How does the game fit the theme?
You are in game jam inception, the deadline for the jam is coming up, you have to submit your game in time. Nothing can go wrong.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Some audio was pulled from pixabay and about 20% of 3d models were pre existing cg trader models.

Played your game on stream. If you wanted to watch me go through it I've got the vod below timestamped to your game
Incredible game! I walked around without going out (there is probably nothing interesting there, they only had a week to make it), then I started coding. I thought: nothing can go wrong, it is not possible to make a real horror in one week. The only horror would be to finish the game before the deadline.. . . . .
Even though it's a horror game, I love it! Will play again when I am not so stressed.
Haha yeah, not too much interesting outside. Though you are required to toward the end. Hopefully you made it past the coding task and were able to enjoy the rest of the game. Thanks for playing!
Great game! I felt so tense while playing it. The sound, atmosphere, and jump scares were truly terrifying. Great job!
Cool game. The atmosphere is definitely well-made. The visual style and sounds are impeccable. Events also take time to make, so nice job on that front. The way the computer interface was simplified to represent every facet of development was really smart.
Things to improve: The intro sequence is unskippable, which is a bad idea for a game with multiple endings. Also some smaller details: I'm not a huge fan of head-bobbing in general so, personally, I'd reduce it. There also were a few spelling mistakes, which affect the inmersion (i.e non-capital "I"s).
The humor/horror regarding Brackeys was definitely chuckleworthy.
Great job!
Good feedback, we've been tracking the non skippabke intro, probably the most consistent feedback we've received. The head bobbing is a new one. I think making a slider or just an on and off setting for that would be good. I do know some prefer it but having it optional would help for those that don't like it or have motion sickness. Thanks for playing!
Absolutely loved this game! The cool references and the creative game development minigames were really on point! The amount of fluff you were able to add in such a short time is impressive! I definitely would love to see more chapters added in the future! Great stuff!
Thanks for playing!
Super creepy and well done! Loved the claustrophic feeling as things get weirder. The perfect amount of meta
super fun, got me to jump out my chair a few times!!!!!
5 out of 5.
and where can I buy some of this dev fuel?
Great game! I found a few errors though, and I’m not sure if you’re aware of them yet.
For one, during both knocking sequences, I can just phase through the door with no errors. Also, I’m not sure if this was intended, but when it game to the typing, I could just hold down any key and it would count.
Firstly thanks for playing! Yes I personally noticed the door one haha. Unfortunately it was after the bug fix time period, but thanks for pointing it out!
The typing challenge was a bug turned feature. We want people to feel like hackers haha.
Of course, just letting you know just in case!
Amazing game. I'm not really one for horror games cuz they scare me so bad and I'm a weenie, but I really enjoyed this one. You nailed the creepy vibe and I liked the meta-ness of the game where I'm trying to finish my jam submission. This is the first horror game of the jam I've played that legitimately scared me a few times, so I think you did a great job. I think the only thing I would've liked to be different would be being able to skip the intro, it's a bit long to sit thru every time to try again after dying when something goes wrong on a run. Really great work tho, fantastic horror game!
First, thanks so much for playing! Glad you enjoyed it! Second, yeah that's the biggest complaint we've gotten and have made improvements for post jam. Can't believe we didn't do it in time for the jam lol.
Very well made! Nice idea and polish! Nice to see Thomas on TV :)
Haha, thanks for playing!
you’re the first person to notice the Thomas Easter egg!
This game is amazing! The whole experience has been a rollercoaster of laughs and scares, you've really nailed both the humour and horror aspects! I love the attention to detail and how you've captured the entire process of making a game. I also really like the detail of how the Pixabae page full of supposedly horror sounds only features like 2 scary sounds. It's extremely accurate to how Pixabay actually is when you search for them. The horror elements were very well done, I got jumpscared a lot by all the creepy things. I can see you've been heavily inspired by Fears to Fathom when making this, and you've replicated their style perfectly! The art looks great, I like all the little references to Brackeys, they were really funny! The sound design and suspense also really amplified the horror atmosphere. This game was great and a lot of fun. Great job!
Thank you so much for the feedback! Sounds like you got the full and intended experience!
really appreciate the in depth review! Thanks for playing!
George was the initial idea name and we just never changed it haha. Originally the baddie was gonna be a Ghost named George... But then we just asked ourselves... Why not Evil Brackeys? Haha, thanks for playing?
scary vibe with the lights flickering and i liked the style you guys picked! mt computer never booted up but the jump scare and the guy coming out the tv was good liked how he kinda stood smiling after haha
The computer should boif after you pick up the can of Dev fuel.
Thanks for playing!
Very nice and scary game i Like the graphics of it, well done
Glad you liked it! Thanks for playing!
This must be what it feels like to crunch in a triple A company. Horror is the perfect genre for the theme, and coupled that with your meta game concept, this might the game in the jam that fits the theme the most.
And you managed to create such a scary atmosphere, with great use of lighting and sound effect, you managed to make me feel like I'm home alone at 1 am and someone's knocking at my window, terrifying but with the just the right amount of comfort.
You did what every great horror do, combining the familiar (in this case your home) with the scary (the ghost of Brackey) and in return you create such an immersive experience! Amazing job with this!
I really appreciate that feed back! That means a lot because it's certain the feeling we wanted to present the most, and as a team of two we were definitely in a crunch.
Really glad you enjoyed the game. Thanks for playing!
I love horror games, just dont like playing them. Although this waasnt really scary, kinda like a horror game for people trying to get use to horror. It was really well done though and genuinely gave me goose bumps
Yeah, we kept in a lot of humor. We understand it's a Game Jam and the audience is for all ages. Thanks for playing!
yeah thats exactly what I thought you were going for. Great game, would love to see more of it
Definitely part of what we were trying to convey. Glad it came across that way! Thanks for playing!
Phew, I'm not a fan of horror games, and your game reminded me why))) Very oppressive music, just what I needed)) Good visuals. The jump scares were a bit predictable. Great job!
Thanks for playing!
The atmosphere is really eerie, I liked that.
However when I played video games on the couch, things did went wrong haha
Most of the time though, I had trouble knowing what I had to do.
The concept is really nice too, with the game jam inception, great game!
Thanks for playing! The text at the bottom of the screen should guide you through what to do, but if you miss it, we never implemented a way to show the text again so it can be easy to get lost if you dont read all the text. Definitely an improvement we plan to make in the full release
I saw the text on the bottom of the screen at the beginning, but at some point I became lost. I must have missed what the last text said indeed. Sorry I couldn't play all the way through, thanks for the reply!
