the laser shot, maybe boost up the laser shot damage a little. Being slow while firing beam is not enough as a drawback. Maybe also allow auto-firing while keeping leftmouse pressed.
- Add some diversity in the enemies, you can keep them as simple design like this but for example change the colour, make them faster, moving differently, etc. For now the waves goes on but doesn't bring new stuff to the gameplay
Keep it up ! 💪
Not bad. Could really use less time between waves, more enemies / difficulty, more everything. But its a good start!
