Simple solid game! Really liked the design of the icons!
It would've been nice to have some kind of highscore on the screen, or some indication of how much more "heat" you can collect until you get a game over.
The theme of a PC overheating was also pretty cool! Good job!

Solid game, simple and effective!
I think my biggest suggestion might be to implement the score somewhere on the screen while playing, or maybe some kind of combo meter. It'd be nice to know how well I'm doing, especially since everyone else is posting their scores lol (plus number go up feel good)
It might also be worth trying to increase the difficulty over time to the point it becomes impossible, like how some old arcade and puzzle games go faster and faster until they're unplayable. I noticed there was a difficulty ramp but it seemed to plateau fairly quickly and I didn't feel like I was being challenged beyond that.
I thiiiiink there may be a bug after a while, because at some point you have to wait years between drops... My final score was 415 but that was more because I quit after waiting around too long than skill issue.
I think the idea was very cute, and the iconography complimented it nicely. In terms of aesthetic the only thing I think would help is maybe music?
Overall nice entry!
In retrospect, I think a lot of issues stem from time constraints and poor time management on my end. I have fixed much of the issue and then some since then.

Nice use of the theme. My only problem with the game is that the interval between the icons rows appearing ca be veeery long. Like, I counted over 20 seconds for one of the rows of icons to appear on my first play-through and then about 10 seconds for the next one. The second one was better, but sometimes it still took a long time.
I'm not sure why the initial programming caused this to happen. This is the first time gdevelop doesn't want to cooperate with me and does things I cannot understand.
In any case, the weird timing has been fixed after some truncation.
Game with an interesting idea, I would like to see an evolution of it.

my machine overheated after 231 points :)
nice arcade game, on point with the theme. the only issue i encountered is that after a while the only two objects that spawn are the fan and the flame.
its a game that you could totally see on a nokia 3310 phone.

Not sure if I'm missing something, but nothing happens to me after the fan appears... from other comments, I think more things should be spawning :/

Nice little game! The icons where immediately recognizable as hot or cold, and the increasing speed helps making the game challenging. I only felt that maybe there could be more mechanics, like maybe having ammo to shoot some of the obstacles away, since the game reaches a point where you can do nothing but get hit since the screen is very small.
But overall the game is very simple, well done and a fun little experience, congrats!

Nice simple game, all of the different icons are very nice and i like that the health is displayed on the little. Only nitpick is that if you go far in the game there are only fires and fans.
The issue where icons only spawn as fires and fans was caused by a programming oversight, which has since been fixed.
I love the overall concept of the game and the interpretation also. But I believe if you made the initial icons fall faster, a better gameplay would be achieved.
Yeah, I also think that besides the icons falling very slowly (especially at the beginning) it is a nice game.

The programming wasn't efficient enough to run the game smoothly, which caused the icons to spawn at longer intervals. This issue has since been fixed, and the fix will be included in a later patch.
