^^ Exactly this. I haven't been able to figure out how to get past </3

Hard to pin point anything wrong with this one. Amazing job - loved your take on the topic & the overall execution. I guess if I wanna be nitty, I'd be good to explain you can throw the guys before hand? I only realized it on the boss.... BUT - really fun. Should become a full game if possible (although it's hard to tell where to expand - it's just about right imho).

Hats off!

Carrots might not be fruits - but darn do you feel POWER when you got it!! Really fun take on the theme (ala One piece?) loved the power ups (althought we need to talk about the dark power - I died to it).

Really pretty assets specially - wonderful art on those. If you guys made it for the jam, hats off!! The game looks beautiful. Good job <3

Neat! Tons of levels which was nice, quite hard, but overall well executed! Graphics looked great too - good job!

Flying cutter certainly was a pain to deal with - it killed me multiple times in the spawn point </3. Teleport needs a bit of a cooldown imho - otherwise you can just spam it and pretty much complete the level :D!
Other than that tho - really cool game! Nicely done!

Duuuuude we had this same idea during the brainstorming session. Glad to see it achieved!! Good job! Really fun take!

Ahhh that's nice! I've heard of the game it comes from, a movie iirc (?) I really can't recall, but I spot it right away! Lovely done man!

Really simple, but quite addicitve. Ended up playing for quite a while tbh. One nit - Waves should end automatically if no more mobs are around .On the later levels, I ended up clearing up mobs too quickly and just had to wait around after the fact.

Game was fun - but Stage 5 is HELL!!... Way too hard. Also, it seems to me the mechanic about using the battery (which is also your life) is a bit hard to justify on levels like that where the number of enemies is just too high. I died a lot both because of enemies and because of bullet overuse :(

Nevertheless, great entry and awesome to see you using Phaser!!! That's huge!

Fun & specially satisfying. The feel you got in the game with minimal graphics is AWESOME, and the palletes used throghout look amazing. I'd 100% continue this project with more levels.
Amazing job!

Fun overall, but I did think it would've been nice to actually control shooting. It was pretty hard to align the shots and destroy the right machine. There was also too much incentive to just run through the level imho, since checkpoints were close enough that you kinda could.

Nevertheless, good job <3 Nicely done!

Simple, but worked well, Did like the fishes running away from you - really nice touch. I initially thought I'd just have to hit them but when I saw them running away tought it was a nice little surprise.
Good job!

A little bi too fast on my PC for some reason (extremely hard to play), but really good level design and overall, great job completing the game :) Keep at it!

Quite short but nice hand-drawn graphics. Fishness was really good tho - Loved feeling like the chosen one for sure <3 Keep it up!

Loved the enemies' design and combat in general. Didn't really like falling through the stage while fighting tho (didn't really get the mechanic on why I fell?) still, really well made. Great aesthetic too! I wish I knew how to use 2  colors as well as you did....

Well done!

Loved the art-style, the game was simple yet quite fun!! Loved how you ended un battling through. Had to die twice to figure it out tho... nice little game!

Really good entry overall - loved the style and the fighting, perhaps one of the most fun fighting mechanics I've dealt with in the jam!
My only nit was with the Green area where you get turned around randomly :( Caused me a headache personally. Seeing the enemies would've been nicer imho - just so I knew what to expect, but the movement and mechanics were 10/10, so can't complain much.

Awesome job!

Thanks a lot for the feedback! Perhaps due to how many times I played I didn't get too nauseated while playing, but I will take this into account in the future. Awesome feedback <3

F is to open doors - this changed my life :D!

Awesome aesthetic, a LOT of little things to unlock and really interesting take. Really awesome proof of concept here! Loved the art-style and the general feel of the game. It's darn hard tho! Be careful not to pick fights you cannot win (as I did multiple times).

Awesome!

Really good overall! great presentation and great power-scaling so long as you go down the right path (my 1st time wasn't fun :P). Loved the weapon variety, although having a cool-down or something would've made the desicion to use a weaker weapon more appealing. Also, I think it really needs a mini-map or some distincitive features whenever you reach some points. It's really hard to tell yourself where you'd gone - I ended up spinning pretty much in place for a while.

Also, wasn't a fan of the all-dark portion.... but, thanks for putting in the 45s potion <3. Managed to completed due to that. Great work!!!

Having this same issue. I can move, but I cannot get out of the room for some reason :(? I tried downloading too, but can't seem to figure out how to open the door (?) May be a  bug?

Overall good presentation and atmosphere :). I agree with the other commenter on movement tho, would've loved to see it a bit faster. Certainly lovely aesthetic and sound design as a whole too!

Overall, really fun game! loved the art and overall aesthetic! Rating a 4 mainly because of a few game-breaking bugs (couldn't pickup the Green shard nor use the blue one after I picked it up for some reason :()

Nevertheless, really good direction overall! Loved it! If this is your first game, trully keep at it, you have a good eye for it!

Really fun!! A bit hard imho - then again, I'm not good at these... Still, awesome work overall, loved the general aesthetic and all the little details you took into account. Great art, great music, movement felt awesome! Good work!

You will not believe me, but I swear to God I had this same idea - although I didn't run with it (Forcing the character change upon the player). However, your art, execution & everything is just amazing! I can't believe this was just made in 48 hours. Hats off to you mate!

Beautifully looking, and a pretty novel concept at that! It's a shame I couldn't win (Is there a way to even win?? xD) but it was a fun few runs trying to beat it! Great job!

You can totally make this into a full game imho! Good time-killer when on a subway or something. Amazing job!

Thanks, that's actually really helpful!

Regarding the losing control - We do add some input delay, but maxed out at .3s (Mainly because after some playtesting, was the least "Frustrating" value we could find). Shame this number doesn't seem to be enough to make the player feel like they've lost control. We'll improve on this moving forward.

Again, thank you for the detailed answer! Means a lot.
