Nice game and idea, and great artwork! Congrats!

I don't know if it was just me, I found it hard to catch butterflies, but I could see that the fault for that was mostly mine :)

If you can, take a look at our game as well. I'd be glad to get your feedback

Cool concept!

Nice game! Liked the art and the tutorial screen. It would be great to have some boundary indication within the game. I ran a lot against the trees on the boundary. Nice job!

This game is definitely one of the best of this jam. It's not over-complicated to learn the controls, or understand how the game works, and the graphics and audio are amazing! I also love how the screenshots show how the sprites were developed.

Realy fun game! The trees were sometime a pain because they hide butterflies, maybe it would be better if trees would be rendered under them. And the map boundry is invisible so you can easly get cornered when running from ghost

This was a great submission! I love the art style and music. The radar was also a cool mechanic.

Great fun game, even got myself on the highscores ;) The art style looks good. The music sounded good, but it started to hurt my ears a bit so had to turn it off. Overall great job! :)

very cool game idea, the UI menu may need a bit more polish

Great idea, just needs a bit of polish. I didn't quite understand whether my mouse position was every doing anything, and I didn't know what I was bumping into as I was moving around. Also displaying your score as you're playing is a simple and important touch. Good work, hope you keep working on it post-jam!

Nice game. I liked your art and the sound, but there was no player-environment interaction (i.e. rocks and trees are only background images, not objects that collide with the player) and there were no clearly defined boundaries. This is my guess, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that there was a lot of random number generation involved. Indeed, I noticed that:

  • the butterflies could spawn anywhere at any time without taking the player's position into account;
  • the duration of the timer changed from run to run and each time it rang. This lead to very short or very long period where I could catch butterflies without them turning into souls.

For these reasons, my score ranged from anywhere near 3 to 15 and to 27 when I was very lucky.

Overall, it was a nice game to pass time with. The menu feels professional. Good job.

I hope to see more from you guys in the future! :)

Nice artwork and fitting music. The shooting feels a little unfinished.

Really nice arcade game, and im actually impressed by how you were able to implement an online highscore system, would you mind sharing how you did it?

Also, I feel that the borders of the map should be indicated more clearly in the game, since the entire map of trees and rocks look the same. Currently, the only way of telling whether you are at the end of the map is by looking if you are at the edge of the radar. The walls of the map should be indicated by something like a wall of trees or trees in a concentrated area.

First, thanks for the feedback. Now for high score system to put it simply we have a database that have all names and score of the top 10 players. Then everything from the database is put on a website as on list and unity takes all the text from that website and then splits it at the end of the round checks if your score is higher than the lowest person on the database  then it will be removed and your score with your input name will be sent to a form and put in the database.

Really cool idea and artwork. Radar is also very cool.

I feel like running diagonally is faster then up/down/left/right only. You probably didn't normalize the input, so when going diagonally you go faster.

Great game, good job!

Really liked the art.

The art is really cool, you can see there was a lot of effort put into it. The instruction screen is very polished.

The game, though, left me a bit wanting more.

Good submission nonetheless! Good job!

Very polished game!  The art and game design is on point, I could hardly tell it was made in only a week.
