In what way does your game fit the theme?
You have to rewind your turrets when the power down.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Everything I used was made myself, besides the unity engine.

Very cool idea and i really enjoyed playing it, only thing i missed was some kind of feedback to know how much time left a turret had before it went down :)

This game was really fun to play and I really loved your main menu (great idea). I wish there was some variety between the levels and maybe a bar to show you how much charge your turrets had remaining. Other than that you've done really well! Keep up the good work :D

I loved it! Could play for hours, I only wish it introduced more mechanics like several paths or different enemies, but still great game! Definitely a good rating :)

Developer

Thanks it means a lot! I wanted to try and add more things, but obviously was short on time. I'll try and add more things in a future update.

I like this game! A wind up bar would be nice to see though. Great work overall!  I'd really appreciate if you could also rate my game!

Nice, we both had the exact same idea XD

Interesting twist on the tower defense genre, however, I wish there was more than one track the enemies walk on. Could use some tweaking on visuals but a very solid foundation to build on!

Great job overall!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I was actually contemplating having multiple paths, I just wasn't sure how to program it and tried to focus on the stuff I had an idea of how to do it. And yes, the visuals need some improvement. Being my first 3d game and game jam, I really wanted to make all my own models... but they weren't the best (especially the character). I will definitely be watching videos and improving it later on.

Thanks for the feedback! The idea with the turrets having a bar would've been a really good addition, I was thinking about adding one, but just ran out of time (I had an exam the last day of the jam). I now realize how important that addition is and will try and add one in the update!

Great game! Nice twist that you have done to a typical tower defense game - really makes me as a player to think about not placing too many turrets & to decide between walking to a place to gather coin or to focus on rewinding a turret. Some other feedback:

  • Graphics are really basic for me. All the enemies have the same model but just had different eye colors to indicate their strength
  • It gets pretty repetitive. From the several levels that I've played, there are only 3 turrets & almost the same type of enemies. Every level had the same layout too

Overall, still good job on the fun game, thanks for letting me play it!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I agree with your points. It's my second game and first 3d game, so I agree with the fact that the graphics were basic. I actually made a bunch of robot  models, but they all looked bad, so I kept the one model I liked. Definitely gonna watch some videos on modelling in the future.

Well, I gave it like a LOOOT of stars here.
Good take on the tower defense theme, everything made from scratch, fun and easy to learn, innovative...
It lacks a bit of visual (like when a turret is going to need rewinding, ennemy's life...) and I was SO frustrated that turrets could get out of battery without being used !!
Even so, a looot of stars for you ! Good job !

Developer

I really appreciate it! There are quite a few things that I think that could be improved, but I'm glad you liked it!

I liked that it didnt go regular time rewinding thing as most games. Pretty fun game. It could use some more indicators about whats going on (like turret is about to brake)

An interesting game! I quite enjoyed this one, I like how you have to prioritise sticking with your turret until the next wave to rewind it in time instead of sitting back and just collecting coins! Well done!

Interesting approach on the theme! It was funny to see how the bullets turn their direction to follow the target :D Overall good work!

Game feels sooo good to play. I like the menu and idea you need to rewind tour turrets. But graphics are not the best but they are not horrible. Also i needed to restart game because enemys stops spawning. I think you need to improve level select because everything is now unlocked

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. It was my first 3d game so I didnt really know how to make good 3d models. And I didn't make the levels unlockable, you can just play any of them cause I didn't know how to make them unlockable lol.  I'll also look into that bug about the enemies.

Submitted(+1)

Yeah i dont like making 3d models too but you could add some post processing. And you can easily find tutorial about level selection.

Developer

Thanks! Ill try to do that next time

Played and rated. Not too bad for your second game! Good job.

Developer

Thanks man! Appreciate it!

Hey, nice game! I like how you integrated the theme into the game.

I think I ran into a weird glitch where the enemies stopped spawning once I went back to the menu, but it was fun otherwise!

Developer

Thanks! Ill check out the bug

Really nice idea! I'm usually not that interested in tower defense games, but this one's interesting since you have to simultaneously rewind turrets and collect coins. Well done!

Some suggestions are to maybe increase the player's movement speed since it seems a bit slow. Speeding it up would add a better feel of control. Also, perhaps adding some trees or other objects to spice up the area?

Developer

Thanks for thee feedback! Everything you listed are things I'd definitely change if I am to update it

Good game, and a nice spin on the tower defence genre

The menu times could be improved, but other than that, everything's good

Good entry

I really enjoyed how you incorporated the theme into the game, I think it turned out nicely.

Feedback; Would like to see a bit more polish on the UI in terms of it fitting into the game more. I think the elements are good just need to be a bit more fitting into the art style of the game. I found the turrets went on cooldown/rewind a lot faster than I would of expected too so it made it hard to navigate around after having more than 6-7 placed without just maintaining a specific group of them instead.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback. I definitely agree with your point on improving the UI. And I had some trouble finding a good balance between the cooldown of the turrets. I tried to make it so you had to keep engaged unlike other tower defense games, but if I were to update it, I would definitely increase the timing on it. Thanks for playing!
