I liked the concept of where you are in a hostage situation and that you are tied to a bomb. It was short but you expanded more out of no more of a little concept. You did well and I did not expect different gameplay to affect you differently but still feel the same as other concepts. good job.

My only criticism is the beeping sound that plays for the entire game and how you move with your mouse when you are just dragging an item.

Anyways Good job.

(sad that I saw this game a day after voting.)

Developer

Just to let you know, you can right click the stuff to drag it around. Thanks for playing.

It does not really matter anymore but thanks I guess XD

It's a cool idea and very well executed. A bit tense yet fun. Nothing really to criticize about that. Good Job!

Developer

Really appreciated.

Incredible game and presentation! Such a clever idea to be tied to that chair! You had the time to write this whole story and the point and click system was flawless my only feedback is about the bomb tick volume who is a bit loud to me but at the same time it adds all the tense that this game needs. Great entry, take my 555!

Developer

I'll gladly take it!

Nice and tense game. Even I know the bomb buzzing was scripted and I have no time limit it added even more tension to the game. I haven't seen a game with such a rich story in this game jam so far. I've read through the whole book and I appreciate every detail in it. Also I loved the claustrophobic controls/movement.

Really nice game, from start to finish.

Edit: everything is for me 5/5

Really, really appreciate the rating. Nice work figuring out the scripted events! Really glad you enjoyed the game!

Very fun polished game! The music really accentuated the feeling of doom and the ticking bomb in the background was perfect. The hard breathing also added some feeling the the atmosphere in this game. The gameplay got the job done and the art was amazing! It is amazing that you managed a game of this quality and polish in just 48 hours! If you could stop by and check out our game and leave some feedback that would be much appreciated. Good luck in your future jams and game dev journeys!

The game made me worry)). Original puzzle concept.

Developer

Thank you!

I've really liked that one, it's original and fun too :) Congratulations!

Developer

Glad you liked it!

Wow. I want to say that the control is difficult and the sound is annoying, but they both perfectly convey the struggle and urgency of being strapped in a chair to a bomb, so can't really fault that. Only nitpick would be that the bomb was a bit guesswork-y, though that too adds to the panic trying to piece things together. Overall very original and well-executed :D

Developer

Nice work guessing, but if you combine the uncharged ion battery with the battery charger and resupply the gun with it, it will break open the safe and reveal a book explaining not only how to make a bomb, but it has a large quantity of lore as well. Unfortunately, I was not very clear that you had to put the charged one back in, so that's on me. Still though, you guessed, and you lived. Congrats!

Oooh OK I should try exploring more then :)

Excellent game! the bomb's beeping made me feel a sense of urgency and the combining of objects was super smooth! all around a very well polished game and a clear front runner for the jam! Great work!

The atmosphere was perfect, and it really sucked me in! Wonderful job!

Really glad you felt the game feel!

Nice game! I won't say much because there's literally already 90 comments already but my main critique is the bomb beeping hurt my ears, you could either add a toggle for it or use a sound less high pitched

Developer(+1)

Glad you read the comments to look for recurring criticisms.

Man Go Boom! (Really nice job with this one, by far one of the most innovative games here!)

Developer(+1)

Hopefully the man didn't go boom!

Submitted (1 edit)

No, he didn't ;)

Cool game! I really liked it! My only issue is that the beeping sound is a bit annoying, but that's a small complaint. Nice job!

Developer

Thanks! I'll try to fix that next time.

This game is absolutely amazing. Over the top quality pixel art, and amazing interaction system. Honestly couldn't believe this was only 48 hours of work. Only thing I think was weird was the slow movement (which makes sense, but isn't very fun for the player)

Developer

Movement is like that for the theme!

Submitted(+1)

This is nice

Developer

Appreciated.

man i thought for sure I was gonna die, but I figured it out! Clever take on the theme! it was good you had the name of the items appear when they were scrolled over because it was hard to tell what things were after you picked them up. I also think using the right mouse button is a little unnecessary and everything could be played with one mouse button. Overall, good job!

I'd appreciate if you could play/rate my game as well! :)

Developer

I have the right mouse button because if you just use the left one, you move around. I'll probably make it use A D for the movement if I ever update it.
