It's a little confusing for me but overall still enjoyable! <3 love the axolotl!
I did not expect to have this much fun on the game I burned around 30 minutes. Gameplay is engaging and time is always just enough to get you at the edge of your seat. The minigame of having to gather ingredients in the ocean was also really interesting, though I wish it ended as soon as you gathered all the ingredients. Other than that personal nitpick though, great game!
Very fun! The time to serve customers are a bit tight but once you get it down it wasn't too hard. The art is also really cute. I do think the change to the collecting section is a tiny bit jarring personally. I found a lot of time I just wanted to get back to serving the customers lol. I also gamed the system a bit by preparing all the ingredients beforehand while I had time, like getting the drinks ready, fish already cooked, and salad already prepared for the next customer.
Relatively simple game to play, I believe that navigating the different panels when completing orders for your customers could be explained a bit better, as I was initially confused what to do at the beginning of the game. Overall, I enjoyed the game.
I like the unique way of portraying the instructions visually at start of the game and even during the game, and it's working well and the art looks very good - excellent job.
I think this game has a lot of promise! Once I understood what was going on, both the cooking and collecting parts were both pretty fun, and I had a good time playing.
The way some tasks take time to complete, and others are instant lets you start one thing and complete another. That added some nice depth to the time management. I think this was my favorite side of the game. But because the game doesn't start on the customer part of that scene, I was confused at first and just started making a seaweed salad, and then was stuck with it until my mouse went close to the top of the screen and it panned up to an angry customer.
The collecting was also fun and kind of relaxing, the controls were really smooth. But I had no idea what my goal was until I failed it the first time. It was also a little tricky to hit the [E] button to collect while moving, I would have liked to hit [spacebar] or something instead so my fingers could stay on the movement keys.
Great work!
Gameplay wise this is a very fun entry! Its like an old Spongebob related flash game I once played when I was a kid 😂
I did feel the controls/room movement wasn't as fluid/responsive as I wanted it to me. I think having the room allocated to a button instead would have made it a better experience in my opinion.
Or instead of being a different "screen" have it that you can panner the camera to that area (left being where you fry the fish, middle the serving station and right being the beverage section)
Really well done mate!
Once I figured out how to get around the kitchen and serve customers it was really fun. It reminds me a bit of a game called “Cook out” for the quest that I’ve played a lot of. Fits the theme great too!
very good take on a cooking game!
axolotl is the new cat!
Really enjoyed switching between cooking and then getting the ingredients. Nice art too!
Nice take on the topic, really fun! For some reason the salad only appeared on the first meal ever, guess it's not popular among fish :P. Pretty solid.
Adictive and fun! great game. Is like two games combined in one. If you want, you can play my game here: https://itch.io/jam/-pixel-game-jam-2024/rate/2718966
This got me hooked, really fun gameplay loop. Kept playing til I got to a final score of 2,100. There was a minor bug where the game thought I was holding something durring the cooking sections but nothing was there, clicking the garbage can fixed it though. Overall, great work!
