This game somehow manages to be a lite metroidvania, 10/10.
Great game! Very well made... got nice art, good controls, and great ideas. Cool take on the theme. I actually played this more than I expected! I just stopped because I fell down this hole right after I arrived at the Ice Temple backdoor IIRC, and I didn't respawn no matter what I did 😕
Still, as I said, it was quite enjoyable! Hope you get more ratings.

I really loved the artwork you did! The game felt very immersive. Unfortunately, I couldn't get very far in the game because I couldn't get the non-movement controls to work and thus kept dying. :(
The puzzle element added to the freeze magic is a great idea. I love it when games use fighting mechanics also in puzzles/platforming. Nice work.
A cool metroidvania, the dialogue adds a ton of charm. I specially liked the environments, the ground texture feels very lush despite the limitations. The theme is integrated really well with the power up.
A very good entry! I did a metroidvania for the Nokia Jam 4, and this is much better than mine was! It overall was well designed, and it felt very coherant. The major thing I can say is that the final boss doesn't have enough player feedback to tell if you've done actual damage to him. Besides that the text color is a pure white instead of the Nokia green, but that shouldn't disqualify the game in my opinion. There was also one jump towards the beginning that felt a lot like a "developer jump" to me (a jump that's stupidly hard, but because you're the developer you don't notice. My metroidvania had one as well XD). Besides that the game was very good. I especially liked how you limited it to only playing one sound effect at once to better emulate the nokia. Overall, amazing job!
