Nice work, I love games that let me sneak around and steal stuff. A few issues tho, the camera was really jumpy when standing close to walls. And the vertical sensitivity was way lower than horizontal. The enemy had a texture issue for me where it was just bright pink, and it didnt do much of anything, just stand around. I also couldnt figure out how to get back to the start area.

Good job on the submission!

Don't really undestand the comment?

You like them or what? :D

*To unlock them you need to complete the break-in - find the chalice and bring it back to the master ;)

I liked the idea of using the door to travel to different locations and steal items from that world, it's a fun idea. I did have some trouble trying to understand the order of when and where to do things.

Charming game, and a fun concept using the jam's theme!

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked the concept of the game.
The task window in the top left corrner was made so it helps a little with the order of things to do but saddly it does not change when the chalice is found.

Thanks for playing!

Huge undertaking, well done in getting so much accomplished in one week!  The portal door at the beginning is a nice piece of tech.  The skybox is actually really pretty, kind of a shame I only saw it when I fell through the floor.  The 3D assets are all really nice.  Maybe the fox is a bit too glossy.  Good music and an interesting idea.

Overall I think everyone can be proud of something they did for this project, even if a few bugs get in the way.

Developer

Thanks
In a perspective too huge.
But lesson learned and I will try to constrain myself with the ideas next time :D

Submitted(+1)

Wow, really big project for a week!

So cute graphics! Especially paintings! )))) Pure masterpiece! ))

Cool concept and lot of mechanics.

I hope later you'll polish it and it'll be brilliant!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! The paintings were fun to make :D We have plans to make it more finishes, thank you for the review

Submitted(+1)

Nice graphics, but the game's too bugged to be played :/

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Sorry about the bugs, we plan to polish thing out later on

Submitted(+1)

The first level should be smaller, lot of rooms to check when I am not even sure of what the goal is, well the fact that getting the chalice doesn't update the "mission" doens't help.

The idea had some potential, but actually the game have too much bugs and need more polish..

There was no sounds in my first run, i've had to reload multiple time to have it, and when i had sound it got some bug (noises, looping for a short times etc..)

Pink guard and it get stuck at some point not moving, flying door/ Door open but you see them close, you can cross the texture.

The camera have some struggles.

The perception description is missing.

I've gone two time to the backrooms falling under the floor.

We can see you wanted to do a lot, and you did, but you definitly need more times to make it works.

Developer

Yeah, we had 3 people work on the 3 main systems: Player, Map Generation and AI.

In the end we sadly didn't have enough time to stitch them together well and we had to rush lots of things to even get a working build ready at all haha.

Still, we are quite proud of what we achieved in only 7 days. If only we had a bit more time to polish and test all systems together hehe.

Thanks for playing!

Very ambitious game, but overscoped as a one week jam entry. There is a lot of potential here but most of the systems seems to be halfway implemented and doesn't work. IMO it could have been a great entry if you focused more on the core gameplay loop and less on the extras.

The graphics, atmosphere and humour of the game are great. The stealing mecanic is already fun thanks to the humorous comments and the fact that you can steal everything. It would have been great with additional tension if the gard AI was working.

Also:

  • Don't port your unity 3D games on webgl, performances are terrible and it's basically unplayable (unless you optimize it a lot).
  • The guard material is missing (it's pink)
Developer

Thank you for playing!
It 100% was overscoped πŸ˜… but our team did a great job and I think one more day would be enough for us to make it more complete (playable state).

About porting it to web:
People usualy dont play downloadable game but there is a downloadable version for anyone willing to try ;)

It is pink :D
We were trying to implement the spell that would show enemies throught the wall, and the shader from this spell is always active + broken :P

A little bit of polish and this game would be amazing! Love the idea and the amount of content is impressive for a game made in a week! Excellent work :D

Developer

Thank you

really cool game! the graphics look great :) the camera was a little sensitive

Developer

Thanks!
Camera needs some adjusting for sure πŸ˜…

Submitted(+3)

Great game, that has a lot of potential, though I think it was a bit overscoped for a game jam.

Camera feels a bit clanky sometimes. I haven't noticed any intelligence in guards, they just stand in place and do nothing. Also, I don't understand what to do on a second level (green plane with one guard).

I advice you to scope smaller in the next jam and leave some time for polishing and bug fixing :) But anyways, good work!

Developer(+1)

100% agree
It was overscoped (that is all on me, I am strugling coming up with simple ideas) but all the systems were there, we just did not have time to stitch them together and polish the gameplay...

Only 1 level is playable that is that randomly generated house.
And the guards kinda work, but if they are standing in place this means that they found the player (and we did not implement the cought state).

Thank you very much for a honest feedback.

I agree with SmelJey

Submitted(+2)

well made! For a 7 day submission, this game has so rich contents

Developer(+1)

Thanks!
Yeah... I am strugling designing simple games.
Luckly our team did an amazing job providing all the assets and ideas.

I think the game has a lot of potential and could be a lot of fun with some updates! The camera was a bit wonky at times and if I put the game in full screen then went into the inventory I would have to leave Fullscreen to close it. I also could walk through some doors. I like the text when stealing and I like the item names. I couldn't tell if the purple guy could hurt me or not so I just walked by him.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing!
Playing in browser has some disadvantages like this escape minimizing the game and Ctrl+W closing the tab so you are unable crouch πŸ˜…

Game needs lots of polishing and the camera is for sure the thing on the list.

I hope we gonna keep working on a game so maybe in the future you can check it out again in more playable state 😁

The concept itself is sick I've heard of roguelikes before but a stealth-based, third person games new to me. There's nothing game-breaking in terms of bugs, some objects in weird spots and enemy model not fully rendered. The worst of it is the camera that you've gotta battle when in close quarters. Otherwise, there's potential here!

Developer

Thanks!
Really glad that you enjoyed it and found the concept interesting.
Game needs lots of polishing and we are going to try making it better!

Submitted(+3)

Interesting game idea. Its cool to see a third person 3d game for a one week jam, good job!

Developer

Thank you!
We tried our best!

Submitted(+3)

I see the game idea has potential, and I enjoyed the flavour text when you steal strange items :P

The game need some bit of polish though. There are various bugs and visual glitch that make it hard to play. Beyond that, I feel like the maze are too big. I quickly got lost and i felt discouraged to steal the same item so many times. I think would be better to start smaller with less rooms, and increase gradually during the game.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for playing!
You are absolutelty right about making it smaller. Note for another jam😁
Sad part is that our 3D modeler dropped out so yeah we lack some variations of items.
I am glad that you liked at least some parts of the game 😁

Submitted(+4)

neat game! great jam submission! some doors would appear closed even after opening but you can just walk through them.

Developer

Thank you for playing!
About those doors... There are somewhere in the prefab... Saddly didn't have much time for more polish πŸ˜“
