What inspired your game?
An old game where you 'collaborated' with your past self! I liked the idea of working with yourself (or in my game's case -- against yourself).

How did you incorporate the 'girly' theme into your game?
Spent a lot of time making the art, graphic style, and most importantly, the two kittens + their animations as cute as possible! Most everything is round and pudgy.

Really enjoyed this game, it was super cute! Cool mechanic and game idea!

Developer

Thanks so much for playing, and I'm really happy you enjoyed it!

Really cool! But the gray dots that indicate where you can move to on the white cat side are basically invisible, considere making them black!

Developer

Ah, thank you for the feedback, and good idea! I should definitely make those points black -- thank you for playing!

Very cute game! Art style is great and it's really well polished. Good work!

Developer

Many thanks for the kind words! :p

The polish on this game is incredible! The sound effect when the cats move is very well suited to the game. Nice job!

Developer

Thank you so much!

This is wonderful. I played it twice without noticing cause I was staring at the adorable cats jump around! The art is so cute, the concept is really fun and the UI and the win screen is so good, nice job!

Developer

Awh, thanks so much for appreciating the cats and their jump heh. That took forever to animate. Really happy you enjoyed it!

Cool concept! I think this has potential for sure, nice music, nice visuals, however I think I myself would get bored after a while as it doesn't feel satisfying, as sometimes I'd just randomly move around until they were on the same line and then eventually could complete the puzzle without thinking too much. But I this could be so much more fleshed out in time!

Developer(+1)

Many thanks for the honest feedback! LOL I was afraid of this happening (randomly chancing on the right answer, and as a result, making the game a bore). Someone else mentioned that they mashed buttons randomly as well -- and honestly, during testing, I would run around blindly as well.

  • One possibility is to limit how many jumps you can take, total -- with some leeway, in case you get a suboptimal answer? Didn't want to force everyone to find the optimal path I had originally designed, in case it was too hard.
  • Another possibility is just adding more variety in the future. e.g., adding spikes, gaps, moving platforms

Let me know if you have any thoughts! Would love to hear them. This is great feedback frankly, so thanks again for the comment.

Yea, adding obstacles and more clear paths may be better than just grid squares (cricles).. basically levels should have a pre-determined way to solve, like pressing up left up right down will complete a level, and not much else will. That is how it will feel "solved" and you get that "ahh now i get it" feeling.

It's a great mechanic it's just finding out how to utilize it best is hard! You should do something with it after the jam for sure!

Developer

Yeah, that makes sense! Added to my todos, and it'll be a top priority after this jam. :p

such a cool and fun game!! the concept for the puzzle is innovative and the gameplay is polished!! the art and the music matches the game as well! a really pleasant experience overall! nice game!!

Developer

Haha, thank you very much!! Much appreciate your support

The cats were so cute! and the puzzles were well thought of! I had a blast playing this game and I will try my best to lower the number of moves taken for some levels '._.

Developer

Haha, thanks so much for playing the game! I appreciate you playing already -- if you beat a record, let me know :p

Very good game. Did you design this mechanic and game play cause i feel it was truly unique. It was kind of hard to see the dots on the white side at first though but overall amazing experience!

Aide from the game just letting you know, Its kinda trippy that you rated my game first, I didn't rate yours yet, but then 2 hours later we both rated another game within 10 seconds of each other. So I'm like wait.. that's the guy who rated me... I know this is weird for me to even mention. I just thought it was odd, maybe the universe was telling me I should rate you back. XD

Developer

LOL That's hilarious. I actually saw that too, and I was like huh, I don't remember seeing this review when I first loaded the page, ahaha.

Ah good point, those dots need to be more obvious, thanks for the feedback! And many thanks for the compliments. Yeah, I hadn't seen this game mechanic before! I'd seen games before where you control an "echo" of yourself, or control multiple of yourself (e.g., baba is you), but never where your alter ego is actively doing the exact opposite of what they should be doing, haha!

It's a simple but great game! Really love it!! I want to play more levels……❤

Developer

Thank you so much!! LOL Yeah, it needs more levels!

Submitted(+1)

Amazing aesthetic, love the cats. This is legitimately an amazing puzzle game concept you could expand on. Everything was spectacular, and super polished, I found myself really wishing for more levels. Awesome work!

Developer

Aw, I really appreciate that -- will definitely have to add more levels after the jam!

Good art, good concept. Nice game overall.

Developer

Thank you!

I enjoyed the art style, and the way you implemented the opposites attract theme! I like t he artwork for the cats as well. Sweet game!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing the game and taking the time to leave such a nice review! :p

Super duper cute movement for the two cats and a solid execution of incorporating this jam's sub-theme into the visuals and mechanic!!  ♥♥

Developer(+1)

Heh, many thanks! :p Seems like animating that jump frame by frame was worth it T_T

Submitted(+1)

Wow! I love it! The art is adorable, and it might be short but I enjoyed having to think about the later levels :) I can imagine playing it for longer!

I also agree with Jimangi's comment that this could totally be developed into a game I would pay for <3

Developer

Awh, many thanks for the support! I will definitely have to add more content after the jam is over.

Submitted(+1)

Solid game! Our team loved it, even if we just spammed buttons to solve most of the puzzles. Excited to see the later levels!

Developer

LOL spamming buttons is definitely a successful strategy. Thank you for playing the game and for the kind words!

Submitted(+1)

I love the puzzles, this game has the potential to add many more levels. I hope you can continue working on it. The art is beautiful.

Developer

Many thanks! And you're definitely right. I will need to add more levels, challenges, and twists in gameplay after the jam!

Submitted(+1)

Very original game, the cats are so adorableee ⭐

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I spent so much time making those cats ahaha. I'm really glad you liked them!

Submitted(+1)

Amazing, such a clean concept! Very cute cats too :D

Developer

Heh, thanks so much!

Submitted(+1)

Loved it! It's a really cohesive art style with a very distinct mood. I hope you keep working on the game because I really think you could expand it into a paid release with more levels and new mechanics (perhaps new animals mix things up or try to catch the cats).

Developer

Thanks so much for the high praise. I really appreciate, especially considering how well polished your own game is. I've added those to my todo list and will have to do those after the jam!
