Found same glitch as @suffering.sappho and for me, the music only played in certain rooms. Not sure if that was on purpose. Honestly had to look at your notes of what to do because the game was not intuitive enough. I almost did not make it to the end because even though I kept clicking it did not always walk me foward.

That being said I would love to see what you could do with it if you polished it more.

The music choice for the end is beautiful.

I'm speechless, didn't expect anything of waht I got from this game. I was completely inmersed from the first second on the game, like if I was there. What a beautiful experience. Congratulations on bringing us this special story.

I think that it is refreshing to see someone trying to do point & click.  Keep growing these skills and tell some neat stories!

I think I got stuck in the coffee shop. I went in there a second time after going into the cave, but I wasn't able to leave again.

Huh! That's not a bug I've encountered before. I'll try and reproduce it. Thanks for letting me know.

Super immersive and great story! played at https://twitch.tv/hedgein

Love it alot! Probably one of my favorites <3

I LOVED this game - my favorite one I've played from the jam so far. The interpretation of the theme is so beautiful and moving, and the art style works perfectly with it. Fantastic writing, too. The emotional notes really landed for me, especially tearing the painting.

From a mechanical perspective, I occasionally had trouble grabbing and combining items - especially when I was in the cave, whenever I tried to grab the paintbrush it moved me out of the room. And there was a bug at one point where the danish was sort of floating in midair (screenshot below). But I thought it all worked really well, and this is a truly special game.

Man, I thought I'd fixed the "incredible floating danish" bug. Well, thanks for letting me know.

Really cool art, it is a really great game.

Great, immersive atmosphere! Playthrough was pretty smooth. Some form of highlighting for interactable objects would be nice, but not absolutely required. Good job!

Interesting game! It's not too scary at all!

I think I really like the concept. The stylized artstyle is so amazing and the story is chillingly good. When there is an audio it is also good. I think it conveys the experience of emotional abuse really well :3

Like most point and click adventures though I suppose this suffers from similar problems; mainly that sometimes I as the player don't know what I can do and what I should do - this is the problem with basically all point and click though so I'm not sure what you can do about it. This gets even harder though the more "junk" items you give. For example, was there a reason why you put the toy mouse? I did not catch any significant meaning to it, but it clutters the inventory. When I got the paper with the call for help I tried to combine it with my dead phone and with the phone in the parents' house too but turns out I couldn't.

Perhaps the biggest problem though is when the text from the narrator overflowed from the black screen above. I think the text box can also have more polishing.

the idea, music and audio were really good, but i don't get why the story is narrated between abuser and victim, if i don't read your description before hand. It felt more like the main character is talking to an imaginary friend inside his head. Anyway, i'm always a big fan of story-driven game so great job!

The art style is super nice, the story is also good. I would have loved some indicator (like a outline around the object) additionaly to the cursor changing when i hover over things i can interact with. Overall this is a game i would recommend to people who like the point and click genre.

Congratz on submitting your first jam game!

Art & Music very cool! But even better, the story behind. Maybe something like a victim of abuse needs some more development & time to really see the evolution of the main character, the abuser and the whole story between them, which was not possible as part of a jam, logically. I thought "the voice" was the character itself by preventing him/her from taking decisions and move on, but maybe my bad or my own intepretation :).

Congrats for the game!

Finally able to play this game and finish it till the ending!

art was beautiful!!! story was also very sad but engaging! and the choice of the music was exceptional!

didn't play point and click game too much before but this is a fresh air from the other entries and a very interesting one!

The only feedback that I can give is probably a clearer cue to what to do next but, in overall, awesome!

The game was good, the text went out of the box one time. Another thing is in the browser version you can't play full screen. At times it could be confusing, and it is hard from the game to pick up on the theme. But the visuals are amazing and the game itself was very well made. Great game.

Wow! Okay your visual style and art was so so beautiful and breathtaking! The sketched/painted look was so endearing and the softness of that partnered with how subversive the abuser character is creates such an eerie atmosphere. Along with that I thought that your writing of the dialogue for the story told through this omnipresent voice was really effective and well done! The storytelling only comes from this scary "friend's" perspective letting the player fill in what the character is feeling. I thought the pacing was nice and the little bits of info you get from all of these places they seem to frequent is very immersive. Then boom things get extra wild at dinner and seeing how that escalates really made me fully engrossed! Along with that the underscoring of the whole thing with the music in the cave and how it comes back as you get into the ending scenes really is effective and again the more gentle sounds of the flute partnered with the chaos of the events were wonderful! Great work!

Awesome gameplay ! I really loved the atmosphere and music of this game ! Great job dev. Do check out my game also

Solid choice of music!

Personally, I think you nailed the aspect of the caring "friend" -- but of course, that's probably a bit subjective.
Moving on from that, I really like how the game progressed! Although I did have to consult the comments and guide a bit in order to see how to work the painting, overall the game was very well-made and covered all the points I would hope it did.
On a second note, I kinda wish there was some sort of use to the mobile phone and the telephone, considering we were given our parents' number to call.
Great work overall!

Loved the art style! The narrator was really interesting, it added a cool dimension to it. I was just a little confused at the end if I had finished the game or not. I was at the dinner scene and I tried to click out thinking the game would have a final moment to button it all up, but it seemed like I couldn't leave. It would have been nice to see a "the end" or some kind of final scene. All-in-all though, I loved the experience. Good job!
