How does your game represent Mode?
The playable character can enter a POSE-mode in which the gameplay changes.
I also added on buttons that set the type of difficulty and gameplay expected from the player.

I get so hooked on infinite runners in jams, lol. I loved the aesthetic of this one, and the bigmode difficulty wasn't too bad (though I couldn't make it past like 70). I had a bit of a hard time distinguishing a wall from the next wall as it got faster, so a bit of texturing on those would go a long way I think. And the pose mode was super unique and really clever. Genuinely enjoyed this one, well done!

I think the pose mode is a really neat addition to the format, I always looked forward to the next pose mode, especially on higher difficulties. Main thing I think would help the most would be some better depth perception, even something like a drop shadow would help a ton. Solid work!

The game is simple but very fun! It was challenging to calculate the depth, and sometimes the camera rotation helped, but other times it made it worse. I guess this is also a way to add difficulty. But great job overall!

The aesthetic was great. I didn't know what was going on when i was stuck in a pose. That was a fun surprise. I liked the overall vibe of the game. Good job!

I like the art aesthetic! The fit through wall part really took me by surprise after doing all those jumps/ducks! I wished the pose would reset for each wall portion, trying to untangle what I did last time was not as easy as I thought it'd be lol.

Awesome job! Subway Surfer is gonna have some tough competition because this is great! Loved the way that mode is incorporated, the way it changes the game is loads of fun. Great work!

Ooo neat space graphics!
Can barely hear the music tho.
How do you get this pose mode?

Developer

every 25th obstacle in "Mixed" will put the player into pose mode automatically

Submitted

Ok. So do the controls mix during mixed mode? How do you know what button is jump and which is slide?

Developer

arrows keys or WASD. For poses you have to use the mouse to drag the limbs/character around.

a simple but fun infinite runner. i enjoy the aesthetics. pose mode is a fun twist, very clever. however i encountered a bug where my character was on the right and pose mode started, the hole is in the middle and i cant move my character there, so i was forced to lose. other than that i really enjoyed myself. very fun game!

Not gonna lie. At first it seemed like the normal jumping game you'd see, but then the body morph mode popped up and I started having more fun. Was also funny.

Fun play, hope you play mine! :D

pretty simple, but pretty fun! the aesthetic of the game is awesome, i love how the player model looks, and i love the little details like the satellite flying off in the background. the basic gameplay of the run & jump mode isn’t too difficult, i had a nice time with it though. on the other hand, the pose mode was a bit too difficult for me. the perspective of the camera made it really hard to see what i was doing - i took damage on just about every one of them. it would help a lot if i could see my silhouette reflected on the wall itself. it is a really cool idea for gameplay, though! you should definitely touch it up a little in the future. nice job!

The space fantasy colour scheme and shader work are great! When I saw the thumbnail, I had to check this game out! The pose mode was super cool, I wish we could have experienced more of that part of the game. I always wanted to play those pose games on those Japanese game shows, so I was quite excited to live that fantasy out in your game :P.

Developer (1 edit)

Thx ! I also always wanted to be on one of them. I believe I somewhat failed in the execution of it, but I think I'll touch it up a bit after the jam ends.

That pose mode at the end is great, super unique idea. The game feels very polished, especially the menu and UI. I beat all 3 difficulties but it took me a few tries to get past each pose lol. Good job, fun game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks ! My main gripe is that I wish I could polish the difficulty ramp up and camera a bit more.

The only difficulty "spike" was the first time you get to each stage's pose mode imo since its a little hard to see the shape until its too late. Even then its not so difficult its frustrating or anything, just takes a second try.

Pretty cool idea with the pose mode. Game would benefit from some sort of collection/upgrade and powerup system like other runners have.

I like running in the stars in this game. I like all of the option you get to play the game.

Nice job with this game! I appreciate the camera angles on the player varying every now and then, it spiced things up. I also loved the simplicity of the game, too. I have a lot of respect for devs who can keep to a simple idea and execute it well. Thanks for the fun time!

Developer

Thx for telling me!

The pose mode was an interesting addition to this style of game! I found the camera to be really frustrating in both modes, unfortunately, it made it difficult to tell how close barriers were and what shape you were meant to be making in pose mode until time was almost up

Developer(+1)

Yeah you right. Thanks for the comment

It looks nice but the perspective makes it difficult to judge the timing on the jumps.

Developer(+1)

yeah, the jump also speeds up too much making it far harder than crouching when the game speeds up. I'll likely fix a few things after the jam is over.
