Great game! I love the strong atmosphere this game presents, does a great job backing up the RPG elements, and getting to set the characteristics at the start is cool! It was disheartening to finally make it to the pyramid to find out I was missing the scarab and die soon thereafter, but I enjoyed the journey and the obelisks were helpful.

Alas I could not get this to run properly on my Mac in Chrome. Would load a screen, then a long wait, then another screen, then long wait, and then crash :(
Thanks for pointing this out! I hadn't thought to try it on my Mac. I was able to get it working on Chrome in my M1, but only with a considerable amount of patience. There's a loading step that happens when you click "OK" after choosing your RPG attributes. What it's doing is building out the A* pathfinding graph for the entire map. I'm planning on making that clear with a loading screen once voting is over.
On my Linux desktop this takes about 3-5 seconds, but on my M1 mac it takes about 5 minutes (and also freezes all other chrome tabs). Once I cleared that loading step the game seems to run OK.
I wonder what's going on here? I'm curious why the performance on Mac is so much worse.
Wow, what an amazing game!
Great looks, polish and gameplay. Awesome art. Hex grid and pathfinding is impressive. Entire map is beautiful, UI fits the game well. Great job with the dialogue options and the RPG elements.
I managed to complete it on the first playthrough, although I had to backtrack from the pyramid to find the scarab :) Managed to buy 2 lamps and find the sceptre during my playthrough.
I think there's a small bug with the dialogue events, when you click through the place the event pops up, but if you continue moving after that, the next dialogue will be "there's nothing else here" and I don't think you get the resources if you don't go through the dialogue? - I encountered that with an oasis while clicking through it: dialogue popped up, but the character kept walking and the next dialogue popped up with "nothing else here".
Great job!
I can only say “It’s a perfect fit” to the theme too! Really liked the game. Visuals, Controls, Accessibility all were great. The only thing the map was very big, made the events repetitive and it took some time to reach the end. Some more sounds on reaching objects would have been cool. Beside that great game and really liked it! Lots of effort you have put here and it is def. visible. Great Job!
The movement kind of seemed to break for me after playing a while, but maybe i reached a map edge or smth? I would have loved a few pointers like the obelisks for the pyramid as where to find the other needed stuff as i felt quite clueless arriving at the pyramid with items missing.
Still a cool experience overall!
Damn, this is a large game with quite a few systems built in! Really well put together in this short time. I enjoyed sneaking around in desert and finding ínteresting stuff. Well done!
great effort - could do with a loading screen after selecting your attributes tho, i thought it had crashed. Great once it got started tho!
Nice graphics. This is one of those games where you can spend hours playing in one go. As an improvement, I recommend providing more explanation about the game's story and adding a button to access the game options. Good luck! :)
