How does the game fit the theme?
Nothing can go wrong for you. Nothing could have gone wrong for him. But for nothing to have gone wrong at all, everything must go wrong for both of you.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I used the Brackeys Platformer Asset Bundle for assets, sound effects, and music from One Man Symphony. Full credits are given on the game page.

I'll try not to bore you to death by repeating what everyone has already said 😅
I will say this, though: I did think the concept was super interesting. The way you made that "Thoughts" window was very intriguing and I felt like this could have some really deep gameplay! The goal WAS clear - kill them both at the same time - but I was unsure how to achieve it, especially with the gameplay elements that took me a while to figure out - such as not being able to move the broken block with the blue knight, being able to fix the platform with the blue knight and break it with the pink, etc.
Regardless - I was determined to understand everything and beat it - so I kept trying for a while, and... I did??

Thing is - I'm REALLY not sure how I managed to do it 😅 All I did was:
1. Fix the platform with the blue knight
2. Go up the platform with the pink knight
3. As the pink knight, drop the broken block on the platform (which sometimes fixes it)
4. Jump off with the pink knight
and... win? And it consistently works - I did it 4 times consecutively, haha. One time it didn't work instantly, but then DID work once I entered the pink tunnel with the blue knight?
A little confused but uh hey at least I escaped haha.
Anyways - I think the mechanic is solid, there's clearly a good idea here - it's just the gameplay elements that confused me a little bit with the different interactions and their visual language. I hope you do continue to work on it and improve it - and I wish you the best in your game development journey! :D
Not many games you see here with a mechanic like this, felt kinda clueless but as others said, a quick tutorial would be greatly appreciated. Insane work for your first jam
Wow! I am impressed, because I have no idea how to code something like this. For the first game this has abig potential. I was struggling a bit to figure out the main mission for the game. I loved how the platform changed. And watching the other character to repeat it's moves was interesting. If you have some time, make some more levels, this is great!
It was certainly an interesting mechanic! A very good game for your first jam, if the assets were made originally to fit the gameplay i think itd look wonderful! Great job!
The mechanics looks solid but like many others I have no idea what I am supposed to be doing. I like how you reverse the character movement and see lots of potential in this concept. Good job for your first game jam, keep it up!
The mechanic was really unique, and it took me a while to understand what was happening. I couldn't finish the game, as I did not know what I should be doing. That being said, I see great potential in this becoming something great.
The game does feel a bit overwhelming, but you get full points for innovation, this game certainly has an appeal I haven't seen in other submissions yet, it's very creative and I think if this idea is polished it could be an excellent title to sell as a standalone!
Great job!
Really cool idea! I like the mechanic of the other player moving back in time when you switch to the other character. It has a cool effect when it happens too which I like a lot. I don't think I really understood the goal of the game, I managed to get all the coins, but wasn't sure what to do after that. Had fun playing tho, great work!
I like the idea, it still needs some work on the game design because players might feel overwhelmed when playing for the first time since the core mechanic is not exactly intuitive, maybe add a more detailed tutorial? Nice project for a week of development anyways, good job :)
really cool idea, I love the idea of a puzzle where I have to figure out the timing of two different characters in two different timelines at the same time, i have not found the solution yet but still really interesting!
super creative concept - i had a bit of a skill issue though lol. i can absolutely see the potential for this kind of game
I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to be doing. I got all the coins and threw myself at everything for little to nothing to happen.
Cool mechanic, really great for being your first game actually. Well done!
What a trippy concept! AMAZING job for your first game, this was not boring or unoriginal. You really got experimental with it and brought a vibe all its own. I'm still wracking my brain on how to beat it haha. I'd find a way to have a tutorial level or easier first mission where players can more easily grasp the puzzle and mechanics. I think with the right difficulty curve this could really shine as a full game
Very interesting concept. Need a clearer goal/direction for player to know what they need to do.
Anyway, kudos for your first game!
Hello, the game just completely broke my brain, but somehow, I managed to succeed! No idea how, but I did it. Honestly, well done!
This was fun, but I will admit that I was struggling to solve the puzzle at first. I haven't really played too many games that deal with time in this way. It was really refreshing. Plus I like the aesthetic of the game as a whole. Very clean and polished. Great job. Hopefully it is developed further.
