How does the game fit the theme?
Everyone knows cats have nine lives, but not only that... They're practically invincible!
This short story follows Mimi, our cat hero with all nine lives intact. Why? You may ask. Because for a cat living in a perfectly safe and guarded house, nothing can go wrong. But what if she's tired of her perfect world? What if she's dying to go to kitty heaven, a paradise for cats where excitement knows no bounds?
Help her find a way to spend all nine lives... Nine lives too many.

The game's soundtrack is very good, keep me hooked for sometime. Although, I have not found all 9 ways to die. Apart from that, it's a very cozy and relaxing game, or I would say it is "trouble making but in a calm way".

IMHO, you can enhance the gameplay by improving the jump mechanics, taking inspiration from Celeste. Currently, there are moments when it feels like, 'I pressed jump on the platform, but nothing happened.' If you allow the jump input to register for a short period after leaving the platform, it creates that 'last-moment jump' feeling while eliminating the sensation of unresponsive controls. In my opinion, this would improve the gaming experience without overly simplifying the challenge.

Actually it was my partner who did that animation, (btw, this is the first time he has ever drawn in pixelart!) but I would reccomend checking out Adam C Younis and Penusbmic in Youtube for drawing tips, if you don't already know them. Those are the main sources we have used for learning pixelart.
And I agree about coyote time, it is definitely something I would have added if I had more time.

This is the most unhinged idea I've ever seen. Great game! I just couldn't figure out my last life, and I thought the toilet one was very obscure personally. But honestly really great job, I was excited to find new ways to kill the cat, this is probably one of my favs of the jam so far.

👉Hey, I played your game, and it feels really good to play. The animations are very clear, and the tasks are fun. I just couldn’t find one thing. The menu is cute, and all the sprites you created are incredible. The colors are so nice, great pixel art ! I also think it’s amazing how the bowling ball bounces off the tennis ball. I wasn’t sure if it was intentional, but it was a nice touch. Very cool. And I love the grandmother's face.
👉One thing I noticed : when you drop the bowling ball, it creates a hole, but the sprite you use to create the hole is placed on top of all the other sprites, which feels a bit strange. But that’s all, no bugs or lag.

Really fun game. Took me a short bit to realize that you want to take away your own lives. The last life was really difficult to find!! If anyone is stuck, just reply to my post and I'll reply on where to find it. Hint, the green tennis ball isn't related!

Everything about this was super cute and enjoyable. I think my only gripe would be there's no sound effects, but that can also be filed under artistic license. I got stuck on the last life which I presume is involved with the small green ball. I'd love to know what to do with that.
