thanks !

hi!

Thanks for your feedback !

I think I get your point : the game is a bit too unbalanced in the favour of the player. Same for helicopter : I didn’t want it to be to easy to control, as it would be a big advantage for the player.

I think the enemy should be faster and the helicopter more responsive too. For the plane, I noticed it but, as you said, it would be a boring way to win: everyone can win but not with the same experience !

Nice game idea! Impressive you fit everything on 3h. Why did you choose that the heart should be « protected »? My first thought was to let people reach it.

Thanks! You may try all the possibilities but might be a bit too long :P

Thanks! It's a great challenge to do!

Few arts but each are so well crafted! The simplicity of the design make the game very readable and help assets to shine. congrats! the #1 in art is well deserved 👏

👏 the concept is very unique. congrats!

This game remind me a game I was playing when younger (but can't remember the name)
How did you get this idead? it there an exit? the map feel so gigantic!

Beautiful assets and smart idea. I loved the zoom in zoom out effect! 👏

Loved it! Remind me Super Meat Boy in the good and bad way (it's fun but gosh, it's hard). The idea of growing and shrinking is very smart 👏
Very good idea execution

Beautiful arts. I loved the portal! The gameplay is also polished, for a game created in less than a week.

- the roadmap is on my notepad. It’s mostly about performances, sound and poking other platforms. I might just add a method to rotate sprites

- I don’t think I will other « export » option for iOS and Android (ie: it creates the app for you). But I want to try a way to import the engine on those platforms. The main issue is to support metal. (iOS)

- the technical constraints is more about the resolution. It’s not performing well with too high resolution as some operations are iterating on each pixel on the CPU 🥲

(But it’s a fun engine to create small games, it’s like pico8 but I added what I thought was missing from it)

thanks. No, there is no such things. But feel free to try the engine and give your feedback on it here or on github :)

Good idea to add a time limit constraint in a classic game mechanic. It might be a bit more forgiveness at the beginning of the game, to motivate players

Very good execution. The graphical effets are impressive!

Nice idea and well executed: good assets, nice mini game ideas. Should have been a big challenge to do so much things in less than a week! 👏

I really enjoyed the core idea and the game's smooth functionality! 👍

To enhance the player experience, consider adding more impactful feedback when hitting enemies – a bit more visual and audio 'juice' 💥 would really make those hits feel powerful.

Also, a 'pie-in-the-sky' idea 💭: imagine if enemies moved to create reflection-based attack opportunities. It would add a really interesting layer of strategy and make for some truly epic moments! ✨

Great work! 🎉

I think more people than I tough took the inspiration from the game "Digger"! 😂

Nice visual! Did you create everything in 3 hours? Also the concept is very "zen" which is not usual. congrats to bring such ideas!

congrats for your game. You were able to add all elements from " digger" game in less than 3 jours. I think the game could get a more "natural" touch with a set of tiles a bit less "squared" !
Congrats for your game!

Crazy you you were able to create such game in 3 hours. You fell the "Downfell" inspiration but it's not the same game: you took another point of view: I love the fact that you can smash the enemy.
Congrats 👏

congrats for your game! being able to create such game is so few hours is not joke. You nailed it! 👏

Wooo! I like the fake that you can play the game with different constraints.
I'm bit impressed by some animation (for the cube, the wings, ...) How did you achieve to do everything in a such short amount of time?

Love the characters of your game! For a small jam and having an introduction can be hard to achieve in a such limited time. Congrats!

👏 congrats for your game! You chanted to create a chill game and I think you succeed in such task. The game feel also very complite. I feel that there is a little lack of feedback when your friends seems to need help (ie: when you're focussed on other task, I think a little icon saying that you need to help someone might be appreciated.)

Congratulation for finishing the game 👏

👏 Love the game. The visual are good. The progression is also well done.
&TLDR: your game seems very complete.  Congratulation for such achievements

Loved it! you feel the portal vibe (a bit to much to be an "unique" game, but at least, you're using a good ground!)
This kind of mechanism seems new to me so I enjoyed it!
I think you can add a bit more feedback here and here (for example, why a cube can't pass by it s own color gate, ...)

Congrats for your game, you get something. Now it's time to make it shine!

Nice SFX and visual! Also the music give a good "crazyness" to the game. Congrats!

Sad I can't play it! (Mac). The visual seems very good by looking at the screenshot you provide!

omg I love the sound. You put a (squezzy) sound on bit eveything and it makes the game very enjoyable.
Even if there is a "manual" before starting the game; i think you can introduce elements more slowly. For example: why can't I eat the plane while later on, with the first evolution, it seems I can? Can I eat the police? (Yes, but it feel awkward to me to try to do it). The universe and the idea is fun (we can play a monster!!). Your idea needs to shine even more so more people can enjoy it! congrats!

Sorry: I checked again. Actually, it's kind of lava! I think I didn't saw it when I played because the color are not that different from the other side. But my command is still valid: Doing a miss fire at the beginning of your game will put you in a very bad position, while you just started the game for the first time. Could be great later in the game.

I mean:  flying outside the map

A metroid game with a such resolution is a big challenge by itself! congrats for that! Did you submit this game to the Nokia 3310 game jam? It would be a good entry for this jam also! (it finished last month)

You got it right to restrict your idea: you get a interesting game in only 4 days! To improve your idea, you might want to check the surrounding to the player. When the gravity change, you might fall outside of the world (and so dying) I feel dying because of that is a bit frustrating. You might want to keep that for latter in the game?

I think you got something. You might want to add more input feedback (ie: for example, which action was picked by the player, because clicking on "next action"). It might help your idea to shine! Also, I played with the right click while it's write to use only the left click. Did I broke something?  :D

I think you have the beginning of something. and you get the issue: you wanted to create a too big game in a too small amount of time. If you review the scope to a less impressive games (I mean, you try to create a flight simulator with a story!!!), I think it should be fun to get a story to live with a (or multiple) monster while flying a plane over the ocean. Would be very poetical. Don't you think?
congrats for this idea!

Very well executed game:

- The style is consistent and well done
- The hair is moving and give a great feeling the the character
- The idea of rotating the wold is good and well executed

👏 congrats

thanks. I feel that too sometimes but at the same time I wanted to stick to my colours palette.
maybe I could outline more  other elements

thank you for your feedback!

you’re right: the hitbox cannot be improved. The one with the balls might be too small and the one for the player too big 😅

Will think more about that for my next game:)
