love the celeste assets

Great job! It was super polished and enjoyable! Clicking on things was a very intuitive form of control, and you had some very well designed puzzles. Only suggestion I really have is slightly more friction. Again, great work!

Neat puzzles and wonderful graphics. I also loved how you used the UI  with the cassette , great job.

Wow this is a really clever little puzzle game! There's definitely a lot of room for expansion in terms of items that can be rewound like maybe a spinning wall that you have to rewind to allow the player to pass through. Really great job!

Wow, one of the best games I've played so far. Assets and code from scratch? Awesome work! The puzzles were really challenging and made a lot of fun.

I enjoyed the background music, the only thing which was a bit exaggerated was the sound of the jump (a bit to intensive/too loud?). If you use a such intense jump sound I would change the pitch dependent of a random value between two constants, so it sounds every time different and is not that outstanding.

Love the look of the game. Good job!

I really, really loved this game. From art, level design and music! Gave you such a good rating for it! Please can you check ours out :) Really surprised you only have 36 ratings??

Really good game! I couldn't get past the steel block level with four doors unfortunately, but it was a good time! Maybe make the jump audio a bit lower or quieter? Otherwise, really great work!!!

Developer

Thanks for playing! A lot of people got stuck on that level so its a bit too hard.

Wow! Such a complete game for a game jam! Loved the pixel art and environment too! Maybe tweak the platforming values a bit because i personally felt the character was a tad too fast. Overall amazing effort!

Developer

Thank you! I'll make sure to done down the speed of the player a bit!

This game is super legit! it's very well polished and all the mechanics work smoothly :D. Huge probs for making it in time. Also the visuals really stand out. An almost perfect score :D. Hope you try my game too https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-4/rate/722968

Developer

Thanks a lot! Ill definitely try your game too!

This is a great game and very well polished! I thought the puzzles were just the right amount of difficulty and I appreciate the different elements like the blue boxes that you can't rewind. My only complaint is that the cassette tape does not really match the rest of the game art. But, overall great job!

Developer

Thank you!

Well it seems you made a game just like mine HAHAHA, darn it! It's great, well, actually I don't need to say to much about. If it was bad, then I wouldn't do the same thing. Anyway, I rated. Check it out mine and you will see, it's almost the same thing ahahah!

Developer

I guess we did hahaha. Well with almost 2000 entries some are bound to have the same ideas ;). Thanks for playing!

Best game I encountered here SO far. It respects the theme, it has a good degree of level design, I learned every basic stuff in the first minute of the game. There's variety which is always good. The graphics are great, audio is OK ( the exception being the jump which is a little bit annoying ), and is pretty fun. Good job!

I forgot to mention the great rewind effect, I loved it, with it going black and white and the sound dampening.

Developer

Thank you! Audio was definitely one of the things added last minute so i agree.

The rewind mechanic is fantastic. The addition of the metal boxes and the platforms really adds heaps to the lvl design while still feeling really intuitive. I just wish that there was a way to playback what you recorded.

Developer

Thanks!

I love how intuitive this game is! The levels feel really thoughtful in a way I haven't seen from too many puzzle platformers on here. Also, I adore the swinging lights, I made that own game to hit them lol. The only thing I wish is that the rewind just keeps looping, it would help me think through puzzles more but also a pretty subjective ask.

Developer

Thanks a lot!

Awesome graphics and a really cool implementation of the theme. Well done!

The selective rewinding is a fun take on the theme, though there seemed to be a couple of physics problems regarding collisions between objects during the rewinding. Pretty cool game overall!

Developer

Thanks! Yes i had major issues with the physics. Didnt have time to fix it but will definitly spend more time on it in a post jam version!
