This was actually alot of fun. Controls were tight and felt good to shoot them crap out of baddies.

Great work! :D

Developer

Glad you had fun with it! Thanks!

Really interesting game with so many details! For example, when you fall in a hole you drop your gun and so on. It's a bit hard, but I like it. Nice work :)

Developer

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!

Great job

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yeah, I realize the graphics are not the most appealing part of the game, I'll keep working to improve on making art assets!

Very fun game ! did you use pathfinding for the enemies?

i could have played it more if i was able play with the arrow keys ! you know not all people have Qwerty keyboard. but i got used to it a bit :) good job

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Yes, it's kind of a pathfinding, though it's a pre-built function in the engine I used (GameMaker).

Oh sorry about that, I honestly didn't know there were other types of keyboard. Definitely will have more control options next time. Thanks for letting me know!

Great game!
A small detail though- it would have been nice if the controlls were shown in-game.

Developer

Thank you! I will add them next time!

Well done, everything was smooth and fun to play, despite the fact that game was sooo small, I enjoyed it a lot!

Developer

Thank you! Pressing Alt + Enter makes the screen bigger, but I failed to put that information in-game and other scalling options. Glad to know you enjoyed it!

nice game play mechanics l really like playing it

Developer

Thank you! I just played yours and enjoyed it as well!

Very nice first game ! The difficulty curve was well adjusted unlike many other game jam games.

If I had to improve it, i'll follow what undercomment said, and also add the possibility to scale the window because on my 1440p monitor it was really small, imagine on a 4k !

Developer

Thank you! I will definitely keep in mind having clear options for scalling next time!

A very fun game, reminded me of Nuclear Throne. I guess you've also seen their talk about game juice. I really enjoyed your game, it is very well done!

Still, here are some suggestions:

  • Let the player switch guns using the mouse wheel. I spent some time trying to figure out how to use the rockets and until then didn't even know that I had multiple weapons
  • Make the weabons smaller. They are pretty far away from the player for such little spaces. Also this leads to me being able to shoot through walls when I stand next to them

I had a blast playing, good job!

Developer(+1)

Yes, I have seen their talk before! Nuclear Throne was one of the inspirations for this game.

Thank you for the feedback, having the option to switch guns using the mouse wheel is a good idea, didn't think of that.

Gotcha on the weapon size! I realized a little too late you could in certain situations shoot through the wall, but didn't have the time to adjust it. Though in the end I thought it was fun to use it and even and made a level just to acknowledge it with the sniper rifle, I would like to think it's more of a feature than a bug haha.

Thank you!

Nice game, it's very well done. The controls are very intuitive, and shoots feels very satisfying. Good job =)

Developer

Thank you very much!

Oh very top down shooter design.  The controls where good and it was fun using different weapons~  Great sprite art too!  Hope you learned a lot making this and keep improving! Great job submitting a cool game to the jam!

Developer(+1)

Thank you, man! I plan on participating on a lot of other jams, it was really fun making this game. Thanks for that topic you made at the start of the jam too, nice tips for participating in a jam.

it's a fun little (literally) yet challenging game

i'd love if the game screen size was bigger, overall movement and shooting feels good gj mate :)

Developer

Thank you man! Next time I will put an option to scale the screen at the start of the game, I was so used to the small screen it slipped my mind. For now it's possible to use Alt + Enter to resize it

The pixel art is clear to read which is important since the game window was surprisingly small. The game was really fun to play and I like the look on how the bullets came out of the gun. I could see this being a bigger game. I had lots of fun playing this thank you.

Developer

Thank you, I appreciate the feedback!

Left mouse to aim and shoot

EDIT -  Use Alt + Enter to go fullscreen! It might distort the pixels a little
