Solid job on the game. Nice work! I never played a top down shooter before. This was fun. Thank you.

Neat stuff, love a top down shooter. I felt a bit lost wandering around the rooms without a clearly discernible lead, I think some sort of map could help a lot with that. While the different weapon types were cool, they might be more interesting if they had more properties that made switching to them more desirable in different scenarios. Would also love to have a reason to have doors locked instead of unlocked. Regardless, had a good time splatting enemies, nice work!

The art, the music, sound effects, all awesome. i love all the different weapons, and the hacking mode is pretty neat. very good and solid game! great job!

I was hooked from the start. The atmosphere was great and game-play was rewarding. Great work!

Cool game! The art, audio, and general presentation were all great. The different guns were also each really satisfying to use to mow down enemies, as they all had a unique set of trade-offs. As others below have mentioned, I think the hacking mode could have used some more fleshing out, as I never found any use out of locking the doors, and the only true obstacle was finding the way back to the player. Still, I think this was a great entry, and I had a blast (no pun intended) playing it!

Awesome game, the art, music, and sound design were really good - I especially like the splat sound when you kill an enemy. I like that there were multiple weapons but the hacking mode felt a bit underbaked. I never felt any reason to switch really and it was easy to get lost since there's no overarching map system. Also, an installer for a jam game is kind of much ;P You ideally want to make it as easy as possible to play your game, that way more people are likely to play it! And more people should certainly play this game, it's great!

this game was awesome! all of the art was great, and the soundtrack went incredibly hard. the gameplay was very fun, but it could use some quality-of-life improvements, imo. it was very tedious finding my way around the map and remembering where to go without any sort of minimap or directional indicators. the hacking mode could be better, too. the turrets in particular confused me, since there was no indication or reason for them to shoot me, as well. i could also just unlock every door at the start of the game, meaning i would never have to go back into hacking mode again for the rest of it. outside of those issues, though, it was still really good! all of the guns were very well balanced with one another - i think all of them (excepting the basic gun you start with) were at about the same power level, meaning i could use any strategy i liked. the boss was great, as well! it was pretty tricky dodging all of its attacks, and it actually took me a couple attempts to beat. great job!

Amazing job! Love the character and enemy design, the art is really great overall. I enjoyed the two different modes and this is a crisp fun game that's well polished! Nice work!

Love this game and concept. I feel like I get why there wasn't an "exit terminal mode from anywhere button" so if you went off too far you'd be lost and have to get back but without any danger aside from "just needing to waste time figuring out where you were" it feels less like a mechanic and more like an over sight. Maybe if mobs spawned if you're in there too long or you lose health? Or just, idk remove it and let me exit at any point. lol
That one criticism aside this is clean af. Great visuals. Fitting music that increased the atmosphere. Tight controls. Just the right level of difficulty. Different weapons types. A++

Yeahhhhh we had plans for a "Nemesis" enemy that would hunt you throughout the map while you were hacking but unfortunately it didn't make the cut. Thank you for the feedback and thanks for playing!

Really nice game! The art, music, and overall presentation is fantastic. I was able to get to the boss but couldn't figure out why the turrets were targeting me instead of the boss. Overall, well done!

You really nailed the old-school arcade feeling with this game! It was good fun, though I wish it would have a little more enemy variety and this might just be a me thing but I got lost in the hacking screen twice haha. Was surprised but happy to find the sniper rifle, was fun to try lining up the shots to take out multiple enemies. Nice work overall!

What an awesome game! It feels practically complete, and has some great interesting mechanics. Needs some more tweaking, but it's really great! Congrats to you guys on finishing this awesome game!

Super fun game with a unique vibe. The gameplay felt clean and the different weapons were implemented well. The final boss also had a lot of cool mechanics. We loved the amount of effort put into the pixel art & audio as well. This is a great game!

I really like the art style. Like the guy below me said, I think the game feels super polished. I do wish the world was a bit smaller, or perhaps there was a way to more easily distinguish where I am when I'm in the terminal mode, as I got lost pretty easily, but other than that, super awesome game!!!

Cool game! It was polished, I didn’t notice any glitches. The flushing animation in the beginning was a fun touch. The enemies were a little bit hard to distinguish from the background at a glance but that wasn’t a big deal.

I had a lot of fun playing this game! The worldbuilding is really cool and I like the designs for the characters, backgrounds, and levels. I do feel like the character movement is really slow so you end up dashing 99% of the time. But I liked the feeling of getting new weapons and killing enemies.

Nice game!

I feel like having an installer for a small game jam game is a little overkill. I also was a little lost on the first level, now knowing I had to be on the south face of the terminal to be able to access it. But once I figured that out, I really liked it

Thanks for playing! I realized a little to late that zip would've been a better option, just habit I guess haha!
