I know the jam even states:

If you are new to Godot, we suggest using version 3.5.2 for a stable experience.

but was wondering if anyone has recent experience with using the latest Godot 4.1 with HTML5 export - is this better than the early Godot4 struggles? Or is it better to still use Godot 3.5 for jams with HTML5 export?
Thanks!

This was really fun, even though I got completely annihilated in the least expected moments :)

Also... where is your Discord Luke... I though we were friends? ;)

The famous YT algorithm does something good every now and then - it recommended me your video, good stuff kind sir! Can't wait for an episode to include "heatwave warnings" we've been recently receiving in south east QLD (in the "the world is collapsing" section of your videos) ;)

Gave it a go on a Mac - can confirm it worked just fine.

Must have been beginner's luck, as all the games afterwards I couldn't score any higher than 5 :)

Just now though, I found something that may be considered a bug (?) - you can hide inside a square and when the beams go outwards you will be safe. Not sure if that was intended.

potentially a "timeout bar" at the very bottom of the screen would be handy to indicate on when would the beams shoot out automatically. It would start with lets say a fully loaded white bar across the entire screen, and then it would ge shorter from one of the ends and essentially disappear when the time is off. Just an idea, nothing major really :)

Scored 13 on my first go :)
It's a very nice game and has a feeling of a solid polish.

Very minor feedback:

  • I would love to know my current score while playing
  • the sound of breaking glass was... too quiet? At least I sort of missed it while playing, my brain only recorded the sounds of beams shooting out and it wasn't until I saw the glass has broken when I realised my "brilliant" strategy wasn't so good after all :)

Anyone read the book? :)

Simple yet beautiful! Love it!

Holy crap that was soooo good!

made it all the way through, well polished game! good job!

got to the moon on the first playthrough baby!
took me 29 launches but was definitely worth it! :)

3x 5 star game for me.
Got hooked straight away, cute little puzzle game

Oh man this got me hooked!
I like how it later on turns into a solid bullet-hell :)
Good job!

Love the BG music, fun game to play. At one of the levels one of the characters must have bugged out as I couldn't see it but I could move it - which ended up it dying and loosing all the progress :)

Superb little game, love it! The sound effects are just too good haha :)
Long time subscriber here and also this time decided to finally finish a game too :)

Thanks for giving it a go, I'm glad you liked it! The theme was narrowing down possibilities quite heavily, but what matters the most is getting something done in the end :)

thanks for reviewing it! :)

dzieki! :)

just had some pretty close game, but in the end managed to completely cut off the AI from getting onto my half of the field :) even though I was sure I lost it already ;)

Oh man the mouse sensitivity was killing me :)
I like the style of the game, has a nice vibe, good job! :)
Based on your surname: wydaje mi sie ze spodoba Ci sie moja gra ;)

Really like the rewind-based mechanics, cool idea, good job!

Weird jump mechanic but I guess it was done this way on purpose. I like the oldschool art style. Good job!

Very pleasing game, the movement felt a bit weird sometimes but overall a nice take on the theme! :)

5 starts for Will. What else can I say! ;)

Great voiceover :D
I would love if there was a little bit more friction between the objects though, everything felt a little bit too "slippery". Well done though!

Beautiful audio, interesting art style, especially the drawings :D
Good job! Great submission!

I like the art style! The game itself was really nice too, good job!

Stunning visuals, I really really enjoyed it, thank you for this experience!

Omg such a great game...
Great visuals, great casual background music, great visual and sound effects, solid amount of polish, love it!
The only tiny feedback I can five is that the jumping action sometimes get blocked when colliding with a wall, but it was very minor thing. Really awesome game! Would love to hear your feedback on my submission too as I truly have lots to learn from you, thans!

Interesting art style, cool game idea, good job overall!

Thanks for taking your time to play it, I'm glad you managed to win :)
I will surely have to introduce some sore of tutorial, or animated rules explanation since the concept doesn't seem to be as popular as I thought it would be ;)

(1 edit)

I wish I read this before I spawned another copy of me ;)

The jumping felt laggy/unresponsive sometimes, may be webgl fault.
Interesting little game, very punishing level design, I like it :D

Interesting approach on the theme, I love the visuals, the audio and the rope/line behaviour, great job!

Interesting game, mechanics felt a bit weird sometimes but you definitely did a good job. I like how lightweight the game is too, thanks for your submission!

Oh wow, surely some original idea here, good job :D
I was confused seeing the thumbnail at first but the game literally requires you to do so... many times! ;) nice one!

I love the atmosphere created by the music! There are some minor bugs here and there, some textures glitches, skipping through dialogs still leave the dialog sound effects going, but overall it looks like you put lots of time and effort to it, good job! Would appreciate if you could give my game a go too, thanks!

Thanks! :)

Glad you liked it :)

Thank you for your feedback, appreciate it!
