This was a solo project. I intentionally kept the scope small because I work full time, but it was still a challenge to finish in time.

Very cool! I love the way that the game "accelerates" when you move towards the top of the screen - I don't think I've ever seen that in this style of game. It's a nice touch, and it works extremely well in the 64x64 resolution.

I wanted to play, but I didn't want to download a RAR extraction tool for Windows 10. Could you upload this game as a zip file so I don't need to get a separate tool to play it?

I am... quite poor at games like this, but the movement kept me trying again... The feeling of rushing through space here is quite unique. Like another commenter wrote, I think sound would take this game to another level, but even without it, it's an enjoyable experience for sure~

Super cool game! Really enjoyed being the captain of my own starship : ) The visuals were done beautifully in the tiny canvas, from the trails of the warp nacelles to the flashing phasers to the star trails. Being able to control my speed was a nice touch, and the whole powerup/phaser/sensor system was done really well. It would consistently freeze for me however, maybe once every 10-15 seconds. It wasn't very impactful on gameplay, but it was noticeable. Overall, well done!

Hello! Thank you for playing my submission last year. I was reviewing some old code and found the bug that was causing the stuttering issue you described. I have uploaded a fix, thank you for your feedback and happy jamming!

I really love the star trails. It looks soo cool. I love that all of the rules of this game are shown not told, like moving forward speeds up time which you can see with the star trails. Also really love the color palette.

Nice work! I love the star trails in the background, very very slick. I also didn't expect ammo to be so tight, but I think it's a cool idea to have a space shooter with such a limited clip like this. Most space shooters pretty much have you spamming shots everywhere, so this game was a cool change of pace!

The sensors were also a really neat idea. Seeing a gap in the red and being able to just power forward as fast as I wanted was a great reward for picking up and using the sensors.

Great work!

It was such an enjoyable game!

I have started my game development journey with space shooter games and I always like it when I see one! Great use of resolution restriction with great visuals. Maybe the visuals aren't perfect on their own but they make up a great whole and fit the space theme you've created very well. It was a few minutes of solid gameplay for me.

Well done!

Nice litle game. I specially liked the artstyle and the color pallete. But I couldn't hear any sounds. I have latest Java installed.

Unfortunately, there was no sound, because I ran out of time. Although... I suppose there is no sound in space anyway. 😜 Thank you for playing!

Clicked because Enterprise 1701, did not disappoint.  Fun little experience!

What!? Enterprise? I'm afraid you must be mistaken. This is nondescript starship flight simulator 2021. Totally unaffiliated with any brand or intellectual property.
