I gave it a few goes.  Honestly the hardest part was trying to make it back to your ship.  The mini map looked cool, but it would be handy to get an indication of where your ship was.  Unless keeping track of your location was an intended challenge.

It was a little confusing how you have 3 days to complete your task, and there are 3 locations to choose from but if you fly back to the agency a 3rd time, you lose.

I actually almost did it on my first try.  If I hadn't have bought anything and got some of easy picking from the lab.  Is the loot value randomized, because one time I scoured the Derelict pretty extensively and barely broke 100?

The combat was a bit lacking but everyone else has covered that.

I got some loot.

I killeded some heretics.

Obviously for their heresy.

Can't stand heresy.

My friends can all tell you.

Solid game.

Interesting choice on the combat.

It is a more interesting game than it first appears to be. There is some great mechanics with selling and fulfilling the task. Movement could be a bit snappier and combat has some issues with feedback on whats happening. Graphics and sound works well. Nice work!

Got that looting bug :( And ye, really hard to see number on higher resolution. So tiny!

Quite interesting way of crawling I would say. Grab loot and bail :)) I guess our enemies do the same kind of! I found out that its better just to grab closest to ship containers and move out, since otherwise you can get ambushed too much and will need heal, which will deduce your income. But then loot bug made me lose progress kind of... I was at 200 day1, c'mon!

The good old agency haha, trying to survive and meeting the quota just gave me the right feels! 3 lvls is also a lot for a Jam, good job on that! The only problem I found was that my inventory bugged and items started to count as 0 or even -1 and couldn't pick up items anymore

yeaaa that bug is absolutely cursed, thanks for the feedback and noticing the inspiration!

I eventually beat the game but I won't try New Game +, 300 was hard enough ;).

In practice you effectively have only 2 days as you can't sell after the 3rd one right? Also I think inventory is broken after you sell any item, or something like that, so you can't really buy any medkit I think, but maybe it's a bit more complicated. That's OK, overall these things do not really prevent from playing the game as intended and reach the end anyway.

Overall the game is fun, I like the turn-based gameplay which plays as fast as you press the buttons. The 300 threshold feels right, that was hard but not unreachable, an appropriate challenge which will take me a few retries really adds to the fun of playing a small game to me so that was a plus, I enjoyed learning some efficient routes through the levels. I like the enemy's animations as well.

This is a cool entry, thanks for sharing.

I wish there was a way to resize the window, as it is VERY small on a 4k screen, makes it hard to play. From what I could see, the graphics are nice and there is some atmospheric sound and for opening doors etc., but there are no battle sound effects, which would be nice for hit feedback. The enemie sprites are rather nice and very well animated. There are a couple of levels, so there is quite a bit of content.

Thanks for the feedback! sorry about the window size, its due to the way we set up the UI

I had lots of fun with this one and several attempts in order to raise the 300 needed. There is a feeling of mounting dread the more you gather loot because you always risk dying on your way back (if you can remember your way back!!) and losing everything. Very well done on atmosphere. I sometimes felt that maybe too many mobs spawn at certain points. Not sure if its tied to how many steps I take or how much loot I have, but I often lost by being overrun when very very close to getting the 300 I needed.

Developer

Hey! Thanks so much for the feedback, unfortunately didn't have much time for balancing so its certainly harder than intended, the spawns are tied to how many steps / attacks you make. I'll be sure to check out your game as soon as I can!
