nice little game! A checkpoint would have been great though. The art is really nice and the atmosphere is great!

Developer

We're glad you liked the game! Unfortunately, we couldn't add a checkpoint before the deadline. Thanks for playing!

Loved the art style, would love to see this expanded as a longer game, good work!

Really polished and fun game!! Been playing it again and again in the hope of a third ending.. Please let me know if there is one coz it's gonna drive me crazy..

Really good art and visual effects. Gives that something is wrong feeling. Music is OK, support the narrative and game art is good.

Would have loved a check point after all the common tasks is done. Got hectic when I wanted to get the different endings..

Kudos!! You made a great game..

We're glad you liked the game! Unfortunately, there is no third ending. Sorry for driving you crazy 😅. Thanks for playing!

Damn :(

Will be waiting for the third ending then!! xD

Really great lookibg visual style, and the progression and pacing is good, nice work on this!

I loved the art and the music. I liked the twist (Maybe I'm biased ahah)
There is good potential for a longer game! Well done!

Developer

We're glad you liked it! I agree, it does seem to have potential with the story (especially with regards to the grandfather); thanks for playing!

The theme and art are incredible - amazing job! I could only get ending 1, I'm not sure if that was by intention.

I am getting more and more into pixel art so this was definitely great to play!

Developer

I highly recommend that you try and get the second ending. Hint: you don't really have to turn on the lighthouse. Thanks for playing!

Very cool art and atmosphere, I think something got bugged when I turned down the blocked path and searched the cave before repairing the lighthouse windows and I couldn't find any fuses. But I'm planning on coming back to try again later!

Developer

The fuses are right outside the cave near the wooden logs. I don't think that it is possible for them not to spawn in on the map. Make sure you search for it carefully; items have a white outline around them. Thanks for playing the game!

Very impressive game. I got both endings, like the twist. I really love the atmosphere created. It works well as a stand alone game, but I think this would also be great as an intro to a longer game where you actually come to control the lighthouse on a day/night loop. It's certainly a world you'd want to spend time in. Good work!

Developer

Nice, you got both endings! We're glad you liked the game! We will definitely look into expanding on the game in the future. Thanks for playing!

Incredible! The game’s art is beautiful, and the concept was very well executed. I really enjoyed the multiple endings, which kept me engaged for a good while. The only thing I would suggest is making the controls a bit clearer within the game itself, but aside from that, everything is spot on! Amazing job!

Developer

We're really glad you liked it! Yeah, clarity of the objectives is a necessary fix if we ever come back to the game. I'm glad you had a fun experience though! Thanks for playing the game.

This game is really impressive for a week's work! I loved the pixel art and the atmosphere was perfect. I liked the different endings and I think it would be cool to see it expanded a bit even more. Great work team!

The polish on this game is amazing. It took me a while to find the second ending, but this game is really fun! The UI, audio and art is great, but maybe the directions could've been clearer to the player. Amazing job, this is great work!

Developer

We're glad you enjoyed it, and gave it the time to find the second ending! True, the directions could've been clearer, but time constraints made it difficult to add everything planned. Thanks for playing!

I'm astonished ! The quality and polish in the game is insane for a 1 week jam. I like that there was 2 different endings, but would have loved a little checkpoint after the ending 1 in order to avoid fast skipping every dialogues in the game just to take the other ending. Aside from that, magnificent artworks, animations are great, attention to details is absurdly good (I mean, who has handle the case where the rain start and the character wear his hood ?).

Congratulation for this game !

Developer

Agreed, a checkpoint after ending 1 would've been the way to go, but unfortunately we couldn't add it in game before the deadline. We're glad you liked the game, and thanks for playing!

The art and sound is beautiful. Really impressive for a game jam!

I was a bit confused by getting ending 1. I believe it would be an improvement to give the player more warning before the game ends like that. Some kind of hint about the stakes of the decision you're about to make. For me, the ending seemed to come out of no where.

But other than that, I thought it was great! Well done to your team!

Developer

We're sorry regarding the confusion you experienced. I agree, we should've made it clearer what's at stake, but time constraints made it difficult to add the necessary features. Thanks for your feedback, and thanks for playing!

This was really cool! Took me a bit to figure out how to get the second ending, but I do love it when a game goes off the rails. Quick, concise and well executed!

Developer

Nice, you found the second ending! Thank you for the compliments, and thanks for playing!

I really enjoyed the story and the art assets of this game! Props to everyone that worked on it ^^

The game concept is cool and the graphics are really cool. The game should guide the player more though because a lot  of the time it was really unclear where you could or could not go. Even the quests in the top left corner sometimes mentioned stuff I had already gotten.

Other than that the sounds and gfx were pretty good!

Developer(+1)

We're sorry for the confusion you experienced. We tried making the objectives as clear as possible, but it would've been clearer if we were able to add all the features we planned to add (unfortunately time constraints made it quite difficult ). We're glad you liked the sounds and graphics! Thanks for playing the game.

This game is neat, i love to see a fully flesh out mystery in just 7-8 minutes

1. The sprites are awesome, the main character goes from rain hat down to hood up when it's raining nice touch. The flashes of light look good and everything in the game looks like it should.

2. I love the voice lines, sounds like Golden Sun, how do you this type of sound its so nostalgic and awesome. The thunder in the background was nice. The airhorn siren goes on for too long its annoying lol

3. There are too many invisible walls in the game, you don't know if you can go a certain way or not. For example the opening pier on the left hand side should have just ended to water or but some crates there, too often I thought I could go somewhere that I couldn't and there's no indicator really that you can go up, or an indicator where the lgiht horse door is going down.

4. The swaying of the trees was really nice

5. Having a story told in a short amount of time is really nice and one that fits the theme too

SPOILERS

Can't believe I'm doing spoilers form a gamejam

6. Discovering the cave was a great moment, looked really scary inside, the cave was put together nicely, loved finding the robes and the man in there, a nice shocking scene

7. I got both endings, its a little obscure how to get the second one, I just went for the only option available, I loved I got to put the red robe on, but wish it was more purposeful and I go to make the decision myself to put it on (maybe another button prompt after you decline turning the light house on?)

8. What did boarding up the windows do? was it just a red herring for the true ending, the planks and nails did nothing

Great experience, thanks, keep jamming!

Developer

We're glad you liked the game! Most of these issues are a result of time constraints, especially the #7. The basic idea is that you become  part of the cult, but unfortunately we couldn't have added everything we planned before the deadline. Thank you for the amazing feedback, and thanks for giving the game a fair shot! We're glad you enjoyed it.
