Haha, interesting game! Really difficult, though. In the beginning, the shield is hard to use effectively. The visuals and audio are great on their own, but I feel a small but noticeable mismatch when playing. Still, I think this game was underrated in this jam. Keep up the good work! :)

congrats on a submission, especially since it was made right after pirate jam.
I think, having a camera over the shoulder instead of right behind the mecha would be better - it's hard to see what's in front of you rn.

Feels great! it was a little unclear what enemy was attacking from where but shooting back at them was a blast! Very well done!

Really like the simple visuals of this game. Also the jet propulsion feels great!

Wow this is a cool looking game :O, and well done getting the loop running. You kicked ass as a single dev working on this. I had few issues, but still managed to have a lot of fun with this, so please keep working on this. I think more enemy variety (they all look unique but don't do much differently), stopping the mech from covering the crosshairs so you can see where you're shooting, and giving the primary weapon some love would be amazing. Perhaps a simple upgrade system that forces the player to explore would be nice.

Also nice job with the sfx and music, you really made something dope ^_^

Cool game, enjoyable gameplay loop. I managed to get past the first boss worm with the ult, but was overwhelmed shortly after.

My biggest problem was that the machinegun didn’t seem very useful, seeing as the railgun recharges by itself, has nearly instantaneous travel time and takes a single shot to shoot most enemies down.

Really cool game! Flying around in a mech was really fun and with some improvements to visuals and stuff, you could turn it in to a completed game. Great job for one person!

I really liked the game, especially the graphics and the weapons. I think you should keep working on it because it can become a big and fun project. Congrats because it doesn't look like an easy game to make in such a short amount of time <3

Played and rated! i love me a mech game, good effort on this one, it was a little basic but really a good effort for a single week! the mech felt a little to fast and floaty, didn't really have any 'weight' which is important in a mech game, and the walking animation was much slower than the actual movement, like it was ice skating or something, but still, like i said, good effort :)

Pretty cool! I wish I could see directly in front of my character but that wasn't TOO difficult to deal with.

The mech felt awesome to control—fast, smooth, and just really fun. But is there actually an ending? I made it to Wave 34

Developer(+1)

Woah! That's incredible! Thank you for sharing that screenshot. There is no ending though, just endless waves because the mecha is supposed to be forever 😁Thank you again for playing!!

No need to thank for playing it was quite fun :)

I had a lot of fun playing!

Cool mecha model, and cool atack effects, good job!

Fun little game. Navigating and aiming felt a bit difficult sometimes. I almost killed all enemies except the boss with the 2nd weapon :D and I really liked the sound of the buttons in the menu. Impressive work!

Submitted(+1)

Nice game, although it's a bit hard to aim because yor mech is infront of the crosshair some of the time + you can't look down directly.
But still a cool game in visuals and gameplay

funny game!!I am really out of bullets ,it is little hard to shoot at begin

Loved the movement and projectiles, one issue I had was the mech was blocking my vision of where I was shooting. Really fun overall, I played for quite a while

felt like there wasnt enough indication of what you were getting hit by, still couldnt figure out if i was inconsistantly being damaged by the water or an enemy. Felt like there was never a reason to use the machine gun, as they used projectiles, had limited ammo and diddnt do much damage

other than those criticisms, loved the movement, felt really really good to zoom across the landscape

really fun to play! The beam attack on 2 was particularly fun to use

I was pleasantly suprised how fast am I! Usually mech games feel slow and heavy, so I really enjoyed the speedy approach. Also ALL the mechanics seem insane for such a short time as ONE person? You must had worked non stop this week, lol.  Excited to check your other game out!

Developer

I appreciate that you noticed I worked non-stop this week, I had to sleep for 10 hours straight after the deadline 🤣🤣 Thank you for playing!!
