Hi, Anonsh. I tried to play the game but got an error saying "the code execution cannot proceed because lua51.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem. Had it for two other .dlls as well

That was so cute. I couldn't stop pressing the jump button while holding the poop just to hear him squeak.

Someone on our team had a similar idea but we thought it was too ambitious. So glad to see you pulled it off. 馃槀Great execution and tremendous work for just four days.

That was shockingly good. Amazing work! What a great difficulty curve for a game jam gam too.

Really enjoyed this one! The retro aesthetic and audio sold me on it immediately. I'd be really interested to see what kind of variation you'd add to the quick-time event if you came back to the game. Maybe more of a rhythm action element?

Thank you for your kind words. Yeah, it was fun to take something so familiar and try to put a new spin on it (drawing on some very obvious influences).

Definitely a perk of the job  馃槈 We had even more perks we couldn't fit in and some beautiful unused art so maybe one day!

Thanks, Kyle! That's what we're going for. We hope to come back to it and make it even more compelling.

Thanks, Soleoyoyo! Yeah, we've seen a few games with lassos but so far I haven't spot anyone turn 'Loop' into a noose 馃槅

Thanks! Your kind words gave us all a boost :)

Can confirm. Skeletons are not hurt by these games of Hangman. We thought for quite a while about how to make a game about nooses not be morbid :D

Thanks, Guigo! Really happy you like it so much.

What a creative idea! It's a satisfying little mini-adventure. I could see this being a really compelling mobile game.

What a great concept! I'd be interested to see how you expanded it out into a full game, maybe by incorporating different kinds of beats.

Couldn't help but think of the lemmings from Lemmings when I saw that cute protagonist 馃槀 I enjoyed the chill music and vibes.

Super chill vibes and a great use of the time mechanics. I sometimes got a bit confused over which I would go when pressing WASD but I suppose that's the nature of a four-axis game at this angle.

Great to hear we managed to a people even to a non-word game fan. We hope the roguelike elements are enough to pull people round. :)

Glad you had fun! In this current version, we don't tweak the spawn rates of the perks so you'll see a lot of the bat letter delivery cards, but we put quite a few more specific ones in there which you need to get the really big scores. If we return to it, we'll definitely add more perks and vary the spawn rates. We had some ideas we couldn't quite fit in to the game in time.

Thanks for playing! For the jam version, we didn't want the difficulty to ramp up too quickly but the score threshholds definitely a lot higher. By round 7 or 8 you need to be smart with your perks or multipliers to get through.

Same problem for me. It's just stuck on loading. 馃

Cool idea! It was fun trying to dodge my own bullets and I enjoyed the music.

I really liked! The idea could go in a lot of cool directions and the visuals work well. It was really cool to see a two-player game in the jam too. The main thing I think would help is if there were some visual feedback when a player is using their power, since it's quite hard right now.

I think that would be great! Even so, it's really impressive what you managed to create in a just a few days.

Great idea for a game! It made me think of Unpacking, which is no bad thing. I could see how you could expand on the game if you kept working on it, hinting at more of the woman's story.

Love the sharp art and the fun customer sprites. It was interesting figuring out how each game worked.

That was a wild ride. I loved it. Really creative idea and the story made me laugh at several points. You really stick the landing. Great art and UI too.
Since all the words stay at the bottom for every character throughout, I got quite stuck in the middle, but that's fine for a game jam game. If you returned to working on the game, I can imagine how you might guide the player a bit more.

Thank you. Unexpected sadness is what I hope to evoke in my readers 馃槅

Thank you.

I'm sure there's a saltbae out there for Dr. Pineapple somewhere

Thanks so much for sharing it with your friends! It means a lot to hear you say that. We're very flattered as we thought Yin & Yarn set a really high standard too.

Thanks for your comments! Wish we could take credit for the music but that was from good old Kevin MacCleod.

That was a very fun idea. This brought back some memories.
If you made a full version with authentic polyphonic beeps and put it on the App Store, I could definitely see loads of people downloading it. Feel like you'd have to licence Crazy Frog for the full noughties flip phone effect though.

Seems like something is missing here. It says the game was submitted to the jam but there's no way to play it on the Itch page.

Was nice to see a game making an important social point in the jam. It's a clever idea and all the NPCs really irritated me in a very effective way. Great job!

Kids always manage to make a mess in the weirdest places, on the ceiling, behind the couch, outside reality.

Nice idea. I could imagine it being exciting at higher levels going very fast as you have to keep an eye on both screens at once. I wonder if I might prefer having one button to jump Chill and one for Blaze, rather than having to change, but maybe that extra challenge is important 馃.
The failure screen is very cute.

Nice work! Sun and Moon are very cute.

I'll definitely keep following what you do. I tried Delete or Be Deleted after this and enjoyed it a lot. :)

I love the aesthetic and I really, really like the idea of a card battler where you control two different characters. If you did a full release of this, I would buy it in a heartbeat. I think there's a lot of room to expand on the concept and you employed the girly theme in an unconventional way. I immediately felt like I wanted to know more about the story of these characters.

Very nice mechanic with the shadows. I can see a lot of ways you could expand on it. :)

They reminded me of my cats, except they're much friendlier.

This game honestly has one of the best Level Complete animations in any game ever.
Great concept and well implemented with fun visuals.
