Really unique and interesting spin (no pun intended) on the theme. Its nice that it allows up to 4 players. I only wish that there was more maps to play on.

Developer

Love a good pun :) some map options would be a good start for sure. Thanks for playing!

Cute game! A very simple idea that's well executed upon. I like the dual purpose design of attacking and moving with the punch.

A bit more responsiveness to the controls (like automatically changing the spin direction when hitting something while it spins, maybe with a bit more of a sense of momentum and some self-knockback, a faster top-speed when the spin accelerates, changing spin direction being a little more reactive, maybe being able to counter punches with your own punch...) could make the experience maybe even more enjoyable!

Nice touch having the controls for each players displayed in the sidebars :)

Great job!

Thank you so much for playing! There's a lot of fine tuning to be done to juice this up, and I'll definitely try out your suggestions to see how they feel!

If this was one of those small multiplayer games that you can play during breaks with your friends, I would definitely play it a lot! Nice entry!

Developer

That's kinda how it was made too: sitting down just having fun with a good friend. Thanks for playing!

That's a fun concept for the punch mechanics and it's well executed.  Nice choice for the sound track.

Developer

Glad you enjoyed! Kevin Macleod never fails to drop a bop

Great quirky party game! Would definitely enjoy playing this with friends.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Hopefully the solo mode was enough to hold you over til the next game night :)

nice minimalistic game that is also fun!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for playing :)

I love the simplicity of this, it's easy to get and super fun to play :)

Developer

Controls like that are hard to get right, so I'm so glad you think so! Thanks for playing :D

Really fun and easy to grasp! The minimalist gameplay and aesthetic really helps it come together as a nice party-style game. I think it would fit extremely well into a Mario Party game or something similar to that!

WOW, now if this doesn't feel like a finished game I don't know what does, this is really impressive it get's everything right, the music, the visuals, the gameplay, the game loop, all really satisfying. You and your brother should be very proud of yourselves, and good job on this game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the confidence! We had a lot of fun making it, and we're so happy you had a good time playing it!

Really means a lot that you see a strong foundation for us to build on :,)

This was so much fun! I can't wait to play it with some friends and have a blast haahhaa, To be honest this is one of the most creative games I found, is hilarious and adorable, I really like the design you went with for the robots!

Overall it was really fun!

Thank you for playing!

You can check out the artist in some of the links above. I couldn't have made this what it is without amazing artists who put their work out for us.

Immediately recognized the music from pummel party good song choice to match the gameplay, but im curious what that was called on unity store/freesound cause it could be a good asset to use in the future.

Gameplay is super fun though I actually ended up playing this a few times lol, I could see this getting nutty with friends as well.

I don't actually have  any constructive criticism to give as it played really well and was simple to master.  Maybe some power ups for longer matches? Great game though :)

Developer(+1)

Powerups would be so much fun in this! The buttons were actually supposed to give new powers, but with the time we had left, we decided a big BOOM was enough :)

Thanks for playing!

This is a Nintendo Switch party game waiting to happen! What a load of fun packed in such a simple game. Very. Good. Job!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing and the words of encouragement! It would be awesome to get this on the switch

Your core mechanic have a really fun concept and despite the game being so small it holds up very well, also the music is nice to listen to. There are a few things that could see some improvements:

1. The battery/health shouldn't flip with the character when changing direction, it makes it harder to read. Adding a color to the bars/circles would also be nice. 2. You should try to include a way of turning off the audio, no matter how good it sounds (it does sound good). 3. When using art from several sources you should keep an eye out for inconsistent art styles and "mixels" (using art with different pixel resolutions), you can also use a pixel art program to downscale art that have too high resolution for the rest of the game. The impact/explosion art you are using not only have a different resolution and style but also use a different color palette than the rest. Resolving this would make the game feel more cohesive. Overall I ranked the game pretty high due to how well put together the gameplay and audio was! Too bad I don't have anyone to play with :)

Developer

Thanks for playing, and for such thorough feedback!

These are all fixes and features I wanted to put in, but just due to the speed of game-jam-development, something as obvious as a sound setting just fell to the side (major faux pas, I know!) I was just thinking "well it's an explosion! it works"

Hope you got to enjoy the single player (vs AI) mode, regardless. And thanks again for a strong direction to take it to make it more cohesive

Feels like something I would have played for hours on those flash game websites back in the day

This is exactly the vibe I was hoping for, glad you had a blast :)

Really fun game with a fantastic core mechanic! Really want to play this with others!

Developer(+1)

Awesome!
I absolutely love the controls, and with just 2 buttons you can instigate a melee brawl.

Those are some good beats too.

Developer

So glad you enjoyed! but which 2 buttons?? :D

Very original game concept. Would love to the see this developed further!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Me too, there's some decent potential for a few new game modes :0
