I escaped.

This game implements the themes very well.

The game looks very good and sounds good, the atmosphere is well rendered. I understand the slow movement is partly intentional but I think you took it a bit too far even with so few needed steps. The few puzzles are quite fun to solve and very appropriate, everything is cryptic, I was sad it was already over and wish there were a little more.

This a short yet cool entry, thanks for sharing.

I don’t know what to think about it. It’s super short, but have a couple of nice twists, which I liked. Atmosphere is really gloomy and dark, the way you progress through the game is interesting too. But movement is super slow and have these pauses between steps, it’s really dragging it back.

But great job at creating this feel and the way you need to progress. First time I honestly thought that I’ve completed the game in a couple of short steps, instead of looping back, but wanted to try further and saw that the game has this nice twist.

I escaped!

It took me a few goes round to solve it, but I figured it out. Really cool concept, and visually it looks fantastic. Really well done for 3 days!

Awesome job!

immaculate vibes, glad to say I escaped! Some are saying the movement is too slow but for the map size you currently have I think its fine and even adds a bit to the atmosphere, although holding down move would be a nice option (one I should have implemented in my game as well), thanks for sharing!

For 3 days it's crazy impressive to me, I don't even think my movement was working properly on day 3.

Of course I don't need to labour any of the points the others have made, but I really want to see what you can do for the next jam if you have the full week or 9 days if this is what you can do in a fraction of the time!

OK, I enjoyed that. Honestly, I didn't feel like I worked it out. Just kept plugging away!

I like t his concept though. Same over and over, but something has to give. Very good.

Nice graphics. Bit slow to move. Would have been nice to be able to hold forward.

Small things. Great game. Well done!

I couldn't quite figure it out lol. I played a handful of times, tried to attack/interact with every wall, ate the eye but couldn't get it. The grid movement and turning was good except I wish it would have been sped up a bit. Graphics and atmosphere were great, I wish I could have seen more.

It's like a very tightly designed proof of concept.  I felt the movement was too slow at first, but ultimately it was very appropriate and even added a bit to the mood.  Good graphics, sound, overall atmosphere.

It would have been pretty good to have more! Most of the length is really just the second/last puzzle. Only having two is unfortunate! Graphics were nice, which makes it sadder for the length! Ditto on the movement, but not bad for 3 days!

The atmosphere is excellent.  Good job on the sound effects and ambient sounds.  The visuals nailed the retro look so well.  The animations were good too.  I agree with others about the movement.  I liked how you used the endless theme.

Interesting experience. Not really any combat, but more riddle, puzzle game.

Developer

Thanks! Yeah I never played a dungeon-crawler before so I did not know what kind of feeling I was supposed to get from the combat so I just went for a different style!

If only there was more of it...
Agreed with everyone else about movement

Developer

There's always time for more! I mean, not to win the Jam but definetly time to improve what I have, I'll be sure to update this one

You made this in just three days? Impressive! The movement is very slooooow, change that and we have something rather nice here, as the atmosphere is spot on.

Developer

Yeah I was crazy thinking it was okay for me to do this ahah, the urge to not sleep was real but I managed to do the whole process in a rather sane and healthy way so I'm happy even tho yeah there are a lot of fixes, I'll be sure to update the game post-jam, also glad you like it thank you very much!

Great atmosphere! I enjoyed the art style and music, and especially liked how you incorporated the theme of the endless! Took me a few runs to actually get the ending

Developer

Glad you liked it! The scenarios I thought about were quite a lot,  would have loved to put more foreshadowing so that you could go on smoother but I'm happy you made it!

Overall good presentation and atmosphere :). I agree with the other commenter on movement tho, would've loved to see it a bit faster. Certainly lovely aesthetic and sound design as a whole too!

Developer

Glad you liked it! I'll fix the issue with many other touch-ups, thanks for the feedback!

Nice job! great presentation and atmosphere! movement was a little slow for me tho

Developer

Yeah it really is slow, I never made a dungeon-crawler and didn't know if I was supposed to make a run button but just now I realized that a simple "Hold to go forward" would have fixed the issue, thanks for the feedback!
