How does your game fit the theme?
You play as a seed which flourishes into a flower at the end of a level and produces another seed when the flower dies. The cycle repeats itself this way.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, except the font which is linked in the description (I have a proper license), and the other user (bl-nero) is a part of my team.

Really nice Game! I love the concept of this! The seed sometimes felt hard to control, but still you've done a great job!

Really love how much the ground pops out in front of the black background. Music was nice but some sound effects somewhere would be nice. Overall, very nice result!

A delightful and beautiful relaxing, physics-based flight game.

Pros: gorgeous visuals, relaxing music, intuitive controls, overall really artistic concept. I appreciate that you took the theme artistically instead of literally. It doesn't have a major effect on the gameplay but it's encompassed in the entire game being about the circle of life. When one flower dies the next seed goes on to grow anew.

Cons: not much, you really chose a very achievable scope and nailed it! I will say the power of the wind being based on distance took a couple of minutes to figure out so it would have been nice to have that explained, things like pause screens are always good but it's not going to lose you any points to not have one when everything else is so polished, I was going to suggest some UX like indicators for which direction you're going or where the next checkpoint is but I'm on the fence because the lack of "game" things kinda helps the artistic message of the experience. It was a bit hard to fly up with the game not being full-screen but that was easily fixed by just downloading it instead of playing in browser. (obligatory audio professional with audio in his name cares about audio and might be a bit biased) I would have loved to see some sound design and not just music, it's the only way the game really felt empty to me.

Overall this has been one of my favorite games so far and it was delightful to experience.

That's a lot of really good advice, tysm! I'm gonna make sure to follow it in the future.

Fun fact, the feature where wind speed was dependant on how far you click from the screen center was actually an absolute accident but I decided to leave it in!

Either way, thanks a lot for the advice :3

Its a very nice little game, i very much like the visuals and the methode you used to let the player controll the flowerseed. The Levels are very well designed, but are a bit empty, sometimes you only see your seed and the background. I think it would help to indicate with some kinde of arrow where the next checkpoint is. Also you can design your levels a bit more with for exampel moving platforms or so. I would like to see this game finished and be fully released^^.

Full release is my plan! This is the rare case of me liking a project :3

Anyways, thanks for the nice review and valuable tips! I'll make sure to work on these issues.

I was planning on adding platforms that can have interactions with the wind but I ran out of time though.

Fun fact, the way how you can control flower speed was an absolute accident, I didn't even intend to add it and I accidentally did and it worked so well that it stopped being a bug!

I found the cake :)

Nice chill game, I wish there were more levels, and maybe an actual background, so you can see yourself moving when you strand a bit away from the decor. But it was neat!

Developer(+1)

There probably won't be much background when I continue working on this cuz I personally like the current style but thanks for the tip od adding a way to know you're stranding away! I'll figure something out to combat the way you can get lost sometimes :3

Have a nice day!

The visuals and the music is really good. The gameplay idea is fun, but the controls was pretty difficult and I have very little idea where I was suppose to go. I sadly also missed the most of the text. Overall I will still say that it's a pretty well made and fun jam game. Well done.

Thanks for the review! I'll try to figure out how to fix said issues :3

Visually impressive! I like the bright glowing colours on the black background. Really interesting control system too! I did find it a bit difficult to progress though as any little hit would pull you back. So, my suggestion would be to include some kind of health system where bits of the flower fall off.

Honestly, this idea is actually really good! I'm most likely going to make something similiar to it in the final product!

I think this is the 4th dandelion game I've played and this is my favorite, art-wise - love the style.

Super unique concept. The graphics were also great. I love the way you implemented the theme as well.

Very cute game. I had fun floating around and also hitting mach 7 speeds. Great inclusion of the theme too, this was a fun game!

I'm glad to hear you liked it!

Great submission! Super super creative interpretation of the theme. The controls are simple and satisfying which makes the game feel great. The atmosphere is very relaxing as well. Only complaint is that I think the camera could be zoomed out because I felt it that by the time I saw obstacles it was often too late to avoid it.

Overall great work on this!

Developer

I'll check out the camera issue after the jam's over thankss

Great game! It absolutely fits the theme and although there are definitely some hard parts but the controls feel quite satisfying. One thing I would suggest is putting the texts statically on the screen rather than at different level positions because it makes them quite challenging to read. The graphics  and the music are really good as well and they really fit the mood of the game.

Developer

I'll definitely note that when I update this after the jam!
