Very very well done im impressed! I had a similar idea but I didnt end up going with it, glad to see someone did! The combat mechanics were a little weird, and the game was very hard to win. But other than that I had a great time and you should be really proud of the presentation. Really well done.

Thank you so much! We didn't really have enough time to balance things out but we're happy to hear you enjoyed it anyway! :D

Thank you for playing! We're glad you liked it! :)

Really solid concept with a nice minimalist presentation. There's an interesting strategy present around swapping quickly when you're low on health (or when you come across someone with higher health on the other side). Could be a lot of fun to flesh out with different team/ability types. Well done!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! Yeah, our goal was more levels and more factions!  However, 48 hours to create a game can be challenging! :P

Ooooh, I like it! The concept is pretty original!

Visual, it's great: you can easily see what's on screen, and the designs and colors are pretty!

Very good job! =D

this is really amazing game you just made!

Thank you so much for giving it a go! We're glad you enjoyed it!

Neat concept, the startegy i went for was waiting until there was only one alien, then swapping and trying to survive. Idk if that was the intended way to play

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! To be honest, every time I tried that strategy I ended up losing the game and I was glad I did, since we tried to guide the player to swap roles! Generally speaking, the goal is always the same but the strategy is up to you!

Maybe I'm just dumb but I couldn't get the controls to work. I clicked into it and went into full screen and everything but it never seemed to accept any commands. Seemed like it might've been fun to! Let me know if you have any suggestions and I'll give it another go.

Developer

Thanks for giving it a go! We haven't encountered a single bug after -believe me- so much game testing! Did you try the WebGL version or the Windows one?  Did you have trouble clicking the buttons on the UI?

Love this concept - embracing the role of traitor and hopping between sides to try and ensure maximum destruction was a blast! I thought the autoshooting was a good call, forcing the player to act fast if they intended to perform a swap so as not to inflict too much damage on the target before taking them over

The music works fantastically with the bright neon colours and futuristic theme, really selling the sci-feel :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for your kind words! The auto shooting was a call made on the fly to ensure the player had the right objective in mind and not mindlessly killing everyone! We're all glad you enjoyed it! :)

That is really clever idea. I had an aha moment when I lost for the second time (first game I didn’t yet understand rules). It felt like playing multiplayer game but with myself as an enemy.

Developer

Thank you for trying it! When we first thought of this concept we had the same questions that you have! :P

Nice entry! It reminded me of the Dota hero Terrorblade, losing health on purpose and swapping! Good job!

Developer

Hey thank you so much for playing! Dota is my most played game but I didn't think of "Sunder" until you just mentioned it. However I could hear Ember Spirit saying "Balance in all things" all the time haha

Balance in all things! Nice game idea, the gameplay is literally the theme! I like the polished feel of the game, the neon glow of the art! Good job! :D

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for trying it out and for your kind words! Question: Is "Balance in all things" an intended dota ember spirit reference or am I just imagining things?

Submitted(+1)

I had Thanos in mind when I wrote that, but you're right.. it's more Ember Spirit! Wow, brings back memories of Dota! haha :D

Developer(+1)

Oh yeah, Thanos! I totally forgot about him! Thanks again! :)

Cool idea and pretty fun game. The music was really good and the art was very eye catching.

Thank you for giving it a go!😀

Very interesting concept! I just wish I could manually shoot instead of it being automatic, to have a bit more control or gameplay elements.

Developer

We aimed to simplify the controls as much as possible, which is why we implemented the auto-shooting. Maybe offering a choice to the user between auto and manual shooting might be a better approach.
Thank you for trying our game and for your feedback!

The polish was really on point! I especially liked the shoot sound effect. The idea of balancing the two teams instead of just trying to trying to eliminate the enemy is super unique. I guess the only thing is that I wish there was more gameplay, but that's always the mark of a well done game!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for trying it out and for your kind words! Yeah, our goal was more levels but we came up with this idea a bit late. So everything was done in ~24 hours!
