Oh! The light to see hidden things + rewinding in time make a very interesting combo! (Mention to the art, very simple, but fits well with this style). Bravo!
I think the Idea is great but the execution was rough, I couldn't get past the second level because the enemy off screen would snipe me every time before I could get him. so maybe another mechanic so an enemy turns so it wont always imminently shoot you or something would help I don't know for sure. I think you guys have some great potential here still!
Nice idea, the lighting is definitely what makes this game stand out, and all the other sprites look great as well. It did freeze on level 2 for me, but it only happened the first time. Game design wise, I felt a little too reliant on the rewind mechanic, and unless you have extremely fast reflexes, there's no way that you're going to kill the enemies on sight. I think it would be very helpful to the player if there was a small shadow of a person behind walls, but you couldn't tell if it was a hostage or enemy, because you could create a plan in your head of where everyone is located. Nice work!
Thanks for feedback and detailed review on a game. Glad you gave it a second try after freeze. The game supposed to be heavily reliant on rewind to fit the theme, I actually tried so you can't complete it without using it - the reason I made mines and random enemy placement. The idea with shadows is good, but I think if I could make sounds for this game in time it already would be easier to spot the enemies)
I like the idea of the light and shadow, the game is great but I find that you can move while the start UI is there and the counter of hostages was negative, I believe that the most part of the bugs, are around the current game state and how you keep track of it.
Great work! Keep doing games!
Hi, i've played and rated your game. Its really fun to play, but the game freezes in level 2. But nevertheless, well done!
Nice game. It was tricky to get that guy in the corner on Lvl 1 but after just going for it, I finally got him. I did end up with a bug where the screen just froze after I died on Lvl2 though. Overall I enjoyed the game
There seem to be some state-based bugs in the game, I sometimes ended up in empty level with noone left and then it would randomly say I died. Most of the times I would die just because I was looking for enemy in wrong corner :)
It has some nice atmosphere to it - keep up the good job!
Took forever to get the dude hiding in the corner in level 1 - fun game
It would be cool if there was sound, and the controls felt kind of unresponsive. I also found some bugs but thats totally fine and normal, just wanna tell you if u think about making an update, there was a bug where the game displayed you win and you lose at the same time.
Aside from that I can see that you put a lot of work into the level design and the graphics. The idea itself is also great, maybe just needs a tiny bit more polish!! Awesome, keep it up!
Yah, its jittery probably becouse i made camera to focus not on player, but slighty with offset to where he was facing, to allow you to see ferther, probably not a greay idea) And aiming is actualy not precise, you are right, player aims to the mouse position, but the gun is slightly to the side of your hand. Respect for you for paying that much attention)
