How does your game fit the theme?
In Rest and Ruin you play a brave knight defending against the monsters storming the castle. In between waves of enemies, take a breather in the calm, relaxing safe room before your next fight. Chat with the adventurers hanging out in here, upgrade your gear, gather your thoughts, and brace yourself for the storm ahead.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?

Nice little game! I love the music specially the combat room :D Great characters, you can see the thought behind every detail. I've died a couple of times but I'll keep trying, it's really fun!

I talked to the chicken until I got it, then to Artemis, and I ended up stuck on the map because no monsters were spawning. In the next run, I encountered monsters spawning off the map. It would also be better if the attack was based on the mouse rather than movement, as it's a bit inconvenient to have to move toward the area where you want to attack. Other than that, the game is good.

Dialogue was hilarious! I liked this one a lot! Only problem is that I got telefragged a couple times because enemies spawn in randomized locations. Oh and a few of them went out of bounds, luckily my bow and staves could hit through walls.

This game fits the theme extremely well! We definitely felt the calm before the chaos. The mechanics and controls were intuitive and we felt ourselves getting better at the game with every swing. We liked the ladder going down to further rooms (reminded of runescape's barbarian village haha). We especially enjoyed the chicken's complex dialogue tree and how you spin as you enter the storm. A few times some enemies spawned outside the map bounds but other than that we did not spot any bugs. The big enemy downstairs could have been made a little harder ;P Great work guys!

Great humor and fun gameplay! I enjoyed the variety of upgrades and the quirky NPC dialogue. Some minor issues with enemy pathfinding and wave timing, but overall it didn't take away from the experience. The music transitions were spot on, and the art style added to the charm. Loved the boss fight too! Keep up the awesome work!

I like the humor of the game XD.  During my play, I ran into some minor bugs like enemies spawning/running through walls - Pathfinding from enemies doesn't quite work and they get stuck somewhere - The game says the wave is over, even if there was still an enemy in wave 2. But I'm just picky at this point, the game is great. Love it!!!

I love the huge difference in music from action to chilling, really tells the player that they can calm down. Great choice for art style and pretty good movement mechanics, well done!

A fun little game. I like the concept and I think this could be expanded upon a bit to make it even more fun and a longer experience. I like the ability to choose your weapon too, that's pretty nice. It has some replay value, but does have some minor issues like enemies spawning right on top of you, or in areas they shouldn't be in, but other than that, it was pretty fun. It was cool to have a little boss fight, but I think that situation could be expanded upon a little to make hit even harder as a boss fight. All in all, good job for the short time you were given!

I GOT CHIKN!!
The game was fun, I felt like the pillars were my best friend. I liked the cute dialog with all the different npcs and to progressively get stronger, I just wish there was more upgrades or money from the enemies! The music and art fit in well.
