Really glad to hear you enjoyed it so much! Level design involved much more trial and error than it did planning. The first thing I did was outline the structure of the levels, so I decided how many bulbs and how big each box would be. The principle here was to ramp up the size of the box before increasing the number of bulbs, to create kind of a zigzag progression. From there I mostly just placed the bulbs and batteries randomly and played a lot. Having friends or family to try your puzzles is a big plus.

I definitely agree with you. That's the main thing I would change in hindsight.

Thank you for the feedback, glad to hear you enjoyed it. Level 9 and 100 are just references to the extra level I hid in the top right of the credits page. I actually haven't beat it myself but I got a few friends to complete it, took each of them about 15 minutes.

Surprisingly I don't think I've gotten a single comment about it. I definitely considered it while I was making the game, even tested a high contrast mode, but I just couldn't really get it where I wanted in time. If this wasn't a jam game it would definitely need to be more accessible.

Thank you that means a lot.

Thank you! So glad to hear you enjoyed it, and very excited to know somebody found the "secret" level. Honestly I couldn't even beat it but I had a friend that figured it out so I left it in.

I love the art and music, and the puzzles are really well designed. Very fun.

I appreciate the feedback. Definitely agree that it can be a little clunky. I think maybe an exploded view or section view could help. Maybe being able to turn some of the wires transparent.

This is definitely the best clicker game I've played in this jam. Everything feels great and looks great. 10/10

This is awesome! So creative and I love the art so much.

Thank you! I really appreciate it. I spent most of the jam just polishing so I'm happy to see people enjoy it.

Good work! I like the game a lot, and it's cool to see good scratch entries in the jam.

This game is really well done. I love the board game interpretation of the theme, and the music and sound effects are great.

Levels are well built and the platforming feels good. It's also very forgiving and I was shocked to see that it let me keep the key on death.

This is a really great game. Enjoyed reading all the prompts and the ending was obviously 10/10.

I like the idea a lot. I think maybe I'm just not very good at it :). The hand drawn UI is very cool.

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.

Thank you I really appreciate that. Would love to port this to mobile.

This definitely my favorite game from the jam so far. Super creative and interesting take on the theme, yet simple enough that I could pick it up quickly. The art style is phenomenal and cohesive and the music and sound effects really tie everything together. This could definitively be a winning entry.

Thank you! I'd be happy to check out your game.

Really creative idea and interesting take on the theme.

I really like the art style for this game. Definitely had all my pc fans working overtime though. Good work!

Love this. Writing and art are 10/10. Great music too.

Fun game. I like the art style a lot.

Probably the most creative entry I've seen. I definitely suck at it but I had a lot of fun. Love the UI design.

Really creative entry. I like the hand drawn art style and the music is good.

Fun game! Love seeing fps games in jams. Never really quite figured out the jumping though.

Thank you! That means a lot.

Really fun puzzle idea. Good work!

Really interesting take on a programming themed game. I love how many combinations there are, and the hand drawn visual studio is really creative.

Cool game. Love the art style. Gotta try this on the crt :)

Really creative idea, felt great to play. Could maybe use a little tutorial or more explanation in the description.

Thank you!

Horrifying and uncomfortable, great work! Love the aesthetic.

Really fun game. I love the aesthetic and everything feels great. Also cool to see a Löve game in the jam.

Thank you!

Really well executed clicker game. Good work.

Thanks, I definitely agree on the clicking. I think the game would probably feel better on a touchscreen.

Thank you! Definitely got that comment playtesting with friends.

Really fun game and unique take on the theme. I also like the art style a lot. My only suggestion is that the little grabber points on the end of the cranks could maybe be a little bit bigger and easier to click. Kept missing them while frantically moving my mouse between different cranks.

EDIT

Coming back to this one now that the rating period is open. I like this game a lot. Just such a unique twist on the clicker formula and it's so engaging. Good work!
