Another Inverse Flappy Fish with some variations like an Otter as main character
Pretty good but there are a couple things.
Firstly, the fishes and piranhas can get to small which caused me to get eaten by piranhas I couldn't even see. Secondly, you can't pick up the rocks when they are in the same area as the islands.
Don't get me wrong, it was still a good game but those were just some thing's that were annoying me.

Suprisingly fun! I love how the fish actually try to run away instead of just letting you eat them like I would've expected, making you need to work for your food. Great game!
Reminds me of old flash games haha. Needing to eat in between collecting the rocks was interesting. The hitbox to collect things seems a bit small, and hard to hit but not in a challenging way, more of a janky way. The levels didn't seem to add enough to keep it interesting enough to play passed level 3 where I died at (or went to another place). But it was alright.
Fun game! I laughed when you specified that the otter didn't die, he just went somewhere else. I had some issues with the hitboxes not being able to collect some of the rocks, but other than that I liked it!
Very original concept and I like the attention to details like the fact that shark eat fish too!
All around a pretty fun game for what it is :P Like the little otter collecting da rocks (its cute). I didn't get to see any sharks in my playthrough (which is too bad since it would've been nice to be a bit worried :)

really fun game and the music fits it very well for the orange rock i noticed that when you try t pick it up in the seagrass thingy spots it causes problems but when on the floor it is fine hope it helps anyways good game.
Fun game! The game is surprisingly tricky, but I enjoyed the challenge. Still died to the piranhas though lol. I had fun playing as an otter! Good job!
Fun! I love the art, especially the otter. Something about some of the art gives me Insaniquarium vibes, which is awesome.
Gameplay is simple, but fun. I found that quite a bit of the challenge was in figuring hitboxes, which didn't always feel too great. For example, there were several times where I felt like I had collected an orange rock, but instead I just watched it pass me by (for the hundredth time, haha). Maybe part of this is just that I'm not that great at the game though.
Overall, it kept me coming back, which is a great sign that you're onto something with this! Good work!
I didn't know Insaniquarium :O , I just searched that on steam, nice!!, I really appreciate all the feedback :), indeed the rock cannot be picked just going through when it is in front of a bush, it is a bug, and somehow there is a workaround that allows you to pick it if you try to pick it with the Otter's belly, I didn't planned that, just happened. lol. I am really happy hearing it kept you coming back, cheers!
Couldn't get past the third. i love the sprites and the water getting lower, the fish running away was simple but a very good touch. good game.
this is so cute!! I struggled a lot to eat enough fish; I'm not very good at surviving as an otter xD congrats on a wonderful and enjoyable submission to this jam :D
Awesome game! I managed to get to level 3 but then the scary fish hurt me. I love the game over screen xD
Why does the otter want the orange rocks? I need to know.
I didn’t recognize that some of the fish can hurt you; until it was too late and I died. Maybe some more visual separation would have helped me.
That's a good question, I planed to have a nice introductory story, but deadline was eating me alive, I have posted the game just minutes before it ends. long short answer, otters use rocks as tools to open some crustaceans shells while floating backwards. sorry the piranhas weren't so different from the regular fishes, that was actually part of the design though the head was planned to be bigger, it looked bigger when I was drawing it, lol, it just got smaller on the game. those are nice feedback tips that indeed I need to include like the visual indicators you mentioned, thanks for spending time to play it!!
