Very cool game. Gameplay kinda look like Dicewood and it fits here very well

Super fun game! I love this type of game and had A LOT of fun playing through it! Will most likely be coming back to this one :)

Interesting concept, pretty good take on the theme. I did a few runs, but couldn't find a way to reach 100 with that final card, kept getting screwed by the +1 thirst card each year. My feedback is that dragging the dices constantly got pretty annoying, clicking would have been way better. Maybe I'm just stupid, but I couldn't understand what was the purpose of the cracked dice and what the loyal servant card did.

Developer

Oh the cracked dice are basically 1 turn dice if you don't use them that turn they'll be gone. The loyal servant card makes those cracked dice permanent so you don't have to worry about them going away. You basically have to prep with those two and have a good arsenal of dice before ascending to have a chance against the thirst XD

Submitted

Wait, you can save the red dice?

Developer

Not exactly save them but increase their numbers quite a bit if you keep making cracked dice permanent. I got it to around 25 dice while testing but you can keep going.

I appreciated this so much. My only gripe was it got repetitive in throwing dice into Thrall.
The game design itself was spot on, and felt pretty fair, at least until the end, right before ascension, it didn't spawn any dice. Did I miss something?

This was a great game. Good job

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed it! There seems to be a bug where the dice doesn't spawn I'll be looking into it. Besides that I plan to add some qol features like the throwing remaining dice into the thrall card automatically and plan on overhauling some things if I work on this in the future.

I originally didn't have high hopes judging from the screenshots, but you proved me wrong! This is a very good concept for a game! This also reminds me of Dicy Dungeons, but I guess any dice game would also do. I got hooked for quite a bit and think if this got expanded a bit with some better art, this would really shine. Though without the artwork, just the text and dice alone already tell a story, and I can picture that vividly without needing any visuals at all. Well done!

I do have a minor criticism that the game is currently a bit too easy and straightforward. It's probably due to the lack of different actions and consequences (or maybe random events, side stories, vampire hunters), for me it's basically stacking up loads and loads of minions and finishing vampirism in a single turn. Ah, also I needed to reset when the game decided not to give me any dice at the turn for the 100 card, which also forced me into that playstyle. A shame on the missing end screen too.

Anyway, this is way beyond my expectations, and certainly is a good game! Well done!

Developer

Dicey dungeon was the main inspiration for the game along with cultist simulator. I'll look into the bugs you mentioned. So glad you enjoyed the game!

I adore the concept and the dice mechanism is something I've not seen very often. The gameplay loop is very clear and the strategy is very obvious. I personally believe it would be more interesting if you could later expand this game and give it branching paths or other random/sub-quest like event cards. Overall it's pretty enjoyable.

Developer

The plan was to make different paths you can take to become immortal with different colored dice and other stuff. I'll into updating it once the jam is over.

Really great concept ! I really loved the flavor put on gameplay mechanics. The thirst mechanic is really well implemented, and the game is really great ! Congratulations!

Nice idea, but weird at the same time.

I played this game for much longer than I intended. I actually kinda "figured out" the gameplay on my first attempt but didn't realize the X2 card is one time use only so I failed that one (maybe you could make it clearer which card is one time use and which one is permanent). But on my second attempt it has actually become very easy and I beat the game without too much challenge at all afterwards.

Still, this was a very enjoyable game, even if the assets used is very simplistic.

Thank you for playing! I'm glad you liked it. I agree the end definitely needed a bit more polish. Hoping to do that after the jam.

Clear concept, but great execution from the mechanics to the presentation

This might be one of my favorite takes on the theme
Loved the variety of card and dice effects and how they combo-ed together

I didn't realize the double score card was a one-time use, so a clearer indicator there would be nice, but this was seriously addicting, like I was becoming a vampire myself lol

Cool to see a fellow Wizard Card Game end up with something so different from ours!

Great concept and idea, and bonus points for vampires! And i like the red for the UI, it's a nice shade that doesn't hurt the eye.

I had a few bugs but they didn't really deduct from the experience.

Developer

Unfortunately was too late to upload the build with bug fixes. Glad you enjoyed it!

Damn i loved this so much. I'm a huge cultist simulator fan so this really hits the spot for me. I didn't even think that a game like this could fit this theme so well. Congrats! amazing game.

Developer(+1)

That was the primary inspiration for the game along side dicey dungeon. Glad you had fun!

Submitted(+1)

I enjoy the concept, though I feel like I got stuck needing to roll 5 6s at some point.

Very delightful and different game than all others!
I managed to play until I had like 8 Thirst cards, and then no more dice came, idk if I did something wrong or it was a bug. Anyways, it was so nice to play, and the art and music is wonderful. Good job!

Excelent game, I played until I became immortal, very addicting game, good job in here!

Gambling 10/10 :DD

Submitted(+1)

Very interesting game! Figuring out the perfect strategy to win was really fun!

Keep up the good work!

I got jumpscard when the 2 thirst cards got added because I had already used all my dice so that was pretty funny. My only complaint is when my dice pool got pretty big it would take awhile to sacrifice them all. It would be nice if there was a button  to turn them all into thralls.

Developer

Yeah have some qol features in mind that I want to implement. Glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted(+1)

The idea and its execution were very well thought out. Very entertaining, congratulations on your work!

The idea is good, the atmosphere is good, but game is TOO random

Developer

Hi, there are a few ways to cheat the randomness which is intended and needed. I hope you give it another go. 😀
