In what way does your game fit the theme?
The game has 2 players that have to work together to complete the levels. The players also gain a stat boost when they are close to each other.
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
All programming was done by my team. Most of the art assets were made by my team too. Audio was sourced from royalty free sites. We used a single modified particle system from the unreal starter content. Everything else was built by us from scratch.

It's interesting, though since I was playing solo I was just trying to figure out how to move together. Which ended up being an interesting problem since I couldn't figure out how to make p2 jump. I likely just missed it in the menu though. There wasn't really a clear goal that I was going for though, so didn't end up getting too far in. The overall visuals were interesting, though the jump animation was kinda weird, and the fact the player defaulted to looking forward no matter what was interesting. There also didn't seem to be any sort of combat in the bit I played? And no feedback when I hit the button either. So I guess a couple fine points:
Hello,
Thank you for the feedback. We definitely intend to iterate upon the game. When we released it we were far from happy with the outcome. The game is far from finished and we’ll take your feedback into account.
As for combat, we never really had any intention of it. We had planned to add a mechanic based boss battle where you would have to undertake some simple mechanics to damage the boss.
We’ll certainly be working on a tutorial too. I agree with you that the guide for controls is too easy to miss. We’ll include this in a tutorial.
We may also rebind some of the keys since most of player 2’s keys are on the number pad and therefore require num lock to be switched on.
We hope you’ll come back again when we have updated the game.
The goal is a bit too vague to understand, and the characters don't feel that great to control. It might be the animations or the key bindings not being what I'm used to but I was kind of just winging it to see how far I could get before I needed to know what I'm doing.
The level design could use some work too, I got to an area which was just a wide expanse of nothing but the occasional flower and I turned right off.
Sorry to be so negative, I understand just how early in development things are!
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback.
We certainly aren’t happy with the game at the moment either. We plan to update the game quite a bit. We feel it’s far from finished.
We plan to add a proper tutorial to give players an idea of how the controls work and what the objective is.
We’ll certainly look into the level design too. We are fairly new to this, it’s only our second jam and most of us are first year game dev students.
We hope we haven’t put you off and that you’ll come back after the game is updated.
Really fun game. I liked the art style the most. A few bugs but its expected for a game made in a week. Can't wait to see more from you guys!
Please try my game if you got the time!
Thank you for your feedback! We weren't completely satisfied with the outcome but we will definitely be updating/fixing the game in the future!
