Hey this is really neat! Like the other said, aiming with your mouth and slapping NPCs to buy stuff are really fun and unique features. Of course it's very fun to smash watermelons, and actually fight the Fire Elementals, but the slapping is the best part for me. The UI is very attractive and thank you for a clear tutorial so I could learn the mechanics of the game. So impressed by what you've been able to make in 9 days! Top notch all around :)

Thank you so much for the feedbacks! I'm really glad that people could enjoy the game!
I really put lot of effort during these 9 days (and also I quite never slept) but after all I know that I waste lot of time in some stupid things that I could do easier with some tool I used in the end (ex. I've done the level 1 in 3 hours thanks to Polybrush and spent like 5 hours only doing the Tutorial environment.)
Of course I will do all the improvement needed to make the gameplay more fast and enjoyable thanks for all your feedbacks!
This is really well polished and a very neat concept. Spitting out the seeds is something I haven't seen in a VR game before and it was pretty fun to aim with your mouth. The auto-aim assist on the throwing was also great, helped me a lot as I was in a small room. Overall really well-made game and I am very impressed. One thing I'd like is maybe two more holsters slightly behind the current ones so that you don't have to go back and get the watermelons as often. Nice job.
This feels very polished and clean.
Lots of fun interactions and who doesnt love throwing melons and slapping people in the face !
Is there any way to actually store the melons instead of going constantly back to the shop? They seriously feel little bit underwhelming because of this, had really no reason to use anything but the seeds. Other than that, it's really fun and well polished and could definitely by expanded into a larger game.
Also spent way too much time punching people.
This is ridiculous! Probably one of the most polished VR game jam games I have ever played! The UI work is fantastic, the gameplay is fun, sound design is prime, and slapping to buy things is the only way the way I wish to purchase things in the future.
You're easily in the top of this game jam! Congrats on an amazing entry.
slapping should be the standard interface for all vr games lol, loved the visuals and even though the gameplay looks simple it was extremely addicting, mastering throwing two watermelons while spitting seeds at the same time felt pretty cool ngl. only thing i'd ask to improve is pretty simple: faster walking speed please but other than that its pretty much perfect, great job
This is super interesting: lot of mechanics such as different movement speeds, the Slap to buy is right on point and the improved aim is something that is super needed for good gamefeel in VR, and the dynamic UI is one of the bests in the Jam.
One improvement I would add is a shortcut to go back and buy more watermelons, I ran out of seeds and I have to flee away and feels too long.
Thank you for such a good entry!
This was pretty funny and fun! Good music. I wish the bridge was shorter, didn't like how long it took to 'reset'.
Amazing! I feel oddly thirsty now 😅 Feels very polished with fade and physics and even level events! And not to mention intense boss battle! The UI movement where great and never in the way, did you code it or was it an asset?
Also poor surfersbros getting slapped 😂
Incredibly well done. Only major issue I had was enemies only rendered in my left eye (Quest 2 with Link cable). Loved the dual use of the watermelons as weapons and ammo. Seriously great stuff. I want to see features you have here built into a full game!
The creativity here was amazing! Not only was the game really polished, but there was plenty of things to do that could keep you busy for a while. All of the music and effects made it even better.
The seed spitting mechanic was my personal favorite, as it felt so satisfying to land a shot and kill the enemies. My only suggestion would be to make the enemies easier to kill, as it took me a lot of tries. Other than that, one of my favorite games so far :)
Thank you so much! In the end I tried a bit to make the gameplay right, I mean, not too easy, but even not too hard. As someone already said, happen easily that you arrive in a certain point without watermelon or seed (I don't know if you knew that you could keep watermelons in holsters) but anyway I will polish it more!!
Very cool, the idea of using watermelons to defeat fire monsters is perfect for summer. The mechanics of the watermelons are very well integrated, they serve for everything! as a weapon, as ammunition and to recover life. I had problems defeating the big fireball, I had to go back several times to buy more watermelons and it interrupts the rhythm of the game a bit, it would be nice to make it a little easier to defeat. I ended up spending all the gems on upgrades and ran out of gems to buy more watermelons. Partly because the way you buy items is just too much fun!
In general it is a very original and fun game, congratulations!
Nice work! The vibe of the game is great, and the watermellon throwing is super satisfying.
I haven’t seen ThrowLab before, it looks pretty cool - what do you think about it? Does it just hook into HurricaneVR, or did you have to do some work to get the two of them working together?
Thank you so much! Is quite easy to integrate with HurricaneVR. Mainly you have to attach a component on the throwable object called Throw Handle. In a custom script you have to create a function where you can get dinamically the hand grabber from the OnGrab() public event from HVRGrabbable. Inside that custom function you have to call onAttach() that is a script required of ThrowLab to start elaborate data's and in the public event On Release of HVRGrabbable from Throw Handle you call onDetach that is the function needed to throw the object.
In the end you just need to add a component on the target called Throw Target, and you have done.
If you are going to purchase it and you need help, contact me and i wil help you!
Anyway about ThrowLab I think is one of the best framework I ever tried for throwing objects. Because as you say, is really satisfying!
But also I have to say that you need to do a little bit more work if you work with pooling system.
