Did you work in a team?
I was doing Solo. It was chaotic & stressfull but damn, the feeling of creating somthing is worth all the pain.

Was the resolution a challenge?
I never did any resolution restricted jam. So this was lil bit hard. But in the end I managed to figure out stuffs.

What did you learn?
I learned a lot about unity. One thing I realized the importance of pre-planning and time management haha. But considering its my 2nd game, I'm pretty satisfied and had fun.

Art style is so good. SFX are also good.  However gameplay needs variety I think. I see you didn't have time. Maybe consider adding more fighting mechanics later :)

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I ran out time for various reason. So I had to put together something which is slightly playable haha. I'll try to update it whenever I get time. Thanks for playing!

Fun game I like the color scheme for the pixel art background and the character.

Developer

I'm glad you liked my game. Thanks for playing!

Nice visuals. Very atmospheric.

I know you have the controls listed on the page itself, but I think you should make the controls the first thing you list. I had to scroll to view them, and by that point I was already getting attacked by a monster.

Thankfully, the monsters in the first levels come at you so slowly you don't die right away. Maybe you could do a tutorial level where you teach people the basics of moving and attacking, just so we get used to controls before getting thrown into the action?

Developer

Thank you for this detailed feedback. I completely agree with what you've mentioned.  I completely forgot about the tutorial thing in the rush.  Again thanks for playing and thanks for feedback.  I'll try to improve on these aspects in my next jam.

Great little game, well done! I noticed that sometimes the monsters just stand still and take the beats... not sure if that's intended or a (minor) bug?

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Yes it has some bug with the enemy following. I ran out of time to fix bugs and adding a music. I'll try to update the game whenever I get some time. Anyways Thanks for playing!!

Great colours and pixel art, you have perfectly captured that mysterious and creepy feeling :) And I really like the ambience sounds that you've picked! Overall you did a great job, thank you so much for sharing your game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for playing it. And I'm really glad you enjoyed it!!

The visuals are great, love the colour scheme and the animations. The player's movement felt a bit sluggish though. Also wished the enemy had some forewarning before attacking but the game was still playable nonetheless. My high score was 2000.

Developer(+1)

Yes I totally understand that. Actually I had like 2days to work on everything except sprites and basic movement because of semester related tasks. I'll try to fix and polish the game after jam, when I'll get time. Anyways thanks for playing!!

A very simple game, looks good and sounds good though. I think you accomplished what you set out to do and it works! Well done

Developer

Thanks for Playing !!

I really love your color palette and backgrounds, but I don't think this is rendered in true 64x64. From what I can tell, it looks like the gameplay is rendered in 64x64 but the interface is not?

Developer

Actually yes, this was my first time working with unity so I couldn't figure out how render the canvas elements in 64x64 native. I was trying to solve but ran out of time. Thanks for playing though!
